NetApp Bags 2025 SE Labs Award For Enterprise Data Protection
NetApp has announced that it was recognized as a standout performer in cybersecurity in the SE LABS Awards 2025. NetApp won the 2025 SE Labs Award for Enterprise Data Protection, validating NetApp's status as the most secure storage on the planet. This recognition as a winner of a 2025 SE Labs Award is a result of NetApp's exceptional innovation in cyber resiliency to deliver NetApp ONTAP® Autonomous Ransomware Protection with Artificial Intelligence (ARP/AI), which was tested and validated by SE Labs. NetApp ARP/AI demonstrated 99 percent detection of tested, advanced full-file encryption ransomware attacks with zero false positives, indicating a strong ability to operate in a business context without contributing to alert fatigue. 'Great security doesn't just happen—it's built, tested and proven,' says Simon Edwards, Founder and CEO of SE Labs. 'Behind every high performing security product is a team committed to excellence. We believe that we should celebrate the technologies and teams pushing the boundaries in protection and resilience against cyberattacks. The standard of competition for the top place in each category has been very high this year and all of our winners are to be congratulated.' Now in its seventh year, the SE Labs Awards recognize those security vendors that deliver the very best in their field and are making a real difference in keeping systems secure. Judged based on a combination of continual public testing, private assessments, and feedback from SE Labs' corporate clients, these are the products setting the benchmarks for the rest of the cyber security industry. 'Winning the 2025 SE Labs Award for Enterprise Data Protection highlights NetApp's commitment to providing the most secure storage on the planet. With ARP/AI, NetApp is the first and only storage vendor with built-in, real-time AI-powered ransomware detection in primary storage for file workloads,' said Gagan Gulati, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Data Services at NetApp. 'Keeping data and their businesses safe is a top concern for companies everywhere, with discussions about the disruption of ransomware attacks rising all the way to the boardroom. To combat the relentless threat of targeted, automated and destructive cyberattacks, companies need an intelligent data infrastructure with built-in cyber resilience.' Since the release of ARP/AI, NetApp has continued to build and innovate its cyber resiliency solutions, announcing advanced capabilities to orchestrate protection of critical workloads in native cloud environments and the upcoming enhancements for ARP/AI to protect block storage workloads.

Huawei Named Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant 2025
Home » Emerging technologies » Networking » Huawei Named Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant 2025 Huawei announced that it has been named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Enterprise Wired and Wireless LAN Infrastructure. This marks the third consecutive year Huawei has earned this recognition. Huawei remains the only non-North American vendor positioned in the Leaders Quadrant, the company reported. The announcement highlights Huawei's commitment to innovation and customer-centric network solutions. Huawei emphasized its strong product capabilities, global service support, and rapid market responsiveness as key factors behind the recognition. In addition, Huawei revealed its ongoing efforts to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into campus networks. These upgrades enhance wireless, security, application, and operations and maintenance (O&M) experiences. The company stated that these advancements support experience-centric 10 Gbps wired and wireless networks. This supports emerging use cases such as smart campuses, mobile finance, and digital healthcare. Huawei introduced the industry's first 5-radio Wi-Fi 7 access point (AP) in 2025. The company reported that this product strengthens its leadership in next-generation Wi-Fi. Technologies like intelligent digital pre-distortion (DPD) and intelligent Coordinated Scheduling and Spatial Reuse (iCSSR) bring Wi-Fi 8 innovations into Wi-Fi 7 APs. Huawei also integrated Wi-Fi, IoT, and sensing for blind-spot-free campus awareness, reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) by 50%. Huawei further enhanced its Wi-Fi Shield portfolio, now supported by 13 AP models. These models are suited for indoor, outdoor, IoT, and high-density environments. The company reported innovations such as secure terminal access, fine-grained policy control, and Wi-Fi channel state information (CSI) sensing. Together, these form a robust zero-trust network architecture, addressing evolving security needs. Moreover, Huawei revealed its focus on application experience upgrades. Technologies like iSAC (intelligent application identification), iScheduler (all-flow scheduling), and iFlow (all-flow analysis) ensure uninterrupted performance for key applications. Huawei's VIP FastPass and per-packet power control technologies deliver optimal experiences for high-priority services. Huawei also upgraded its O&M experience through AI Networking capabilities. Its 'One Map, One Brain' architecture features a network digital map and AI agent NetMaster. This enables real-time application-level journey playback and minute-level fault locating. Huawei reported that automated resolution covers 80% of wireless faults. This allows a single operator to manage a campus with over 10,000 users efficiently. Looking ahead, Huawei will continue innovating around customer needs. The company plans to advance AI-powered campus network deployments. Huawei also aims to collaborate with ecosystem partners to build 'AI Campus' solutions. These efforts will enhance network experiences and operational efficiency in the AI era. Key points: Huawei leads Gartner Magic Quadrant 2025 for wired and wireless LAN. Launched first 5-radio Wi-Fi 7 AP with Wi-Fi 8 tech integration. Enhanced AI-driven O&M with automated fault resolution and zero-trust security. Image Source: Bloomberg
