Al Abdulghani Motors celebrates young talent at Toyota Dream Car Art Contest award ceremony

Al Abdulghani Motors, the authorized distributor of Toyota in Qatar, announced the winners of the 18th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest during a special ceremony held recently at the Toyota showroom at Lusail.
The event brought together students, parents, teachers, Qatari athletes Ali Arshid and Cherif Younousee, and representatives of Al Abdulghani Motors to honour the creativity and imagination of the next generation.
This year's contest welcomed more than 500 creative drawings from students across more than 200 schools in Qatar. Young artists were invited to design their 'Dream car', a vehicle that brings happiness, solves real-world challenges, or contributes to a better tomorrow.
The artworks reflected inspiring ideas that ranged from sustainability and environmental protection to community unity and compassion.
The contest featured three age categories: under 7 years, 8 to 11 years, and 12 to 15 years. Three winners were selected from each category and honored during the event by senior management from Al Abdulghani Motors, who presented them with certificates and exciting prizes.
The winning drawings will be submitted to the World Contest in Japan, and if selected at the global level, winners will receive valuable prizes from Toyota Motor Corporation. An additional 25 finalists were recognized for their outstanding creativity, and three of them were awarded based on the results of an online competition hosted by Al Abdulghani Motors, where the public was invited to cast their votes.
During the ceremony, Qatari athletes Ali Arshid, a member of the Global Team Toyota Athletes (GTTA) program, and Cherif Younousse, Qatar's beach volleyball champion sponsored separately by Al Abdulghani Motors, joined the celebration, bringing an extra spark of inspiration to the young participants.
The athletes interacted with the students, encouraging them to pursue their passions with determination and creativity. They shared powerful insights from their journeys as national champions, highlighting the values of perseverance, discipline, and the courage to dream big principles that resonate with the vision of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest and the core values of Toyota Motor Corporation.
Since its launch in 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has engaged over 9.4 million children from 144 countries. More than just a competition, it is a platform to nurture imagination and celebrate the artistic expression of the next generation of inventors, thinkers, and dreamers.
Al Abdulghani Motors continues to champion this global contest in Qatar as part of its Corporate Social & Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, fostering creativity and providing young talents with a platform to showcase their vision for a better world.

Lusail International Circuit to host 2026 MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix
The international federation of motorcycling (FIM) announced on Wednesday the calendar for the 2026 FIM MotoGP World Championship, which will feature 22 rounds across five continents in its 78th edition, reaffirming its position as one of the world's most prestigious sporting events. The FIM has decided that the fourth round of the championship will be held at the Lusail International Circuit in Doha from April 10-12. This is part of the ongoing strategic cooperation between the FIM and the Qatari circuit, which is hosting the MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix for the 22nd consecutive year since joining the world championship in 2004. The new season will kick off at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand, and conclude at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. The Lusail International Circuit is one of the world's most prominent venues for MotoGP racing, thanks to its staging the only full night race of the season under its tracks' legendary lights, which is considered one of the most exciting and popular events. Khalil Al Jabir elected as Bureau Member of World Aquatics
Tribune News Network Doha Khalil Ibrahim Al Jabir, Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy and former President of Qatar Swimming Association (QSA), has been elected as a Bureau Member of World Aquatics for the 2025–2029 term. The announcement came during the World Aquatics General Congress held on the sidelines of the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore. Al Jabir, a leading figure in Qatari and Asian aquatic sports, previously served as QSA president from 2008 to 2024. His longstanding service to the sport includes being first elected to World Aquatics in 2017, followed by a key role in 2021 when he was selected at the Doha General Assembly as one of the members representing host nations of the World Championships. His re-election this year is another milestone in a distinguished career dedicated to advancing aquatic sports on a global scale. In addition to his World Aquatics responsibilities, Al Jabir also holds the position of Vice President of the Asian Aquatics Federation for the 2024–2029 term, a role he secured during the 2024 general assembly in Bangkok, Thailand.
