Across the grounds, Vampire Weekend brought its bright college rock to the Green Stage. And on the midway, Berklee's curated lineup on the revived Arena Stage inside the Bright-Landry Hockey Center won some new fans for artists such as the powerhouse singer Aniyé, who bills herself as 'Ya Favorite Soul Sister.'
Copilot, an exuberant group of friends who came together from various other college-era musical projects, anchored the day's lineup of local bands on the Orange Stage. Their soulful trio of lead vocalists (Maggie Hall, Ry McDonald, Jake Machell) combined to build an overall vibe like a millennial version of Delaney & Bonnie.

Before them, Nate Perry & Ragged Company previewed a busy summer with their sure-footed roots rock, while the all-female band Vivid Bloom beguiled with a heavy, effects-laden brand of shoegaze.

'The sun will come out again,' he said.
In fact, the sun did make a fleeting appearance, aptly during a set from the Florida-based beach-party band the 502s. Their relentless zeal, epitomized by their song 'Something's Gonna Go Our Way,' felt like a tipsy detour into Margaritaville.

Combined with Goth Babe's upbeat set on the Green Stage — which wrapped with main man Griff Washburn tossing inflatable promo rafts (Pop-Tarts, Cheez-Its) to an enthusiastic fan base — it seemed, for a moment there, as though spring break had broken out.
Morello, accompanied by his current electric band, brought the crowd back to reality with an hour-long set that was calculated to tick off the White House.
'Welcome, brothers and sisters, to the last big event before they throw us all in jail,' he said from beneath the bill of his black Malcolm X hat (those '90s again).

Beginning with 'Testify,' Rage's wrecking-ball anthems got plenty of air time in the form of multiple instrumental medleys. Morello played a searing slow blues, paid tribute to the late Chris Cornell (his band mate in Audioslave), and covered his friend Bruce Springsteen's 'The Ghost of Tom Joad.' He brandished his guitar like a rifle and brought on Chuck D for a cameo. His drummer paid tribute to Boston, wearing a Modern Lovers T-shirt.
'We learned an old college fight song for the occasion,' Morello said when he was almost done. 'Killing in the Name,' from Rage's 1992 debut, is a song about police brutality with an all-purpose refrain about refusing to obey. The mob bounced up and down, middle fingers raised.

Matthews's headlining set was not without social commentary — 'We should stop calling them leaders and start calling them 'misleaders,'' he said. But his 110 minutes onstage were dominated by his veteran band's proficiency and his own bittersweet lyrical theme, which amounts to 'Let's live life to the fullest, because we're all gonna die.'
'Tripping Billies' and 'What Would You Say' certainly fit the bill. 'Madman's Eyes' made a statement inside the fatefulness: the song is about mass shootings.
Alongside their own material, Matthews and his band offered their time-tested version of Bob Dylan's 'All Along the Watchtower' and a fun showcase for sideman Rashawn Ross on Cameo's party song 'Word Up!'
'Did we have a good time or what?' Ross chanted, deadpan. At least we could say we gave it the old college try.

South Florida local wins 44th annual Ernest Hemingway look-alike contest in Key West

Perseverance, a lucky sweater, and an uncanny resemblance to one of the world's most iconic authors. That was the winning formula that helped a 69-year-old man from Key West, Florida, win the Hemingway Look-Alike Contest title this weekend in the Southernmost City in the U.S. A Key West local, Tim Stockwell, captured the coveted title, beating out more than a hundred contestants to make the top 5. And it was in that final round that he offered a compelling story as to why he deserved to be "Papa 2025." His lucky charm? A thick wool sweater, like the one Hemingway wore, which he bravely donned in the sweltering July heat. "This sweater has been worn by seven other previous winners and I'm very grateful and glad to be able to call it the eighth," said Stockwell, who moved to the island from Michigan in 2019 and has participated in the event ever since. This year's contest took place over three nights, starting with 131 contestants, then 24 semi-finalists, and finally the top 5. The location? Sloppy Joe's Bar — a frequent hangout for Hemingway when he lived and wrote in Key West during the 1930s. The contest featured three younger look-alikes, including six-year-old Keefer Haynie from Baton Rouge. The whimsical tribute is all part of the annual Hemingway Days Festival that honors the enduring legacy and literary mastery of the author who wrote "For Whom the Bell Tolls," "To Have and Have Not" and other classics during his Key West years. During his plea to judges, Stockwell recounted his favorite story about the iconic author that showcased the author's softer side. He shared that Hemingway formed a baseball team of Cuban youngsters called "Gigi's Stars" and provided a group of boys — including his own sons — with a field on his property. He also gave them new uniforms, bats, balls, and gloves, pitched for both teams, and never kept score. "The way he taught those young men to become young men, how to play fair, how to be honest, how to be straightforward…he taught those kids how to live a life well-lived, and they benefited from his generosity and his kindness," he recalled. Stockwell is the latest ambassador for the bearded brotherhood known as "The Hemingway Look-Alike Society," an organization that combines camaraderie and scholarships to support Florida Keys college students. "He broke all the barriers for those kids," said Stockwell. "They had a great opportunity. I'd like to continue that. And that's why I'm proud to call these guys my brothers."

Kpop Demon Hunters has been a delightful surprise of 2025. It's a funny, catchy, and well-crafted story. One thing that sets it apart from other family musical films is the unique K-pop soundtrack, which is filled with bangers. Would you be interested in songs similar to the Demon Hunters soundtrack that are from real K-pop groups? Here are some K-Pop songs that have similar vibes to the Kpop: Demon Hunters soundtrack: Song comps for the Huntrix introduction song "How It's Done": BLACKPINK — "뚜두뚜두 (DDU-DU DDU-DU)" The "Done. Done. Done." in the Huntrix song is very similar, so this might be your cup of tea. Oh, yeah. BTW, if Psy's "Gangnam Style" didn't exist, this would be the most-watched K-pop music video on YouTube (more than 2B views and counting). Watch the "뚜두뚜두 (DDU-DU DDU-DU)" music video here: ITZY — "Born to Be" Itzy was one of the groups Director Maggie Kang admitted was an inspiration for Huntrix (including BLACKPINK and TWICE). You could pick a ton of Itzy songs for this ("Sorry, Not Sorry" was a great option), but "Born to Be" feels like the perfect concert or movie intro song. If we get a KPDH 2, a Huntrix dance break would likely elicit an unhinged reaction from the fans. Watch the "Girls" music video here: Song comps for the Huntrix release "Golden": IVE – "I Am" This was the easiest one on the whole list. The second "Golden" started, it gave off big "I Am" vibes. From the planes to the way the music videos are shot, you will become addicted to this song if you enjoy "Golden." Watch the "I Am" music video here: IVE – "Rebel Heart" I HATE to double dip, but I truly believe IVE was a massive inspiration for "Golden." It'd be cool to see the entire group get a chance to cover it, because it really matches their whole concept. Watch the "Rebel Heart" music video here: ITZY — "달라달라(DALLA DALLA)" ITZY's debut song has all the same self-love vibes as "Golden." A little more upbeat, but the themes are all still there. Watch the "DALLA DALLA" music video here: Song comps for the Saja Boys's debut song "Soda Pop": ASTRO — "Candy Sugar Pop" I mean, this is REALLY close. The Soda Pop/Sugar Pop vibes are totally there. Bubbly and bouncy, your shoulders will be bouncing whether you like it or not. Watch the music video for "Candy Sugar Pop" here: SEVENTEEN — "어쩌나 (Oh My!)" My lack of knowledge about boy bands is showing, but I feel comfortable with this comparison. It feels like all boy bands either have "bubbly" or "bad boys" as broad concepts. Watch the music video for "어쩌나 (Oh My!)" here: TWICE — "One Spark" It isn't even their bubbliest song, but there's something there. It's hard to explain. Maybe I'm not bubbly enough for the proper comparison, but the build-up felt very similar to "Soda Pop." Watch the music video for "One Spark" here: Song comps for the Huntrix diss track "Takedown": BLACKPINK — "Kill This Love" The attitude is there and although the themes of the song don't perfectly align, you'll love the iconic horns in this song. Not a perfect comparison, but your area. Watch the music video for "Kill This Love" here: NMIXX — "Dice" This song has a very unique sound compared to many K-pop songs, particularly for NMIXX. I think it has a similar "speed" to "Takedown." Watch the music video for "Dice" here: i-dle — "Nxde" It's tough finding something close to a diss track in K-pop, but "Nxde" has the closest feeling. Like many of their songs, very catchy, with the good kind of attitude problem. Watch the music video for "Nxde" here: Here are some comps for Rumi and Jinu's duet "Free": BTS — "Butterfly" Boy band. Love song vibes. This one feels the closest. Watch the performance for "Butterfly" here: ITZY — "BET ON ME" Focusing on the more self-love elements of "Free," I think "BET ON ME" is an excellent comparison. Beautiful lyrics, and the tempo is a little faster than "Free" but still hits the mark. Watch the music video for "BET ON ME" here: BONUS: "Luther" by Kendrick Lamar, SZA Not a K-pop song, but when I first listened to "Free," I thought it sounded very similar to "Luther." Again, not K-pop, but I think you'd enjoy it if you liked "Free."Watch the music video for "Luther" here. Here are some comps for the Saja Boys' final song "Your Idol": ENHYPHEN — "Bite Me" Boy band begging to be bitten. Where are those demon flames? This song is catchy like "Your Idol" and the concept feels in the same not still that attempt to be alluring. Watch the music video for "Bite Me" here: ATEEZ — "Deja Vu" We're going with both sound and aesthetic for this one. I wouldn't be shocked to hear that ATEEZ had a little bit of influence on the Saja Boys, but trade out demon fire for rain in the music video. Watch the music video for "Deja Vu" here: TXT — "Deja Vu" Although themes are the complete opposite, I feel like this song is the "light side" version of the "dark side" of "Your Idol." Watch the music video for "Deja Vu" here: Here are some comps for the Huntrix song "What It Sounds Like": IVE — "All Night (feat. Saweetie)" The "We could do this all night" part is almost identical to the "This is what it sounds like." It's the perfect comp. Watch the music video for "All Night" here: ITZY — "Wannabe" Although the Huntrix song styles resemble those of BLACKPINK and TWICE, I'd argue that their concept is closer to ITZY. See how well I behaved as a fan? I kept ITZY mentions to a minimum and didn't even mention their latest comeback, "Girls Will Be Girls." *sneaks away* Watch the music video for "Wannabe" here: And lastly, it took some real digging to find the perfect comp, but here's a comp for the featured the TWICE song "Strategy" (hehe): TWICE — "Strategy (feat.
