Ozzy Osbourne's autobiography to be published ‘uncensored' months after his death with foreword from wife Sharon

Sharon is rumoured to be writing the book's foreword LAST RITES Ozzy Osbourne's autobiography to be published 'uncensored' months after his death with foreword from wife Sharon Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) OZZY Osbourne's warts-and-all autobiography will be published 'uncensored' after his death aged 76 - with a foreword from his wife Sharon. His Last Rites book, finished just before he passed away, will recount his relationship with hairstylist Michelle Pugh, which spanned from 2012 to 2016 and drove his wife Sharon to nearly kill herself. She bravely revealed she attempted to end her life after learning the full extent of the affair. "I took, I don't know how many pills," she said. "I just thought, 'My kids are older, they are fine and can take care of themselves.'" A publishing source said yesterday: 'This book was basically Ozzy's last confessions and contains a lot of passages about how he is sorry for the affair. 'As he was always brutally honest during his life, it's been decided not a word will be changed, even about painful times in his life and how his affair affected Sharon.' The insider added it is 'early days' in terms of Sharon's grief, but she will be asked to write a foreword to the book. They said: 'Sharon is made of stern stuff and the publishers know she will want to leave her fingerprint on this book. Writing its foreword will also be cathartic for her and act as a way of laying Ozzy to rest.' Another source said the book contains Ozzy's epitaph. He had joked before his death that he wanted four words carved on his gravestone: 'Bats taste like s***.' But an insider said: 'This was just a joke and Ozzy wanted something a lot more profound on his gravestone. 'This book will reveal it.' Last Rites already has a cover, showing Ozzy holding his hands in a prayer-style gesture to his face. Watch touching moment Ozzy Osbourne says his final words to adoring fans just weeks before rock legend died A blurb for the upcoming book, set to be published in October, says: 'Last Rites is the shocking, bitterly hilarious, never-before-told story of Ozzy's descent into hell. 'Along the way, he reflects on his extraordinary life and career, including his marriage to wife Sharon, alongside his reflections on what it took for him to get back onstage for the triumphant Back to the Beginning concert, streamed around the world, where Ozzy reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates for the final time. 'Unflinching, brutally honest, but surprisingly life-affirming, Last Rites demonstrates once again why Ozzy has transcended his status as 'The Godfather of Metal' and 'The Prince of Darkness' to become a modern-day folk hero and national treasure.' One excerpt from the autobiography features Ozzy saying: 'People say to me, if you could do it all again, knowing what you know now, would you change anything? I'm like, f*** no. If I'd been clean and sober, I wouldn't be Ozzy. If I'd done normal, sensible things, I wouldn't be Ozzy. 'Look, if it ends tomorrow, I can't complain. I've been all around the world. Seen a lot of things. I've done good... and I've done bad. 'But right now, I'm not ready to go anywhere.' 5 The book will detail his affair with hairdresser Michelle Pugh, and the impact it had on his marriage Credit: Getty - Contributor

World's best holiday cities revealed and three of them are only two hours from the UK

Plus, here's what Deputy Travel Editor Kara Godfrey thought when she visited one CITIES OF DREAMS World's best holiday cities revealed and three of them are only two hours from the UK Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THREE of the world's best cities are just a few hours away from the UK, offering sun and beautiful sights. Florence, Seville and Porto all won big at the Travel + Leisure Awards 2025 - and you can get to all three of them in just over two hours from the UK. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 7 Florence came in a number 11 when it comes to the world's best cities Credit: Alamy 7 The Ponte Vecchio in Florence has beautiful views and is great for a picture Credit: Getty Travel + Leisure readers voted for their favourite worldwide cities, and Florence came in at number 11 with a reader score of 90.08 out of 100. Voters praised the capital of Tuscany for its shopping, quality of hotels as well as artistic treasures. There was an honourable mention of the Ponte Vecchio for its incredible views. Florence is considered a romantic city, full of beautiful architecture like the Duomo cathedral, which has its own piazza. It's the ideal destination for art lovers too as its home to work by Michelangelo, Botticelli and Leonardo da Vinci. Just because it's a hub of culture, doesn't mean that it's necessarily costly. In fact in Florence you can pick up slices for pizza for €1.50 (£1.30) and pasta dishes from €5 (£4.33). Florence is 80 miles inland, but you could still be at the beach in an hour and a half. Or even head over to Pisa which is an hour and a half by both car and rail. One Sun Travel writer travelled to Florence where she tried olive oil tasting, and checked out the famous sites. You can fly directly from London Gatwick to Florence in two hours 25 minutes. It was described as offering a "window on thousands of years of history" with its best site being Alcázar Palace. The Spanish city is famous for its Cathedral and Plaza de España. It's also famous for tapas, Seville orange trees and the traditional art of flamenco - if you're lucky, you'll catch some dancers in the street. Deputy Travel Editor Kara Godfrey visited the city earlier this year - and ventured out on a secret food tour in the southern district of Triana. For anyone wanting to visit Seville Cathedral, Kara discovered 100 free tickets are given out at a certain time of day. You can fly directly from London Gatwick to Seville in two hours 40 minutes. 7 Porto has plenty to offer and it's two hours and 20 minutes away from the UK Credit: Alamy 7 The city is famous for it's port production Credit: Getty Porto, in the northwest of Portugal, is little but packs a punch. The colourful city came in 24th place on the list of Top 25 best cities - and was awarded a reader score of 88.24. Porto is filled with restaurants and bars and, of course, is known for its port wine production. Readers of Travel + Leisure said they love the city because of it's "wine-soaked culture". Porto is found on the River Douro where visitors can take a boat trip or even head down it on a kayak. When one writer visited last year, he couldn't get enough of the custard tarts, or pastel de nata, which he said you can pick up on every street for around €1. And of course there are vineyards aplenty and an opportunity to do tastings all around the city. Brits can fly directly to Porto from several UK airports, including London Gatwick, which takes two hours 20 minutes. The pretty twin beach villages in the ‘forgotten corner' of Cornwall

Plus, the other village in Cornwall that has been compared to Santorini COR BLIMEY The pretty twin beach villages in the 'forgotten corner' of Cornwall Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) BEAUTIFUL beaches and charming coastal cottages are what you'll find in Kingsand and Cawsand . The villages in Cornwall are found in a 'forgotten corner' of the coast and while they are now twinned, were once in separate counties. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 4 Kingsand and Cawsand are twin villages in Cornwall Credit: Alamy 4 They're found in the forgotten corner of the country on the Rame Peninsula Credit: Alamy Kingsand and Cawsand sit side by side on the south east of the county. They are often described as being in the 'forgotten corner' due to their secluded location on the Rame Peninsula. The adjoining villages aren't visited by tourists as much as the likes of St Ives, Port Isaac, Mevagissey, and Mousehole. But both villages have beautiful shingle beaches and cosy looking cottages. The banks of Cawsand have plenty of rockpools to explore, and when the sea is calm, boats can be hired for another adventure. One visitor wrote on Tripadvisor: "To get to the beach you walk through beautiful little coloured cottages and a gorgeous town square. "The beach was clean and well kept, very safe for the children as it was within a bay so there were no rips." During the summer season, a vintage ice cream called Cawsand Bay Vintage Scoops on the promenade next to Cawsand beach to serve iced treats. The village of Kingsand has another of the area's favourite beaches. The bay is well sheltered so it's perfect for swimming, and it's dog-friendly all year round. Pub With A 'Floating' Beer Garden By The Beach 4 The beaches on both villages have classic shingle shores Credit: Alamy The beach is surrounded by pubs, making it a great spot for holidaymakers, popular spots include the The Devenport Inn and The Halfway House Inn. The two village were historically separated by a stream, with Kingsand in Devon and Cawsand in Cornwall. This division continued until 1844, when the boundary was adjusted, and Kingsand officially became part of Cornwall as well. Both have a rich history of smuggling and fishing, you can even see remains of old pilchard cellars from the late 16th century on the shoreline beyond Kingsand. Further along the coastline is another tiny Cornish village that's been called the UK's answer to Greece. Polperro has white-washed cottages and in the summertime, a bright turquoise sea which has led to it being compared to Santorini. Quaint cottages sit in the hillsides and fishing boats bob in the harbour which further paints the image of Greece. In the village there are steep streets to amble down filled with charming houses, shops and galleries. And another Cornish village compared to Greece with seafront Roman attraction and one of the UK's warmest beaches. Plus an English village that's the 'quiet side of Cornwall' has A-list holidaymakers and no cars.
