Don't miss out on the headlines from Other Sports. Followed categories will be added to My News. Former NRL star Kevin Proctor has no regrets about taking part in RUNIT 02 in Dubai over the weekend, despite suffering a shocking knockout that has gone viral on social media. The 282 NRL game second rower came off second best after getting his head in the wrong position in an exhibition run it straight contest against former lower grade footy player turned social media influencer Jordan Simi. Footage of the hit showed the former Kiwis forward face-plant onto the astroturf with his arms and legs stiffening as medical personnel rush to him. 'Just want to say thank you to everyone that has messaged me to ask if I was alright,' Proctor wrote on Instagram before flying back to Australia. 'I'm all good. 'We all know what we sign up for getting in there. 'It's a contact sport and unfortunately I put my head in the wrong place and came out second best. 'Ya win some ya lose some ... but no hard feelings. Hats off to the bro. It is what it is. 'I got in there had a crack at least. 'I like to thank @ for having me! Still grateful to be apart of it and im sure you guys are only going to get bigger n bigger. 'Congrats to all the winners and organisation for putting on a great event. The event had a massive prize pool, with first place leaving with $200,000, second place pocketing $50,000 and third place walking away with $25,000. A social media sensation, RUNIT has gone viral with clips of big hits and thunderous collisions spreading like wildfire on Instagram and TikTok. It has attracted a huge amount of criticism as well though, with dozens of CTE experts slamming it. EDFL: Inside Daniel Harris' first month in charge of Pascoe Vale
Don't miss out on the headlines from Essendon. Followed categories will be added to My News. Daniel Harris has now been the senior coach of Pascoe Vale for a month and his messaging isn't changing. 'I've told 'let's have some fun and go out there and enjoy your footy',' he said. The Panthers have now won three of their last four EDFL Premier Division matches to sit sixth on the ladder with a sniff of finals footy, although they sit two games back of Deer Park. Harris replaced Leigh Tudor, who moved on due to work commitments, and has helped sparked new life into Pacco's season. They recorded their best win of the year on Saturday after overcoming premiership contender Strathmore by 14 points. 'People might not realise how young of a group we've got and the amount of list turnover from last year,' Harris said. 'When I took over, I saw it as an opportunity to reset with the game. I put an emphasis on the players getting to know each other, not on the field but off it just as importantly. 'I asked them all their why. Why do they play footy and now it's something their teammates know as well. It's so important to value each other and value your spot in the side. 'You have to know what your teammates expect from you. 'We're trying to get the group closer.' Wins against Airport West and East Keilor came before a slip up against Essendon Doutta Stars where Harris said his side learnt from their mistakes. 'We haven't tried to change too much structurally,' he said. 'If I did, then that's three coaches in three years and it's a lot of changes. We've got a lot of young guys who are learning about senior footy with some older guys who are hoping they can be fast tracked so we can be right up towards the top of the ladder. 'You can see the talent is there, they just need to be taught.' Pascoe Vale now turns its attention to a trip to Greenvale as it aims to keep touch with the finals race. 'The goal was to win three of four games,' Harris said. 'The competition is so even at the moment, you can't look too far ahead.'

Dua Lipa celebrates five-night sold out stadium run with perfect pub act
Don't miss out on the headlines from Music Tours. Followed categories will be added to My News. Dua Lipa is ticking off life goals left, right and centre at the moment as the pop superstar celebrated five straight sold out stadium shows in England and Ireland. Having taken her Radical Optimism Tour to the UK, the 29-year-old songstress sold out Wembley Stadium twice, Liverpool's Anfield twice and Aviva Stadium in Dublin over the last week, continuing her wildly successful tour. And what better way to celebrate than with a well earned beverage. When in Ireland, you do as the Irish do and Dua took to social media as she downed a Guinness attempting to 'split the G'. '5 SOLD OUT STADIUMS IN A ROW!!!! ~ ONLY ONE WAY TO CELEBRATE!!!! BY SPLITTING THE G!!!!!!' she wrote on Instagram. While Aussies will be more accustomed to chugging the entire drink in one go like our late former Prime Minister Bob Hawke at the cricket, in Ireland, they take a more precision approach. 'Splitting the G' refers to drinking until the liquid perfectly cuts the G in Guinness on the glass in half, an act that Dua at the very least had an admirable attempt at. Although the origins of the trend are hazy at best, a Reddit thread claimed it came up in 2006 and was known as the Guinness Challenge, while others, including London pub Daffodil Mulligan claim that because no one can pinpoint the origin 'we're taking a small liberty in claiming it as an Irish tradition'. Whatever it is, the trend has become a viral sensation and a badge of honour for Guinness drinkers. There's even one pub owner in Galway who offers a free second pint to anyone who can 'split the G' on their first try on their first pint. Dua Lipa just won a bunch more followers! Photo: Instagram It's an admirable effort from the star. Photo: Instagram Close but no cigar to the sticklers. Photo: Instagram Dua shared her party snaps – and the Guinness was flowing. Photo: Instagram However, one controversy has arisen about how much of the beverage should be consumed, with contention over whether it should be drunk until halfway down the G — as Dua did — or whether it's splitting the top of the G from the bottom of the harp in the Guinness logo. But most Dua Lipa fans were too busy celebrating the star's achievement — and her iconic celebration — to worry about that. 'Cannot deal with how iconic you are having a lock-in, in a Dublin pub immediately after a sell out stadium gig,' one fan commented. Guinness US posted: 'Congrats and sláinte!' Sláinte is Gaelic for 'health' and is a popular toast. 'Immaculate vibes as always,' another posted. A fourth added: 'Splitting the G after 5 sold out stadiums is top aura moments.' Others felt they needed to pop the bubble. 'You sadly did not split the g Dua,' one commented. 'Well done on the shows, but you're miles off splitting the G … just saying …' another said. Pretty sure Dua still won. Photo byIt was party time for Dua and her crew. Photo: Instagram She had plenty to celebrate. Photo: Instagram Dua's tour has been going on since November last year, and she's due to hit Canada in September, followed by the major cities in the United States, and will finish up in Mexico City on December 5. The pop star already took Australia by storm with eight shows between Melbourne and Sydney back in March, where she made the most of her time Down Under. A-list star hits Aussie beach in tiny bikini VIEW GALLERY It's been an incredible year for Dua after she revealed she was engaged to British actor Callum Turner back in December. She only confirmed the rumour to British Vogue in June. 'Yes, we're engaged,' she told the magazine. 'It's very exciting.' The pair were first linked as a couple in January 2024 when they were spotted dancing the night away at his Masters of Air premiere afterparty in Los Angeles. Months later, they were photographed engaging in some PDA during a trip to New York City. Originally published as Dua Lipa celebrates five-night sold out stadium run with perfect pub act
