In this article, we'll cover four Italian car brands named the most reliable of 2025.
The Fiat is a compact and reliable Italian vehicle. The Fiat 500 and the Fiat Panda both blend design with efficiency, which is ideal for daily driving. Newer Fiat models, like the Fiat 500e, have gained a reputation for dependability with their electric powertrains. Like any vehicle, regular maintenance and upkeep are the key to reliability. This means scheduling oil changes, tire rotations and other general maintenance according to Fiat's suggested schedule.
'Fiat has worked hard to build (and change) its reputation to one of reliability,' said Melanie Musson, auto industry expert with Auto Insurance. 'The 500 is one of the most reliable models in Fiat's lineup. The Panda is another solid model manufactured by Fiat. These cars are not fancy, but that helps make them easy to repair and less likely to have issues.'

Alfa Romeo is another Italian car brand that is built with a strong focus on reliability. Following customer feedback, Alfa Romeo significantly overhauled the Giulia and Stelvio models to improve their functionality and dependability. After these changes, many Alfa Romeo users report reliability improvements without impacting performance capabilities. Alfa Romeo stands behind its vehicles, providing buyers a 5-year/75,000-mile warranty. Like any other vehicle, Alfa Romeo vehicles require regular maintenance to optimize reliability.
'Alfa's been getting better,' said Alex Black, chief marketing officer at EpicVIN. 'The Giulia, especially later marks, has far fewer ills than earlier ones. They ironed most of the bugs out with earlier releases. The engines are sound, it corners tight, and it won't leave you stranded by the side of the road like was so often the case with earlier Alfas.'
Next up is the Maserati Grecale. This car offers impressive features, like a luxurious interior, a powerful engine and a sleek appearance. Complementing these features is the reliability of the Maserati Grecale. Maserati offers a standard 50,000-mile warranty. However, with scheduled maintenance, normal driving habits and consistent environmental conditions, the Maserati Grecale could be your go-to vehicle for years.
'Maserati's been working hard at quality control in recent times, and Grecale is their best-built SUV to date,' said Black. 'Electronics are more robust, and better customer support is behind it now.'
If you have the budget for an expensive sports car, the Ferrari brand has a history of prestige and reliability. Ferrari vehicles focus on engineering, ensuring they meet high-performance and reliability standards. While aggressive driving can strain components, reliable driving habits can improve the reliability of your Ferrari. If you have the funds to purchase a Ferrari, odds are you have other vehicles at your disposal. The fewer miles put on your Ferrari, the longer it is expected to last.

2026 Porsche 911 Club Coupe Is a 70th Anniversary Love Letter

Porsche has announced a limited-edition 911 Club Coupe model as a 70th anniversary gift to the Porsche Club of America. Based on the 911 Carrera T, the Club Coupe features a 388-hp flat-six, a six-speed manual, and an array of bespoke styling elements. The 2026 Porsche 911 Club Coupe will be limited to just 70 models, with PCA members getting exclusive dibs. Owning a Porsche and owning a Nissan are two wildly different experiences. Versas are great, but you aren't nearly as likely to have a well-dressed and knowledgeable enthusiast hovering around your engine bay asking impossibly niche questions from time to time. The Porsche Club of America has been bringing those kinds of diehard Stuttgart loyalists together for 70 years now, and Porsche is rewarding their unbridled passion with a new limited-edition 911 Club Coupe model. Porsche This isn't the first time that the PCA has been gifted an exclusive anniversary model. It has happened twice before, first with a 997.1 Club Coupe for the group's 50th anniversary and then with a 991-based GTS Club Coupe for its 60th. The newest example is based on the 2026 911 Carrera T, which will undoubtedly be a popular choice among the purists. The standard Carrera T's 388-hp flat-six powertrain and six-speed manual transmission carry over to the 2026 Porsche 911 Club Coupe unchanged, gorgeous walnut shifter and all. While output remains consistent, a mechanical limited-slip differential and sport suspension with a 0.4-inch lower ride height than a standard 911 should bolster the Club Coupe's canyon-crushing capabilities. Porsche's Sport Chrono package, rear-axle steering, a PASM Active Suspension Management adaptive damping setup, and a sport exhaust are also included. Porsche The Club Coupe is finished in bespoke Sholar Blue paint, accented with Brilliant Silver badging and Guards Red grille-slat inlays—a combo of hues that pays homage to the PCA's signature colors. Satin black 20-inch front and 21-inch rear RS Spyder wheels with silver spokes round out the exterior changes. If the Porsche Club connection wasn't clear from the door decals or grille badge, illuminated "Porsche Club of America" door sills give one last reminder before stepping inside. A black leather interior with Speed Blue and Guard Red stitching comes standard, but most examples will probably be outfitted with the optional extended equipment package that adds PCA-themed tartan seat inlays. Porsche Porsche Unless you're either a high-ranking or an extremely lucky member of the Porsche Club of America, the 911 Club Coupe is out of reach: only 70 examples will roll out of Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, with one remaining in Porsche's possession and another being raffled off to a fortunate PCA member. The other 68 examples will be offered up for sale exclusively to club members. Porsche hasn't yet released any pricing information for the new Club Coupe, but one thing is certain: it'll cost a whole lot more than the PCA's $56 yearly membership fee. Austin Parsons Associate Editor Austin's car fixation began at a young age and at 1:64 scale. Eventually, Hot Wheels weren't cutting it anymore, so he developed an obsession with his father's full-sized 1965 Ford Mustang instead. Desperate to break into the automotive industry, he bartered his way into a job at a local BMW dealership by promising to stop hurling nerdy technical facts at the salesmen who came into the neighboring coffee shop where he worked. That was also around the time when he started writing automotive reviews, news articles, and technical guides for a number of local and international publications. Now at Car and Driver, Austin brings more than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry and an all-so-common love-hate relationship with German engineering to the table. Read full bio

New Ferrari Hypersail Project Will Be Like An Oceangoing Ferrari Hypercar From The Future

Construction of Ferrari's Hypersail project is well underway We all know the legendary Italian brands that produce some of the most revered fashion, cars, and yachts in the world. But Ferrari is different. Ferrari is a religion. And now that Ferrari has just introduced its new Ferrari Hypersail project, high-performance hydrofoiling sailboat technology might never be the same again. The Ferrari Hypersail project has just been introduced Led by Team Principal Giovanni Soldini, Hypersail is a research and development platform focused on offshore sailing onboard a 100-foot-long hydrofoiling yacht is designed by French naval architect Guillaume Verdier to stabilize its flight on three points of contact. Verdier's most notable innovation is the use of a canting keel as the support for one of the foils, with the other two contact points being a foil on the rudder and, alternately, the two lateral foils. Ferrari Hypersail's Giovani Soldini is one of the most experienced offshore racing sailors on the ... More planet 'Hypersail is a new challenge that pushes us to go beyond our boundaries and expand our technological horizons,' says Ferrari Chairman John Elkann. 'At the same time, it perfectly aligns with Ferrari's tradition, drawing inspiration from our Hypercar, three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Designing a yacht for offshore racing is perhaps the ultimate expression of endurance. 'Giovanni Soldini is a key pillar of this project, not only because of his achievements as a sailor but also his unmatched experience in yacht development and construction. The excellent teamwork between Ferrari and Guillaume Verdier is bringing into existence a unique boat that will fly across the oceans, representing a real opportunity for innovation in both the nautical and automotive worlds.' advance drawings of Ferrari's new Hypersail project 'I'm happy and honored to be part of this adventure,' said Giovanni Soldini, Team Principal of Hypersail. 'An exciting challenge, backed by a truly unique team that brings together Ferrari's excellence and the expertise of specialists in ocean sailing design. The meeting of different cultures and advanced technologies is enabling us to build a yacht that is revolutionary in many respects. 'From a nautical perspective, it's innovative in both its structure and how it will fly. On the systems front, Ferrari's contribution is driving the development of on-board control technology that has never been seen before. To prepare as well as we can for the variability and force of the phenomena and conditions encountered at sea, our top priority is to strike the right balance between the pursuit of extreme performance and maximum reliability.' According to advance reports the Hypersail project is aiming for close collaboration between Ferrari, its partners, and suppliers. This approach will be used to develop systems in the areas of aerodynamics, energy efficiency, power management, and kinetic energy. The Ferrari Hypersail project is being built now and will launch next year Technology transfer from the realm of Ferrari sports cars is also key. The yacht will sail with a flight control system developed from the expertise acquired in the automotive sector – employing aerodynamic and structural calculation processes designed to ensure performance and safety for a monohull that will sail across oceans for extended periods with no external support of any kind. The monohull is also designed to operate exclusively using renewable energy sources, including solar, wind and kinetic energy. There is no combustion engine on board, and all the power required to run the control and motion systems for the foils, keel and rudder, as well as the full suite of on-board computers and instruments, must be generated autonomously while under sail. Mama Mia! The prototype is already under construction and due to launch next year. Watch this space.
