From characters like Tusli Virani to Baa, all the character of this famous sitcom had their own aura that captivated the audience. But out of the many characters, one character that stood out was 'Ansh Gujral'. Ansh was television's most talked-about villain, whose death and rebirth always created a buzz.
This character was portrayed by Akashdeep Saigal, who became a familiar face and household name after portraying this infamous role. But after grabbing so many eyeballs, Akashdeep completely absconded from the limelight and the world of flashy cameras. Akashdeep started his career with modelling, and he also won the 1998 Gladrags Manhunt Contest. Later, he also came in a music video 'Deewane to Deewane Hain' with Shweta Shetty. In 1999, he made his Bollywood debut with the film Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. He also appeared in many soap operas like Kkusum, Comedy Circus, and Bigg Boss 5, however, it was his role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi that rose him to fame.
Besides this, Akashdeep also ventured into Tamil and Pakistani cinema, and he starred in the films Ayan and Saltnaat receptively. He last appeared in the role of Peer Mohammad in 'Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh'which was released in 2017.
Later in an interview, Akashdeep opened up about his disappearance from acting. He shared that he was taking care of some personal responsibilities. He was busy taking care of his ill mother, which prompted him to take a break. One thing led to another, and his break extended to years during which he also got into depression. While he was away from the world of the limelight, he also tried to build a life outside the entertainment industry. He even opened clubs in Goa and is planning one in Delhi.
Besides this, Akashdeep has always been in the spotlight for his personal life. During his modeling days, he dated supermodel Madhu Sapre. His long-term relationship with actress Shazahn Padamsee also became talk of the town, and later, his romance with Pooja Bedi in Bigg Boss 5 also made headlines.
Now, since the buzz of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2 is doing rounds, Akashdeep wants to return and make a comeback.
