Jalen Green shares emotional goodbye to Rockets after trade
The massive seven-team trade headlined by the Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets was finalized on Sunday after a complex review of all the moving pieces.

With this, fast-rising guard Jalen Green is officially headed to the Suns as part of the package offered by the Rockets to land star forward Kevin Durant.
There were high hopes for the 23-year-old Green when he was drafted by Houston as the second overall pick in 2021. While he has shown what it takes to be a franchise cornerstone, especially last season, ultimately, the Rockets didn't envision him as part of their future.
Still, Green expressed his love to Houston amid his departure.
'H-Town! Thank you for everything 🖤 The support and love from day one is something I'll never forget🤞🏽 It's forever🤘🏽,' said Green on Instagram.
Fans, meanwhile, expressed their gratitude to Green for being part of the squad for four seasons.

'We gonna miss you, my boy 😎, commented a follower.
'If you can't stop them, just make them regret 🔥,' said a supporter.

Green averaged 20.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in his four years with the Rockets. He helped them return to the playoffs last season as the second seed after a three-year absence. He, however, struggled in their first-round loss to the Golden State Warriors, putting up only 13.3 points on 37.2% shooting.
His subpar showing may have made him more expendable, as Houston made a slew of moves this offseason.

In Phoenix, he is expected to form a vaunted backcourt rotation with All-Star guards Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, although the latter is rumored to being bought out and shipped.
Aside from Green, the Rockets also sent veteran forward Dillon Brooks and draft considerations to the Suns.

NEW YORK — Las Vegas star A'ja Wilson injured her right wrist on a drive to the basket Tuesday night against the New York Liberty and left the game midway through the second quarter. The three-time MVP had a quiet first half before getting hurt with 4:13 left in the period. Wilson drove down the lane and landed awkwardly. She was on the floor for a few minutes as her Aces teammates rushed over to her side. Wilson got up and walked to the Las Vegas bench to an ovation from the Barclays Center crowd. Wilson made the first of two free throws — her only point of the half. She departed with 2:22 left in the half and headed to the locker room. Reds lefty Andrew Abbott named NL All-Star, replacing Dodgers' Yamamoto
CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati Reds left-hander Andrew Abbott is an All-Star after all. Abbott, who's 7-1 with a 2.15 ERA in 15 starts, was named as a replacement Tuesday for the Los Angeles Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who's ineligible to pitch since he's scheduled to start Sunday. It's the first All-Star nod for the 26-year-old Abbott, who was informed during Tuesday night's game against the Miami Marlins and high-fived and hugged teammates in the dugout. Shortstop Elly De La Cruz is Cincinnati's other All-Star. Abbott's ERA would be the fourth best in the majors if he had pitched enough innings to qualify. A pitcher must have at least one inning pitched per games played by his team. The Reds have played 92 games and Abbott has tossed 83 2/3 innings since making his season debut on April 12 after suffering a left shoulder strain in spring training. ___
