
Descon secures engineering services contract for Tasnee projects
This is the group's first major contract win in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said Descon in a statement.
As per the deal, it will provide basic engineering, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design services to support Tasnee's key projects in the kingdom over the next three years.

AUS students expand access to internships
Following the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the American University of Sharjah (AUS) and Ghaf Labs-FZCO (Ghaf Labs), a Dubai-based blockchain advisory and consultancy firm, AUS students will gain expanded access to internships, research collaborations, field visits and knowledge-sharing opportunities in emerging technical fields. Under the agreement, Ghaf Labs will offer internship opportunities that align with students' academic and professional goals. The collaboration also includes joint supervision of selected capstone and research projects whenever feasible, cooperation on research and development initiatives, expert-led sessions and organised visits to industry settings. CBUAE imposes financial sanctions of $1.1mln on three exchange houses
he Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) imposed varying financial sanctions amounting to AED4,100,000 on three exchange houses, pursuant to Article (14) of the Federal Decree Law No. (20) of 2018 on Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Illegal Organisations and its amendments. The financial sanction has been imposed after assessing the findings of examination conducted by the CBUAE, which revealed that the three exchange houses failed to comply with AML/CFT policies and procedures. The CBUAE, through its supervisory and regulatory mandates, endeavours to ensure that all exchange houses, their owners, and staff abide by the UAE laws, regulations and standards established by the CBUAE to maintain transparency and integrity of the financial transactions and safeguard the UAE financial system.

Emirates Driving Company to acquire 22.5% stake in Mwasalat Holding
Emirates Driving Company (EDC), a subsidiary of Multiply Group, has agreed to acquire a 22.5 per cent stake in Mwasalat Holdings, the Abu Dhabi company that operates a diverse fleet spanning public buses, taxis, school transport and corporate hire vehicles.
