It added volunteers across the island participated in the project, led by Megs Bailey, and bunting would be crafted to stretch across St Peter Port seafront for 9 May.
The Harley-Davidson WLA earned the nickname Liberator in Europe as it was often seen during the liberation of occupied territories.
The Cushman Airborne Scooter was known as the Model 53 and was designed to be airdropped by parachute or carried by glider to support Allied paratroopers.
Paul Bourgaize, from the Guernsey Military Vehicle Group, said the group had been delighted to be able to work with the States of Guernsey to create the themed display in the airport terminal.
The group is working to create the largest display of military vehicles seen in the island to mark Liberation Day.
Steve Langlois, head of passenger operations and aviation security at Guernsey Ports, said: "We know how important and poignant this anniversary is to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, and we want to ensure that everyone travelling by air has the opportunity to be reminded of this special celebration and what it means to islanders."

Summer is here. The international tourists are not. Why the US is losing billions in visitor revenue.

Advertisement Predictions about tourism losses in the United States began shortly after Trump took office. But now that we've arrived in the thick of summer, a time when international tourism should be hitting its peak, those predictions have become reality. Airlines are Get Starting Point A guide through the most important stories of the morning, delivered Monday through Friday. 'Domestic travel has remained consistent, but the international travelers are not coming to the US this year. It's off 20 percent in some markets. The biggest declines have been from Canadian and Mexican travelers. Western Europeans are also going elsewhere.' Advertisement New research published last week from 'Factors contributing to the negative outlook include Trump administration posturing and policy announcements, such as 'Liberation Day' tariffs across long-standing trade partners,' Aran Ryan, director of industry studies, concluded. 'Media coverage of border security incidents and national travel advisories also pose risks.' Multiple countries have issued travel advisories in recent months. Australia updated its advisory last month, citing gun violence and unpredictable immigration enforcement in the United States. Germany, France, Denmark, and Finland all issued warnings about new US gender policies that may affect travelers who use nonbinary identifiers in their passports. The UK's Foreign Office is warning travelers to the United States that minor entry mistakes could lead to detention or deportation. Old Orchard Beach in Maine was quiet the weekend before the Fourth of July. The author didn't see a single Quebec license plate during his visit, which is highly unusual in the summer. At In addition to the warnings, fees to enter the country for international visitors are rising. The Electronic System for Travel Authorization fee is rising from $21 to $40. The 'These fees are not reinvested in improving the travel experience and do nothing but discourage visitation at a time when foreign travelers are already concerned about the welcome experience and high prices,' Geoff Freeman, president of the US Travel Association, said in a All of these factors have made the United States a less appealing place for international tourists to spend their vacation dollars. Christopher Muther/Globe Staff New Englanders don't need an industry survey to see that those numbers are down. A quick drive through Old Orchard Beach, where French becomes the unofficial second language each summer, shows a distinct lack of license plates from Quebec in hotel parking lots. Wright, of Jay Peak, said he spent two weeks calling nearly 100 long-time Canadian customers who purchased season passes last year but haven't yet this year. 'They cite the present administration's flagrant disrespect of Canadian independence as not only a challenge to Canadian sovereignty, but to their own identity, and they feel the need to respond,' Wright said. The World Travel and Tourism Council estimates the loss of international tourism to the US economy at $12.5 billion. 'This is a wake-up call for the US government,' said Julia Simpson, president and CEO of the council. 'The world's biggest travel and tourism economy is heading in the wrong direction. . . . While other nations are rolling out the welcome mat, the US government is putting up the 'closed' sign.' Josh Brown Pitches ‘Potential Breakout' Stock

Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc (NYSE:HLT) is one of the . Josh Brown, CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management, recently talked about hotels and resorts company Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc (NYSE:HLT) during a program on CNBC and called it a breakout stock. Here is how Brown made the case of the stock that's up 12% so far this year. 'This is a potential breakout. It's not quite in progress, but it's getting very close. And I thought I'd spotlight this. Basically, we saw a golden cross happen as the stock climbed out of its Liberation Day lows. Hilton was in a 24% drawdown. Now, it's back to within 4% of 52-week highs. Got that 50-day crossing back over the 200-day. Look, the sector itself — leisure, lodging, travel, service industries in the S&P — every single name, with one exception, is above its 50-day. The sector is just absolutely on fire. We talked about the cruise lines the other day, and Hilton should follow through here. Full-year guidance looked great, and that's why the stock's working. So, I think the 270s is where traders want to watch for that trigger. If it can get through the 270s on convincing volume, I think it's a pretty good setup.' ‘A privilege, not a right': Trump administration puts green card holders on notice

Are you traveling abroad with a green card as a guarantee of your re-entry into the United States? Customs and Border Protection (CBP) warns that you may experience difficulty entering under certain circumstances. The Trump Administration's new immigration policies include stricter screening of those entering the country through any port of entry, including those with legal permanent resident status. The CBP published a strongly-worded message on social media Tuesday detailing the current conditions for green card holders returning to the United States. 'Having a criminal record does not make you an honorable legal permanent resident. Possessing a green card is a privilege, not a right,' warns the CBP post. The agency notes that the United States government, 'under the laws of our nation,' has the authority to revoke green cards if laws are violated or abused. 'In addition to immigration removal proceedings, lawful permanent residents who present themselves at a U.S. port of entry with prior criminal convictions may be subject to mandatory detention,' the notice states. The warning is similar to previous messages directed at visa holders, in which federal agencies emphasize that immigration benefits can be revoked, which could lead to deportation. Under the Trump administration, foreigners have been deported even for minor offenses such as driving under the influence (DWI), according to official reports. This informational offensive by the administration includes various federal agencies, including the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), which has also issued statements about stricter rules for granting immigration benefits, including permanent residency. The warnings also extend to international travelers entering through the Visa Waiver Program with ESTA electronic authorization, who could also face penalties if they violate the program's conditions.
