FSU football recruiting: Seminoles land 4-star WR Jasen Lopez. Will also play basketball
That's a win not only a win for Mike Norvell but also a win for men's basketball coach Luke Loucks as Lopez plans to play for both programs next year.

FSU and Miami were neck and neck for the South Florida native before making his decision and announcing it to On3.com Thursday, June 26. North Carolina State and West Virginia were also in the mix as he visited all four schools this month.
Wide receiver coach Tim Harris Jr sealed the deal in landing the 5-foot-10, 165-dual-sport athlete. He also met with Loucks during his official visit. He will be the first Seminole commit in his 2026 class.
On the football side, Lopez is the fifth receiver and 20th player to pledge to the Seminoles in the 2026 class. According to 247 Sports' composite rankings, Lopez is ranked No. 43 wide receiver and No. 19 in the state.

As a junior, Lopez recorded 87 catches for 1,300 yards and 14 TDs. On the court, he averaged 25 points, 2.2 assists, 6.4 rebounds and 4.1 steals a game.
FSU remains at No. 9 in 247 Sports' team rankings.

The selling point for F1 is that they've done the same for driving, with the production touting stars Damson Idris and Pitt's real skills on the racetrack. While F1: The Movie focuses on Pitt and Idris' characters, real-life drivers also make several appearances throughout. Though it makes you wonder if fans seeing their favorite drivers on the big screen will be a distraction or help with the continuity. Personally, I'm never mad when McLaren driver Lando Norris pops up on my screen. The film also boasts seven-time World Champion and current Scuderia Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton as a producer. Hamilton has praised the film as the 'most authentic racing movie that's ever been made.' He also said the film's creative team listened to his insights for small details, from 'the sounds a car would make when it's at a certain position on the track or the way a crash might happen.' F1 is looking to notch a solid start at the box office, with predictions estimating a domestic opening of $40 million to $50 million. And has earned strong reviews, which give it high marks for its feeling of authenticity. As Lovia Gyarkye wrote for The Hollywood Reporter: 'The strongest scenes in F1 … are these moments during race weekends, when Kosinki embeds his fictional team with real ones.'
