Naked Gun star Liam Neeson's cheeky dig at man-of-of-the-moment Pedro Pascal
Liam Neeson joked about Last of Us star Pedro Pascal's packed work schedule, as the Taken actor made an appearance at an early screening of the reboot of 80s parody movie Naked Gun The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal is one of the most prolific actors in Hollywood at the moment, with the Chilean-American actor about to take on one of his biggest roles to date in the new Marvel movie Fantastic Four. And even Liam Neeson couldn't help himself, with the Naked Gun star making a cheeky dig about him at an early screening for his new movie. Neeson, 73, is starring as Frank Drebin Jr in the 80s parody's reboot, which is out in cinemas today, with r eviewers hailing it a "masterclass". Speaking at the New York screening, a video of the star has done the rounds on social media. Posted by entertainment reporter Jonathan Sim, the clips shows Neeson thanking his audience for going to see the movie. He jokes that the needs them to "please laugh out loud" at the funny moments. It comes after Taylor Swift sparks engagement rumours as fans spot Travis Kelce's lock screen Neeson goes on to quip: "Spoiler alert: there's no zombies, no superheroes, and Pedro Pascal isn't in this movie," with fans laughing at his comment. His joke highlights how Pascal's career seems to be going from strength to strength, with the 50-year-old cast in numerous new productions following 20 years of working his way up in smaller roles on TV and on stage. Those roles however have included the lead in Netflix series Narcos as well as Star Wars series The Mandalorian and HBO's hit show The Last of Us. He has also featured in films such as Wonder Woman 1984, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent and Gladiator II. This year, alongside Fantastic Four he will also feature in modern western Eddington as well as romantic comedy Materialists opposite Dakota Johnson. With his recent success, Parade magazine estimates his net worth at around $10 million. But despite his high profile, Pascal has managed to keep his private life largely under wraps. He made headlines back in March after he was spotted getting close to former Friends star Jennifer Aniston. The pair were spotted together in Los Angeles at a dinner that 'lasted three hours', as reported by The Mirror. They then spent the night at the Tower Bar at the Sunset Hotel in West Hollywood. Aniston and Pascal arrived separately after 8pm and left in separate ways three hours later, in photos seen by Daily Mail. Both opted for casual outfits for the evening and soon parted ways after having a conversation outside the parking valet area. Aniston and Pascal's dinner date comes amid speculation he might join her Apple TV series, The Morning Show. Despite the dating speculations, Pascal is thought to be single. Meanwhile, Liam has been romantically linked to Pamela Anderson, although they too are keeping quiet about their relationship status. Neeson was married to British actress Natasha Richardson from 1994, until she tragically died in 2009 following a head injury. The close bond between Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson has been the topic of conversation around the world as the pair continue to remain silent over whether or not they're in a relationship. But it looks as though the writing was on the wall as far back as last year when the Taken star declared his love for the former Baywatch icon. In an interview with People magazine, Liam, 73, candidly confessed to being "madly in love" with the mum of two. At the time, he told the publication: "With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her." He added: "She's just terrific to work with. I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with. She's going to be terrific in the film."

Liam Neeson takes a cheeky swipe at Pedro Pascal while promoting new film
Liam Neeson couldn't help but take a cheeky swipe at Pedro Pascal's incredibly packed schedule as he promoted the Naked Gun this week. The Taken actor is starring as Frank Drebin Jr in the reboot of the 80s parody, which is released in cinemas today. A new video has made the rounds on social media, showing the 73-year-old popping up at an early screening in New York and sharing a couple of words about his new project. In the clip, posted by entertainment reporter Jonathan Sim, he thanked the audience for coming before urging them to 'please laugh out loud' at any funny moments – of which there are plenty. 'Spoiler alert: there's no zombies, no superheroes, and Pedro Pascal isn't in this movie,' the action favorite added, to chuckles from the audience. His cheeky comments made light of the ongoing joke that Pedro is in every film or TV show at the moment – after he clocked up roles in The Last of Us, Eddington, Materialists and the Fantastic Four in the last few months alone. The internet's new husband is truly taking 'booked and busy' to a whole new level, and shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, he will be appearing in the Mandalorian and Grogu, as well as Avengers: Doomsday, next year. Meanwhile, Liam has a very busy schedule of his own, and has been jetting around the world to promote the Naked Gun – while also remaining coy of rumors of a romance with his co-star, Pamela Anderson. Despite not confirming the speculation, they are said to be 'smitten' with each other and got very close on set, to film the 'strangest' sex scene of their careers. A bizarre montage showed Frank and Beth (Pamela) taking things to the next level during a romantic getaway, with a snowman joining them in the bedroom. Chatting to Metro at the New York premiere, writers Dan Gregor and Doug Mand opened up about putting Liam through his paces, revealing the most 'absurd' thing they asked him to do on camera. 'This is a spoiler, but he has a great … very strange love scene that I believe has to be the strangest sex scene of his life,' Dan told us. 'Every day was the strangest thing,' Doug recalled. 'Every scene is like, 'Liam Neeson is doing this?'' The Naked Gun franchise is a hilarious parody of traditional police action dramas, but – without giving too much away – there are a few jokes that may straddle the line, to which Dan quipped: 'We're all about straddling things. More Trending 'You've got to look at that third rail and just touch it … you hope you don't electrocute yourself too bad but you want to get a little bit of a shock,' Doug insisted. 'We tried everything, and we just let the audience tell us,' his writing partner added. 'We would show it to friends, we would show it to test audiences, and if it got the laugh, then we got the laugh. 'Then we felt comfortable that that we landed on something good.' Five jockeys involved in light aircraft drama
Scott's agent Niall Hannity said: 'They set off from Bagby and something went wrong with the plane so they started to get a bit panicky, as you can imagine. 'The pilot, who has 25 years' experience, said nothing like it had ever happened to him but they were able to get turned round and land back at Bagby, which must have been frightening. 'The main thing is they got back down and they are all safe now. 'Rowan was sending me messages in the air asking me to let John Quinn and Alice Haynes know he wouldn't be able to ride their horses today and I was telling him not to worry about that in the grand scheme of things!' He added: 'It was Rowan's first time in a private plane – he said it's also his last.' To make matters worse for Scott, Haynes' Naana's Sparkle (15-2) went and won the Buccellati Handicap under his substitute Charles Bishop. Haynes said: 'Poor Rowan was upset he couldn't make it. He sounded quite shook up. Thank God they are all OK. I think the engine failed after they had gone 20 minutes.''
