Fever Announce Caitlin Clark's Status For 'Stranger Things' Game vs. Aces
The Indiana Fever are once again partnering with the hit show "Stranger Things" on themed uniforms for Thursday night's game vs. the Las Vegas Aces. But the biggest question is will Caitlin Clark even get to wear them?
As the 23-year-old superstar continues to nurse the groin injury that kept her out of this year's All-Star festivities, it sounds like her absence from the Fever lineup is going to continue for at least another game.
"No surprise, but Caitlin Clark (right groin) is officially ruled out for Thursday vs Aces," Indiana beat writer Scott Agness reported. Adding, "The team didn't practice today, but held film + treatment."
The Fever first debuted the special edition uniforms referencing the Hawkins, IN-based sci-fi thriller back in 2021 and they've quickly become a favorite among fans.
"This jersey represents the fierce spirit of our team and the fearless energy of Stranger Things – two forces that never back down," the team said in a statement. "As we celebrate our team and the cultural phenomenon that is Stranger Things, we're thrilled to bring back this awesome collaboration with Netflix."
Indiana will reintroduce the jerseys for the first time this week before bringing them out again:
July 30 vs. Phoenix
August 9 vs. Chicago
August 12 vs. Dallas
August 26 vs. Seattle
August 29 at Los Angeles
September 9 vs. Minnesota

Twins lose third consecutive series after 7-2 loss to Nationals
CJ Abrams hit a leadoff homer, stole three bases and scored three runs as the Washington Nationals beat the Minnesota Twins 7-2 on Sunday. Nationals starter Jake Irvin (8-5), a Twin Cities native pitching at Target Field for the first time, gave up two runs on five hits over seven innings. Josh Bell went 3 for 4 with an RBI. Matt Wallner homered and Harrison Bader had two hits for Minnesota, which has lost six of nine since the All-Star break. Daylen Lile tripled and scored on Paul DeJong's sacrifice fly in the fourth to put the Nationals on top 3-2. Washington broke it open with four runs in the fifth off Travis Adams (1-1), keyed by Alex Call's two-run single. Abrams hit the first pitch of the game from Twins opener Cole Sands for his 14th home run of the season. After the Twins tied it on Wallner's second-inning homer, Abrams manufactured a run for the Nationals. He led off the third inning with a single, stole second and third and scored on Luis García Jr.'s sacrifice fly. Minnesota tied it again on Trevor Larnach's sacrifice fly in the bottom half. Leading 4-2, the Nationals loaded the bases with one out in the fifth. Call hit a grounder up the middle that second baseman Brooks Lee was ready to turn into an inning-ending double play. Instead, the ball skipped off the side of the mound and caromed over Lee's head for a two-run single. Abrams has five leadoff homers this year and 12 in 470 career games. Simeon Woods Richardson (5-4, 4.14 ERA) will take the mound for the Twins on Monday as they open a three-game series against visiting Boston. The Nationals travel to Houston, where Brad Lord (2-5, 3.39) will start on Monday.

His efficiency sank below the floor for a center. He couldn't buy an outside bucket. Now, with an offseason removed from his hip fracture, the Thunder hope Holmgren can return to the star trajectory he was on. The seven-footer posted on social media some of his offseason workouts. In the quick video, you can see him work on his handle and finish through contact. While Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams received all the flowers for being 20-plus point scorers, Holmgren is not too far behind. Only injuries have limited his ascension. If he can have a healthy fourth season, he can show why those who doubted his contract extension were foolish to do so.
