Linda Yaccarino Steps Down as CEO of X After Two Years
You're reading Entrepreneur India, an international franchise of Entrepreneur Media.
Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X (formerly Twitter), has officially announced her resignation after serving two transformative years at the social media company.
A former NBCUniversal advertising executive, Yaccarino was appointed in June 2023, shortly after Elon Musk acquired the platform in a USD 44 billion deal.
"After two incredible years, I've decided to step down as CEO of X," Yaccarino wrote in a statement posted on the platform. "When Elon Musk and I first spoke of his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to carry out the extraordinary mission of this company."
During her tenure, Yaccarino was credited with rebuilding advertiser trust, bolstering safety measures (particularly for younger users) and launching features like Community Notes. She also teased the upcoming financial tool, X Money, as part of her legacy.
"X is truly a digital town square for all voices and the world's most powerful culture signal," she said. "We couldn't have achieved that without the support of our users, business partners, and the most innovative team in the world."
Her resignation comes amid controversy over the platform's AI chatbot, Grok, which recently surfaced antisemitic content, raising questions about content moderation. It also follows Musk's strategic shift in March, when ownership of X was transferred to his AI company, xAI, deepening uncertainty about Yaccarino's role.
Elon Musk offered a brief response to her departure: "Thank you for your contributions."
As X prepares for its next phase under tighter integration with xAI, Yaccarino's exit marks the end of a defining chapter for the platform and the beginning of yet another. "I'll be cheering you all on as you continue to change the world," she said. "As always, I'll see you on X."

Electrolux Group Interim report Q2 2025
STOCKHOLM, July 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Highlights of the second quarter of 2025 Net sales amounted to SEK 31,276m (33,819) with an organic sales growth of 1.8% (6.8), driven by growth in North America and Latin America, partly offset by a slight decline in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle-East and Africa. Operating income improved to SEK 797m (419) corresponding to an operating margin of 2.5% (1.2), driven mainly by an improvement in North America that reported a positive operating income in the quarter. Group operating income included a positive effect from the divestment of the Kelvinator trademark portfolio in India of SEK 180m. Income for the period amounted to SEK 178m (-80) and earnings per share were SEK 0.66 (-0.30). Operating cash flow after investments was SEK -741m (1,226), negatively impacted by an increase in working capital and the payment of the previously communicated French antitrust fine. President and CEO Yannick Fierling's comment Market outperformance in North America, amid uncertain market conditions Organic sales growth was slightly positive in the quarter at 1.8%, driven by North America and Latin America. Business area Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa reported a slight organic sales decline, with a negative price development. In Europe, our main brands continued to outperform the market, whereas the general market demand declined somewhat with increased competitive pressure, and replacement driven demand. In North America, market demand declined slightly in the quarter, and we continued to outperform the market. In both Europe and North America, consumers continue to shift to lower price points and demand was impacted by uncertainty due to ongoing geopolitical developments. In Latin America, consumer demand increased slightly. As anticipated, in Brazil, growth was hampered by inflationary pressure and increased interest rates. Business area Latin America reported slight organic sales growth. Improved operating earnings with positive contribution from North America Operating margin improved, with a positive contribution from North America where list price increases offset increased costs related to U.S. tariffs introduced in the quarter. The competitive pressure and promotional activity were high in the quarter. Latin America continued to deliver an operating margin above our Group mid-term target of 6%. In Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa, the underlying operating income was lower mainly due to a negative price development. Operating cash flow was negative, impacted by a seasonal increase in working capital, a negative impact related to U.S. tariffs and a payment of the earlier announced French antitrust fine. Our market and business outlook for the year remains unchanged, and we reiterate our aim to offset tariff-related cost increases in North America through price increases. Looking ahead, consumer centricity and transformation in focus In the quarter, we executed well on our long-term strategic priorities. We continued our journey to strengthen our brands, with new marketing campaigns to support recently launched innovations. In the U.S. we are currently launching new Frigidaire ovens with stone-baked pizza mode. North America has been a focus point for improvements, and in the quarter, the business area reported a positive operating income. We continued to make good progress on cost-efficiency measures, delivering cost savings from procurement as well as product engineering. Maintaining a consumer-centric approach, as well as increasing speed and agility, are key components of our strategy. In the coming quarter, we will increase our focus on the major transformation areas and to drive speed and agility. The second quarter results demonstrate our commitment to deliver on our strategic priorities amid challenging market conditions. Indian Apple reseller Ample to grow revenue by a third as it expands presence, portfolio, CEO says
By Praveen Paramasivam (Reuters) -Indian Apple reseller Ample is banking on store expansion and adding more brands and clients to achieve 35% revenue growth in fiscal year 2026, its chief executive said. The Bengaluru-based firm, which supplies tech products such as Apple computers to over 1,500 clients including SAP, Broadcom, Infosys, and Wipro, operates more than 120 stores across India. Nearly 50 of these sell Apple products, while others showcase brands like Under Armour and ASICS. The firm plans to expand its footprint to approximately 175 stores across brands within three years, Ample founder and CEO Rajesh Narang said on Monday, though he declined to specify a target for Apple-only stores. Ample's revenue stood at 17 billion rupees ($197.33 million) for the fiscal year ended March 31. The company is focusing on partnerships with global capability centers, hubs that manage operations, finance, and research for large multinational firms, to drive growth, Narang added. Apple, which reported nearly $8 billion in sales in India for the year through March 2024, operates its own stores in New Delhi and Mumbai. Other resellers in the market include Aptronix and iPlanet. While Apple also plans to expand its presence in India, Narang said that would benefit partners like Ample, as the market tends to grow with the brand's presence. The firm plans to list on stock exchanges within five years to fund its growth strategy. "With our growth ambition, there will be a need for capital," Narang said.
