Meghan Markle's cryptic birthday message cleared up amid Queen Camilla's celebrations

Meghan Markle shared a mysterious birthday message on Instagram as Queen Camilla turned 78 - but two of the Duchess of Sussex's pals have set the record straight on the post
Two of Meghan Markle's pals have set the record straight after she shared a cryptic birthday message as Queen Camilla turned 78. Taking to her Instagram stories earlier in the week, Meghan posted a video of her unboxing a crate of three bottles of w ine from her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

Alongside the video, Meghan wrote: "Sending birthday love (both near and far) to my ladies," alongside a heart emoji. At the time, it was unclear exactly who she was sending the bottles of wine to, but many speculated the message was intended for the Queen, who was marking her birthday just hours later.

Meghan is believed to have bonded with Camilla when she first joined the royal fold, with the pair sharing a love of the arts and wine - before things are said to have gone sour with their relationship.
But it transpires that the message and gifts might not have been for Camilla after all.
That's because Meghan's pals Heather Dorak and Jamie Kern Lima later shared the same gift boxes on their Instagram stories, thanking Meghan for the birthday present.

Dorak, who is a close friend of the Duchess, shared a picture of the box with a sprig of lavender, adding: "You know how to make a friend feel special @meghan".
While Jamie, who recently hosted Meghan on her podcast and recently turned 48, wrote on her Instagram: "@meghan thank you for the most magical birthday basket! Our friendship is a gift, as is your beautiful soul!"

It comes as Camilla celebrated her birthday with a new photo released of her smiling in the sunshine at her Wiltshire residence, Ray Mill House.
The image shows the Queen looking relaxed and wearing a turquoise dress in a Liberty fabric printed with a rainforest of toucans, lemurs and monkeys. Last year, Camilla was on duty on her birthday, attending the State Opening of Parliament at the King's side. This year, she is said to be spending the day privately.
The King, who is still being treated for cancer, is known to have been buoyed by his wife's support since his diagnosis last year.

The pair celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary at the start of April and have had a busy run of engagements, including hosting a state visit by the French president last week, ahead of their upcoming annual summer break to Scotland.
In the birthday portrait taken by photographer Chris Jackson earlier this month, Camilla can be seen wearing gold drop earrings, a delicate gold bracelet, as well as a gold ring composed of circular plaques on her pinky finger.
Also seen is her wedding band and her five-carat emerald-cut diamond engagement ring as she places her hands together while resting on the gate.

Alex Jones had ‘no idea' about complaints made against Jermaine Jenas

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was removed from the presenting team at BBC's Match Of The Day and The One Show following alleged issues relating to workplace conduct. Before he was sacked in August, Jenas had been a regular pundit on sports programmes and a presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live. Alex Jones attending the 2025 Bafta Television Awards with P&O Cruises at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London (Jordan Pettitt/PA) Jones, 48, who co-presented with Jenas on The One Show, told the Big Issue she did not know about the complaints until he had left. She said: 'I very much take people on face value. But with JJ [Jenas] I didn't know what was going on. 'I had no idea. I thought he was taking extended leave. 'The BBC didn't share with me what was going on until they actually dealt with it. And, you know, they did what they thought was right. 'If that was my daughter and she felt uncomfortable with someone's behaviour, I hope that whatever company she was working for would deal with it swiftly as well.' Jermaine Jenas insists he has taken responsibility for the conduct which led to his dismissal (Nigel French/PA) After being sacked from the BBC, Jenas apologised, saying he had done 'nothing illegal' and that 'inappropriate messages' sent were 'between two consenting adults'. Months later, Jenas' wife, Ellie Penfold, announced the couple had split up after 16 years together. In a statement on her Instagram story, Penfold said: 'I never imagined I would have to share something so personal with the public, but given the situation, I feel it's necessary. 'After 16 years together and 4 wonderful children, Jermaine and I have decided to part ways. 'We will remain friends and continue to co-parent.' Alex Jones and Jason Manford stand outside Western House, London, after appearing on Chris Evans's Radio 2 breakfast show (Fiona Hanson/PA) Jenas returned to broadcasting on TalkSport radio in February after the outlet distanced itself from him in the wake of his departure from the BBC. It is not the first time Jones has had a co-presenter leave The One Show with Jason Manford, who joined the programme at the same time as her in August 2010, resigning only three months into the role for sharing sexual internet messages with female fans. Despite co-presenting on the show for a few months, Jones said she is still 'really good pals' with Manford. – The full interview with Alex Jones can be read in this week's Big Issue, on sale now.
