Sourabh Raaj Jain is back on track with his latest show, Tu Dhadkan Main Dil, where he plays Raghav, a rockstar with a mission to reunite a young girl with her parents. In a recent interview, the talented actor shares the story behind his character, his comeback journey, and what drew him to this unique project.
In an exclusive conversation with The Times of India TV, Sourabh Raaj Jain opened up about his new show, describing it as a game-changer that defies typical drama conventions. He highlighted the show's emotionally driven narrative, emphasising its unique storyline and depth. Sourabh Raaj Jain teased fans, promising a lot of excitement and drama in the upcoming series.
The actor shared, 'I'm always drawn to roles that challenge me emotionally—characters that are flawed, complex, and human. When I read Raghav's story, it instantly resonated with me. The way the narrative explores the emotional gap between a father and daughter, and how that slowly begins to heal, felt deeply meaningful. It wasn't just another story—it had something to say. That's what made me say yes."
The actor further added, 'Tu Dhadkan Main Dil is not your typical television drama. It's subtle, emotionally textured, and deeply human," highlighting the show's unique storytelling approach.
Sourabh Raaj Jain went on to explain, 'At its heart, it's about a child wanting her parents to be together. She is yet to meet her father, and in the process, even loses her mother. Talking about his character Raghav, Sourabh mentioned, 'Raghav is not your cliché rockstar. On the outside, he's charismatic, confident—a performer who owns the stage. But inside, he's emotionally disconnected—someone who has built walls around himself after personal loss."
He found that preparing for the role required a deep understanding of the character's emotional landscape, going beyond physicality and presence to capture the profound silence that defines him.
