Liam Gallagher sends important Oasis set timings message to fans ahead of opening night in Cardiff

Liam Gallagher has sent a message to fans ahead of Oasis' opening night in Cardiff next week. The brothers are due to take to the stage in Cardiff's Principality Stadium next Friday (July 4) on the first top on their Live '25 reunion tour. Announced last August to feverish excitement, anticipation for the band's first gigs in 16 years has been building to a fever pitch in recent weeks. Now, with less than a week to go, Liam took to X this morning (June 28) to confirm what time the band will be taking to the stage. In a now-deleted tweet, he wrote: "OASIS on stage 8:15pm Cardiff don't be late or we'll start without you and you don't want that now do ya see ya there LG x". READ MORE: Noel or Liam - who is your favourite Gallagher brother? As the Principality Stadium has a curfew of 10:30pm, it could well be that fans are treated to a two-hour set - though some were surprised by the news. "That's a bit early Liam," wrote X user @sslideaway. "Don't blame me I do the singing and scowling," Gallagher replied. Others were amused by his apparent turn as stage manager. "You're the band scheduler now?" asked @alivedemo; "Looks like it," he replied. But he soon changed his mind on his apparent new role, responding to a fan asking about set times at Edinburgh Murrayfield: "I've been asked to share this information with you all I'm not doing this every f***ing gig I'm not the TM". For any fans worried about the weather in the Welsh capital next week, a fan guide sent out to Ticketmaster customers yesterday confirmed that the roof at the Principality Stadium will be closed. And on Friday (June 27) the band shared a new clip to their Instagram page marking one week to go until the tour kicks off. The opening bars of their 1994 debut single Supersonic play over clips of the stadium being set up - ready to welcome nearly 75,000 eager fans.

96th annual Millville Fireman's Carnival begins Friday

MILLVILLE, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Honoring local traditions, all while having fun at the carnival. A Columbia County staple is making its return for its 96th year. 28/22 News learned the history of Millville's annual event and how it supports its volunteer fire company. A polished, new fire engine sits at the Millville Community Park in Columbia County. 'We got it delivered last week, and it was put in service on Friday,' said Captain at the Millville Community Fire Company Connor Dewald. The cost of the truck, a pretty penny, totaling over half a million dollars. Replacing its last truck from 1991, fire crews say the crucial purchase was made possible by its annual Millville Fireman's Carnival. 'We have smaller fundraisers throughout the year, but this is it, so it's monumental in purchasing engines like that and the rest of our equipment,' explained Dewald. The eight-day event begins Friday, and due to the sweltering temperatures our area has seen, set up started early. 'We've been trying, it's rough but we are ahead of the game right now…like they say, many hands make easy work or less work and everybody has come together this year to get everything done,' said the president of the Millville Community Fire Company, Jon Brown. 3 displaced, firefighters brave the heat in Nanticoke fire Staples at the carnival include its caramel corn stand. 'This man who used to work here, his name was Moe, and he was just a really important part of the process that happened here, so every time we dump the caramel into the popcorn, you yell, 'Hey Moe!'' explained volunteer Hunter Lingafelt. Nearly a decade of memories and one-of-a-kind rides, like its carousel dating back to the 1930s. 'They're all hand-carved out of New York. The music box came from Tonawanda, New York, so it's not something you're going to find tomorrow,' said chairman of the Millville Fireman's Carnival, Jim Brown. All the carnival fun is at an affordable price. The train ride only costs three tickets, that's just $1.50. Running through the Fourth of July, specialty shirts are also being sold to benefit the company, and ring in the area's 125th annual parade. 'I love the sense of community and being able to talk to all of these people year after year, but it's just pure fun!' said Melody Noss, volunteer. The eight-day carnival kicks off in Millville on Friday at 6 p.m. You can purchase a 125th anniversary parade day shirt. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
