West Ham's Paqueta cleared of betting charges
The Brazilian international was charged with four alleged breaches of FA rules in relation to matches involving the Premier League side.
It was alleged that the 27-year-old directly sought to influence matches by intentionally seeking to receive a card from the referee for the "improper purpose of affecting the betting market".
He denied the charges and the independent regulatory commission found the charges not proven following a hearing.
The Football Association said two charges against Paqueta related to a failure to cooperate with its investigation had been found proven.
It said a commission would decide on an appropriate sanction for those proven breaches "at the earliest opportunity".
The Brazilian said in a statement issued by West Ham that he had always maintained his "innocence against these extremely serious accusations".
West Ham United vice-chair Karren Brady said: "We are pleased Lucas has been cleared. He has maintained his innocence from the outset, and as a club we have resolutely stood by him and supported him throughout the process."

On Friday, Aug 1, Gwent Police announced that multiple people had been taken into custody following what they described as a "violent" situation that prompted "online and social media commentary." Around 3:20 p.m. local time, officers responded to Commercial Road in the city of Newport, Wales, where a group of men were spotted "fighting in the street," according to authorities. Police arrested seven people — six men, ages 25, 28, 33, 40, 42 and 52, and a 17-year-old boy — and all remained in custody as of Saturday, Aug. 2. Of those arrested, four men were hospitalized. Two of them have since been charged, and two others remained in the hospital on Aug. 2. Onlookers posted apparent footage on social media of the Newport incident, which was shared as screengrabs by both the South Wales Argus and the Daily Mail. The video showed multiple people on Commercial Road outside of a restaurant carrying what appeared to be sticks. A few of the men had bloody injuries to their faces and arms as an argument persisted, with some of those involved swinging their weapons at each other. It remains unclear what prompted the altercation. Gwent Police did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for further information on Aug. 2. 'We will not tolerate anyone who acts in such a violent way on our streets or exposes members of our communities to such a horrific level of aggression when they go about their daily business," Gwent Police Chief Superintendent John Davies said in an initial statement. 'Violence in any form is completely unacceptable, and we have acted decisively in making these arrests; anyone else who is found to be involved in this violent disorder will also be dealt with." Davies added that a "live investigation" is underway and, social media commentary and speculation 'about the identities of those involved will not help us secure justice against those found to be responsible.' "There's no difference whether there's a good game or bad game," he said. "My dad still loves me." After a follow-up question, Austin finally admitted a good game gets him a stop at Chipotle. Watchdog appoints interim managers for troubled charity linked to Carrie Johnson
A watchdog has appointed interim managers to take over the running of an animal charity linked to Boris Johnson's wife. The Aspinall Foundation is facing an investigation by the Charity Commission after it raised 'serious concerns' about the charity's 'governance and financial management'. Founded in 1984, it runs breeding sanctuaries for endangered animals as well as operating the Howletts and Port Lympne animal parks in Kent, which were set up by gambling club host and animal enthusiast John Aspinall. Carrie Johnson was appointed head of communications for the foundation in 2021. The same year, it emerged that the charity paid more than £150,000 to the wife of the chairman of the trustees for 'interior design services'. The Charity Commission's interim managers – appointed in May this year – will also review whether any trustees or their family members have received any benefit from the charity. A spokesperson for the regulator said: 'Our inquiry into The Aspinall Foundation is ongoing. 'Towards the end of last year, fresh issues of concern were identified requiring us to embark on a further phase of investigation and our investigators are working hard to pursue these at pace. 'The Commission has now appointed interim managers to The Aspinall Foundation who will work alongside the existing trustees on specific areas in line with the charity's governing document.' The foundation has been approached for comment.
