Lidl reveals new 79p bakery treat and shoppers are obsessed

But now there's a new star in town (or on shelves) and it will only cost you 79p - plus, a popular sweet treat is making a return.
The budget-friendly supermarket has unveiled a brand-new Strawberry Cheesecake Doughnut which will be available for patisserie lovers for a limited time only.
Lidl's new 79p addition to its iconic bakery has soft, creamy, fruity icing on top and is made with sugar-dusted dough.
The Strawberry Cheesecake Doughnut is said to balance tangy strawberry notes with rich cheesecake flavour.
Customers have already taken to social media to share their thoughts with one saying 'these are quality' and are a 'bargain' compared to similar Krispy Kreme items.
Others who have discovered the fruity and "fluffy" doughnut said Lidl has 'upped its game' and the latest bakery addition is 'delicious'.

Meanwhile, bakery fanatics will see the nationwide return of Cheesecake Brownie (89p), back by popular demand.
The gooey treat has a fudgy brownie base layered with cheesecake and a chocolate drizzle.
The new bakery delights come as Lidl's limited-edition bakery goods continue to prove a hit with fans, following its latest launch, the Chocolate Brioche Croissant.
Made as a combined croissant and brioche bun with golden pastry, filled with gooey milk chocolate on the inside and piped chocolate on the outside, it was described as being 'out of this world' by fans on TikTok.

The supermarket dropped its Petit Pain to 29p, down from 32p, and the All Butter Croissant to 59p, down from 65p, among many others.
The Strawberry Cheesecake Doughnut will be available to purchase in-stores nationwide until May 28, while stocks last.

Becky Jest (@beckyjest_) took to TikTok to share how she managed to recently bag a free Bonne Maman chocolate spread (250g) that tastes 'like Ferrero Rocher in a tub'. The Bonne Maman tub is currently on sale at Tesco for £3.60. @beckyjest_ Replying to @Aman❤️ here's how to get the free Ferraro Roche chocolate spread dupe sample with your Tesco shop. You simply add the items available to your online basket, just as you would with any other products you want to buy. Becky also stated that the free items are subject to availability and you must spend a minimum of £50 for the offer to be valid. She also told her social media followers that the offers may vary depending on your location.
