Fife neighbours scoop cash jackpot on BBC quiz show Bridge of Lies
The team of four from Coaltown of Wemyss, scooped the £4,575 prize money in a nail-biting finale on Wednesday.
The contestants included former Courier reporter Craig Smith and his wife, Lyndsey, along with neighbours, Nicola Forrest and Kenny Rodger.
Contestants compete against the clock using their general knowledge, strategic skills, and often luck, to spot correct answers as well as lies in order to cross the bridge.
The prize money mounts up depending on the number of players who successfully make it across.
The contestants then team up to take on the 'final crossing' challenge.
If they successfully make it across by answering a series of questions correctly, they win the prize money accumulated during the show.
The quiz is hosted by actor Ross Kemp, famous for his role as Grant Mitchell in Eastenders.
Tackling questions on subjects including holidays, theatre, names and the Stephen Spielberg films, all four made it across the bridge.
This allowed them to go for the £4,575 prize pot working as a team to navigate across the bridge.
With two of the team already out before completing the task, it was Lyndsey's turn to face the final question.
And it was an agonising few seconds before host, Kemp, revealed that she was correct and they had scooped the prize money.
The four hugged and cheered as they were congratulated by Kemp before revealing they would use the money on a group holiday ot Turkey.
Speaking after the show was broadcast, Craig said he'd always wanted to be a contestant on a TV quiz show.
He said: 'I applied initially one night, probably after a bottle of wine, thinking it wouldn't go anywhere but they gave us a call back and it went from there really.
'I've always liked the show as it's usually on around teatime in the background, and you end up just shouting at the screen.
'So I thought 'why not give it a go?'
The 43-year-old former Courier reporter said he couldn't believe it when he found out his application had been successful.
He added: 'It was filmed last September, so it's been around nine months to wait for it to come on.
'We had a brilliant time at the studios in Glasgow, and Ross Kemp is a really nice guy as well.
'We were last on the day to film, so it went on until about 8pm.
'None of us could watch it go out live, so we all gathered together to watch it on iPlayer with a wee glass of fizz to celebrate.'
Craig said that the money had been put towards a holiday in Turkey in July for the team as well as several other Coaltown of Wemyss neighbours.

Theo's behaviour leaves Todd confused in Corrie as he taken away by the police
Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce)'s relationship with Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in Coronation Street hasn't been plain sailing by any means. It was quickly revealed that Theo was struggling with his sexuality. As their relationship has developed we've learned more about Theo's past and that he endured a very bigoted upbringing in which he was put through conversion therapy to try to 'cure' his gay feelings. This has left him with lasting trauma, and the reappearance of a man called Noah (Richard Winsor) – who was involved in the conversion therapy and still wants to 'save' Theo from himself – has made things so much worse. Noah is in a relationship with Theo's estranged wife, Danielle (Natalie Anderson), and this has further complicated an already difficult situation, with Theo's love for his children being used against him. What doesn't seem to be in doubt is his affection for Todd, with Theo recently suggesting they should try to find a place of their own to live together. But there have been hints that Theo's attitude to Todd can be quite controlling, as we saw when Todd was getting close to James Bailey (Jason Callender) and Theo warned him off. 'We're starting to spot some anger management issues on Theo's part, at the very least,' Gareth Pierce told Metro. 'There's some flashes of anger that have left Todd shocked but equally, because he's had that insight into the conversion therapy and where Theo is coming into this new life from, he's perhaps willing to guide him through it. 'Our audience are probably also spotting some of those flashes of jealousy and perhaps a kind of need to control that maybe Todd is not currently spotting or doesn't want to spot.' This behaviour is in the spotlight again in coming episodes. Todd is excited to hear that the corner shop flat is up for rent and suggests to Theo that they could consider it. But soon Theo is irritated when Todd decides to bring George (Tony Maudsley) to Dev (Jimmi Harkishin)'s stag do. As Todd starts enjoying himself at the party, Theo says he has a headache and insists they go home. Soon after this incident, Theo suggests a night out and is annoyed when Todd says he planned to spend the evening with Summer (Harriet Bibby). When she tells Theo he's very welcome to join them for pizza in front of the telly, he refuses and sulkily says he's going to the pub. There's a more disturbing incident to come. Theo is approached by police officer Jess (Donnaleigh Bailey), who says there's been a report of an incident at the precinct and he needs to come to the police station to answer questions. Netflix, from Wednesday 6 August The crimes of Peter Sutcliffe (and the flawed police investigation) have proved irresistible to documentary-makers, with the BBC and Netflix recently offering up versions of events. In truth, this latest series doesn't add much to our understanding of Sutcliffe's crimes, though it does broaden to examine the infamous 'Wearside Jack' tape that was sent to police by a man claiming to be the killer. Former DCS Chris Gregg – who assembled a team to catch the hoaxer – is interviewed about his career-long involvement with the case. Fittingly, there's no hint of a cash prize here; instead the winning partnership will take home a golden litter tray. Given that cats are notoriously much harder to organise than dogs, they will have certainly earned it. Channel 4, from Thursday 7 August From Walter Presents, this daft but moderately creepy mystery drama from France stars Fantine Harduin as the titular teenager. When Promethea is hit by a car, she eventually wakes from a coma with no recollection of anything but her unusual name. Gradually, her memory starts to return but that proves to be a mixed blessing as a series of disturbing revelations about an unsolved recent murder start to spill out. At first, it seems that Promethea might have witnessed this killing – but could her involvement have been even more hands-on? Channel 4, from Friday 8 August
