SCOTLAND's newest golf course has officially opened, just 30 minutes south of Glasgow city centre.
A unique feature makes it one of only three of its kind in a country that already boasts some of the world's most famous golfing venues such as St Andrews, Trump Turnberry and Royal Troon.

Eastwood Twelve is situated just outside the suburban town of Newton Mearns in East Renfrewshire, using land from the eponymous estate.
Indeed it may be a name you recognise and that's because Eastwood Golf Club, an 18-hole course, was located here before closing down in May 2019.
Nine of the holes from the old course have been brought back to life here, while others have been tweaked.
This is prime golfing territory, with Eastwood occupying an area in between two other courses: Bonnyton Golf Club and East Renfrewshire Golf Club.
But what makes Eastwood Twelve unique?
Well the clue is in the name...
It has 12 holes as opposed to the usual 18 (or nine), making it one of only three 12-hole courses in Scotland (the others being Shiskine on the Isle of Arran and Gogarburn on the outskirts of Edinburgh).
Eastwood Twelve markets itself as "a quality track with all the challenge, in less time", taking into account that for many modern lifestyles, three to four hours of free time for a round of golf is unfeasible.
The club hopes to appeal to golfers who struggle to fit a full 18 into their schedules but want a greater experience than playing only nine holes.
It measures 3,246 yards in total with seven par-4s and five par-3s.
I played golf with Tiger Woods but he was a ghost behind the scenes - his romance with Vanessa Trump surprised me
The course was given the green light to reopen last year after the local council rejected an initial planning application that included a woodland retreat and six luxury houses.
Plans for a woodland retreat and a maximum of three houses are still in the works but in the meantime the focus is on the course, the clubhouse and a cafe that is still to come.
The club opened for play on Friday and posted on Instagram on the day of their grand opening.
They said: "We can't quite believe it…
"After three years of hard work, dedication, and countless hours out on the course, we're finally ready to open the doors to Eastwood 12 — Scotland's newest golf course — this weekend!
"The fairways are looking immaculate, the greens have never been better, and we can't wait to welcome golfers of all abilities to come and enjoy them.
"While our cafe won't be open just yet, we'll have a coffee van on-site over the weekend to keep you fuelled before and after your round.
"All other clubhouse facilities will be open as usual from this Friday, so please make yourself at home."
Plenty of keen golfers have already tested out the fairways for themselves despite the course being officially open for under 48 hours.
Neil Howie said: "I've been extremely excited for Eastwood Twelve to open and managed to play this evening. Fantastic course, some very challenging holes and despite the weather it was brilliant.
"The staff and owners are lovely and it was great having a chat with them."
Meanwhile Adam McInnes found the course so good that he's already signed up to become a member.
He said: "Brilliant experience, staff are lovely and make you feel very welcome at the club.
"One of the best courses I've played on."
The cost of a round starts at £27 from Monday to Thursdays, £32 on Fridays and £37 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Discounts are available for juniors, students and member's guests and if golfers want to book two rounds in one day, a reduced rate will be offered.
Full adult memberships are available for £750 per year (£68 per month) with cheaper five-day memberships and junior, student, young adult and country options also on offer.

Harvey Elliott had X-rated reaction to Germany star after England U21s Euros win

England beat Germany 3-2 after extra-time to win their second successive under-21 European Championship final and Harvey Elliott rubbed salt in their opponents' wounds Liverpool star Harvey Elliott appeared to stick two fingers up to Germany after helping England under-21s beat their old rivals to win another European Championship final. Elliott, 22, broke the deadlock after just five minutes before Ipswich's Omari Hutchinson doubled the Young Lions' lead in the first half. Germany pulled a goal back just before half-time, though, and eventually equalised on the hour mark, sending the final in Bratislava to extra-time. Lee Carsley's side quickly won back the momentum, as substitute Jonathan Rowe scored within the opeing two minutes. ‌ His goal was enough to crown England champions for the second time in three years, having also won the competition under Carsley in 2023. As the Young Lions celebrated after full-time while shaking hands with the Germany players, TV cameras zoomed in on Elliott and caught him cupping his ears and sticking two fingers up, seemingly directed at an unspecified opponent. ‌ The Liverpool midfielder had been taken off at the start of extra-time, as Arsenal wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri came on. In the 2023 final, Elliott came off the bench to help see out a victory over Spain, who England this year beat in the quarter-finals 3-1. His displays in Slovakia earned him player of the tournament, having scored a brace in the Young Lions' 2-1 semi-final win against the Netherlands on Wednesday. "Player of the tournament!" Elliott posted on Instagram. "Thank you to the team for making it happen. An absolute privilege." Elliott also told Channel 4: "It's another incredible moment. I think this one meant a lot more, especially coming off the back of winning it last time. "There's been a big expectation, big pressure but the way the lads handled it from start to finish at this tournament, I think no one deserves it more than us. "It's time to celebrate because it's been hard work; tiring with the heat, with everything that's involved. But it's party time now and we're gonna make the most of it. "It's getting me emotional. The team is one of a kind. To work with these lads each and every day for the last month or so, it's been one of the best moments of my career so far. All the lads are just top, top guys and it might be the last time I'm ever gonna play with some of them. ‌ "As you know, we're moving on now, we're too old for the competition. It's been incredible and I wish them nothing by the very best. I hope they go on to succeed at everything in life because the way they are as lads, the way they are as players, to all get to this moment and to play so well again, it's emotional but I'm so thankful for them." Should Lee Carsley have been given the England job permanently? Have your say in the comments section. ‌ It was certainly a squad game as England were made to go the distance in the final. Carsley hailed: "All the credit goes to the players. I'm really proud of them and the commitment they have shown. "They have so much belief. This squad believes that they can win. To be European champions for the second time is a great achievement, and the challenge is to do it again in two years. "Any setback that we have had, the players have got together. I didn't think we played great tonight. We sat too deep and didn't have as much control as I wanted. But we won't remember that!" But Liverpool are now in prime position and that talks between all parties will take place in the next 24 hours.

Kieran Trippier 'growing close to adult star' after collapse of his marriage

Footballer Kieran Trippier was spotted out with a mystery woman in recent weeks following months of reports his marriage was on the rocks - and now she has been identified as an OnlyFans star Kieran Trippier enjoyed a night out with an OnlyFans star before announcing his split from his wife, a report has claimed. The 34-year-old footballer, who plays for Premier League club Newcastle United as a right-back, has been married for nine years. He married partner Charlotte in Cyprus in 2016 and they went on to welcome a son named, Jacob, and two daughters, named Esme and Isla. For months, reports have raged that the couple have been in troubled waters - with headlines last year suggesting they had holidayed separately amid concerns for their marriage. ‌ Last September, there were concerns the marriage was over when Kieran was seen without his wedding ring. And two weeks ago, it was reported he had been spotted out with a mystery woman. ‌ Now the mystery has seemingly been solved, as the blonde woman he was spotted out and about with in Newcastle has been unmasked as an OnlyFans content creator named Sienna Day. A source told The Sun:"After leaving the Wafi Lounge, Kieran was in another club with Sienna and they appeared close. She is well known on the scene in Newcastle and was with him in the club for just over an hour. 'They left not long before 3am. Kieran looked very taken with Sienna.' The Mirror has approached representatives of Kieran for comment. Last week it was reported that Kieran and Charlotte had been separated for a year and are now planning to get a divorce. It was reported that the couple were keen to carry on with their lives while planning to make their divorce "as amicable as possible." Earlier this month, it was reported that Kieran had been spotted out in Newcastle partying with Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry. The England international, who has 54 caps, shared with his followers that he's moving forward after parting ways with his wife. ‌ Charlotte subsequently broke her silence on the reports of the end of their marriage, telling fans she is "fine" but not ready to talk. Taking to Instagram last week in view of her 34,300 followers, she said she had been inundated with messages of support from women and also men who had been sending their well wishes. "I just wanted to let everyone know that I am fine," she said. Charlotte added: "Obviously, I am not ready to talk about my situation. ‌ "In time I will, when I am comfortable and the time is right, also I have three young children, haven't I, so I don't want to be putting things out there for them to see. But yeah, I just wanted to let everyone know it's not that bad, and you can get through it once you make the decision. "Like, you can get through it, the sparkle does come back, I feel like I am getting my glow back again, and yeah, like, you'll get there. So, anyone that needs any motivational speech or just some general chit chat, I'm all about mental health and stuff like that, I'm letting you know you will absolutely get through, any sort of break up or anything similar to what I'm going through." Charlotte's post which has been liked over 2,800 times was soon flooded with messages of support. Former The Only Way Is Essex star Billi Mucklow penned: "Keep sparkling beautiful." One Newcastle United fan penned: "I live in the North East and I'm a huge Newcastle fan, I love Trippier on the pitch and all he's done for the team, and if I'm being honest, I didn't want to believe what I was reading on social media about him. However, I wanted to say I've followed you for a while now and what a lovely, genuine person you seem to be. Always so happy and classy. You're so pretty, he's lost a good one there!" Charlotte replied to the fan: "Thanks so much! Tripps defo does great on the pitch and so happy for you Geordies that you are doing so well! Much love to the Geordies."
