Outlander dress goes on show in village where series filmed
The National Trust for Scotland (NTS) is celebrating the link by putting a dress worn by the character Geillis Duncan on show at Culross Palace, one of the properties in its care.
Visitors can see the dress by Terry Dresbach – the costume designer for series one to four – with its accompanying white under garment, corset, and underskirt.

Anna Rathband, NTS filming manager, said: 'We've had a great relationship with the production of Outlander for more than a decade.
'Six out of its eight seasons filmed at Trust places, including Culross Palace, Falkland Palace, the Hermitage, Newhailes, and Preston Mill.
'Hundreds, if not thousands, of Outlander fans have already come from across the world to engage with the story and to learn more about the history of our country.
'We're excited to bring a piece of Outlander to Culross Palace and make Geillis's dress available for the public to see up close.
'Many fans of the series will recognise Culross as the fictional village of Cranesmuir in seasons one and two, and the village, Culross Palace, and the palace's garden have featured in a variety of scenes throughout the series, so it will give them a chance to stand in the Outlander world and connect with a piece of its history.'
Geillis Duncan was a real person who was accused by magistrate David Seton of witchcraft in 1590.
Her forced confession is said to have fuelled witchcraft accusations in Scotland, contributing to the North Berwick witch trials and accusations against more than 60 people.
The character Geillis, played by Lotte Verbeek, is first seen in season one of Outlander.

In the Outlander series, inspired by Diana Gabaldon's books, Geillis first appears in 1743 and befriends the main character, Claire Randall.
Eventually, Geillis is tried and executed for witchcraft, revealing her real name is Gillian Edgars, a Jacobite who deliberately returned to Scotland before the 1745 uprising to try and change the course of history.
The dress is on show from Wednesday until autumn 2026 and viewing it is included with admission to Culross Palace and garden.

Outlander's Sam Heughan makes 'weird' Jamie Fraser admission
The Outlander actor opened up about leaving behind his iconic character Outlander star Sam Heughan has reflected on saying farewell to his beloved 18th century Scottish Highlander alter-ego Jamie Fraser, after recently teasing the final-ever scene and revealing a new project he's working on. In a recent interview, the 45-year actor addressed the end of the Starz series, which propelled him into the spotlight and has been part of his life for over a decade. Speaking on The Travel Diaries with Holly Rubenstein podcast, Heughan was asked whether he was ready to let the character go while embarking on a hike to the Everest Base Camp in Nepal. The star said: 'I thought perhaps while I was filming at the time, I thought, 'Oh, this is going to be a great way to say goodbye.' 'And, of course, the reality of it was I was more concentrated on breathing and putting one step in front of the other and not freezing to death. 'I mean, I don't think there was much time thinking of Jamie Fraser. There was a lot of time to think, it was fantastic.' Heughan continued: 'But actually saying goodbye to Jamie Fraser has been a longer process, it's weird. I don't know. 'Spending 11 years in one intense world, playing a certain character, it's taken time and perhaps only now do I feel like I've certainly put it to rest.' After playing the heroic Outlander character for so long, Heughan will be delivering a very different turn as the villainous Macbeth when he treads the boards later this year in the Royal Shakespeare Company's forthcoming production. He will be starring opposite The Crown and The Capture's Lia Williams, who portrays the equally Machiavellian Lady Macbeth in the Scottish Play. Along with discussing the end of Outlander on the podcast, Heughan also opened up on his favourite travel destinations, previous trips away, as well as when he first decided to become an actor. Outlander's eighth and final season will be hitting screens in early 2026 following an announcement at San Diego Comic-Con by Starz. In the meantime, fans champing at the bit can enjoy prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood, which explores the respective romances of Jamie and Claire Fraser's (played by Caitríona Balfe) parents. The series will be debut this week with a double-bill special immersing audiences into the worlds of Britain during the Blitz and 18th century Scottish Highland clan warfare. Viewers will follow the lives of Brian Fraser (played by Jamie Roy), Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield), whose lives an inextricably intertwined thanks to spot of pesky time travel. Season two is already into production after Starz renewed Blood of My Blood ahead of the series premiere. Outlander: Blood of My Blood premieres on Starz on August 8 and on Prime Video via MGM+ on August 9 The Travel Diaries with Holly Rubenstein podcast is available now wherever you get your podcasts

One Tree Hill star Jana Kramer reacts to rumor her husband Allan Russell is on the Bumble dating app
Jana Kramer says she isn't worried about rumors her husband is stepping out on her. The 72 Hours actress, whose husband Allan Russell, 41, revealed some very personal information about their sex life, opened up about the issue Monday in her Whine Down podcast. 'I literally trust Allan so much. Did you get the email about Bumble?' Kramer, 41, asked her co-host, claiming that someone had been impersonating the former Scottish soccer player on the dating app. 'Remember how there was this thing going around being like, "Oh, Allan is on a dating app?" And Allan and I were joking about it. It's hilarious,' she said. Showing her trust in her husband, she said, 'But I wouldn't even look into that now. In years past, I would have 1,000 percent looked into it.' However, the One Tree Hill alumna said there is still some cause for concern, as there is allegedly ''a fake Bumble account going around and they're using his picture.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jana Kramer (@kramergirl) She explained, 'There's not a piece of me' that believes the rumors. Kramer said her marriage to Russell is 'so different than my last one' to former Buffalo Bills tight-end Mike Caussin, 38, who was unfaithful to her several times and eventually entered into treatment for sex addiction. The couple were married from 2015–2021, and they share two children: Jolie, nine, and Jace, six. Kramer's first marriage to Michael Gambino, 47, was a violent one. Gambino was convicted on attempted murder charges after a 2005 incident in which he choked the actress until she was unconscious. He was released in 2010 and took his own life two years later. She shared a short-lived one-month marriage with That Thing You Do actor Johnathon Schaech in 2010. Kramer began dating Russell is January 2023, and by November of that year they had welcomed their son Roman, 21 months. They married legally in January 2024 and held a formal ceremony in July. 'Happy 1st wedding anniversary my love,' Kramer wrote on social media last month sharing photos from their big day. 'It's been a year full of love, growth, and adventure. Thank you for loving me the way you do and for making this first year more beautiful than I ever imagined. I wouldn't want to do life with anyone else. Happy anniversary my love.' 'We have everything to last,' she said Monday of her relationship with Russell. 'I didn't have anything to hold on to in my last marriages. So that's why it's so different. So, it's like, hold on now to what you know to be the truth of what you do have.'
