Daniel Dubois declares 'I'm not the same boy from our first fight' as Oleksandr Usyk sends final message ahead of duo's undisputed world heavyweight championship bout
No, not by way of predicting in which round he will knock out the young Londoner who is hoping to put an end to the Ukrainian war hero's unbeaten record.
Usyk was affirming his expectation of crowning his legend by becoming an undisputed world champion for a third time.
First at cruiserweight. Secondly at heavyweight in the process of beating both Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury twice. Next by taking from Dubois the only one of the four alphabets not currently in his possession.
'No way,' said Dubois. 'He's making the mistake of believing I'm still the same boy he beat in our first fight two and a half years ago. Wrong. I'm in my prime now.'
At Wednesday's public workout, Dubois bounced about the canvas like that cat on a hot tin roof and had the crowd a-jumping to his yells of confidence that he will end Usyk's unbeaten reign as the heavyweight of the century.
On one thing they agreed at a rather formal affair by Fury standards was both saying almost in chorus: 'I'm ready to rumble.'
The Ukrainian ring master was buzzing too but used the burst of exercise to re-rehearse in shadow boxing the upward punching he used to great effect in defeating the three British giants.
Usyk v Dubois for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world will be televised live on DAZN pay per view this Saturday night.

Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois 2 predictions: Boxing tips and odds
Our boxing tipster Dan Fitch has predictions for Saturday's world heavyweight unification fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium. We're backing the Ukrainian to stop his opponent for a second time. Usyk vs Dubois tips Usyk to win by KO, TKO or DQ @ 6/4 with talkSPORT BET Usyk to win, Okolie vs Lerena to not go the distance, and Barrios to win @ 2/1 with talkSPORT BET Odds courtesy of talkSPORT BET correct at the time of publication and subject to change. New customers at talkSPORT BET can get odds of 50/1 for either Usyk or Dubois to win the fight. Already a talkSPORT BET member? Ukrainian to claim another victory Briton Dubois floored Usyk in round five of their previous fight in 2023, with what the referee deemed was a low blow. The Ukrainian was given five minutes to recover. However, the Dubois camp have argued that the punch was legitimate and their man was denied an opportunity to finish off his opponent. I think that the referee made the right decision – but regardless, it is worth remembering that Usyk had dominated the fight before the incident and continued to do so afterwards. He commanded the centre of the ring and made Dubois work hard in the early rounds, with his constant movement and persistent southpaw jab. Usyk's workrate not only leaves his opponents physically drained by the later rounds, but also mentally fatigued from the level of concentration required. He was able to stop his younger opponent in the ninth round, having already knocked him down in the eighth. Check out our rankings of the best boxing betting sites Dubois has had a trio of very impressive wins since then, stopping Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua. Yet all three of those fighters are easy to hit, and Usyk is not. Although Dubois undoubtedly has a puncher's chance, he will have to land cleanly, which he rarely managed when they last fought. Despite Usyk being the smaller man, his supreme footwork means that he is able to dominate fights and be the aggressor while also remaining elusive. While he is now 38 years old and time is the one opponent that no boxer can beat, there was little evidence during his two wins over Tyson Fury last year that the Olympic gold medallist is slowing down. Dubois' only chance is to finish this early and I think the energy that he will waste in pursuit of this task will leave him susceptible to another stoppage late in the fight. Treble pays out at 2/1 For my second tip, I am recommending a treble from the weekend boxing schedule. We start with Usyk to simply win, which gives you another opportunity to profit should he claim victory by decision rather than stoppage. From the undercard, there could be fireworks when Briton Lawrence Okolie takes on South African Kevin Lerena. Both are big punchers, with Lerena flooring Dubois three times before being knocked out himself in their 2022 bout. You can get odds of 4/6 for Okolie's fight with Lerena not going the distance, which adds some weight to our treble. Finally I'm picking Mexican-American Mario Barrios to beat Manny Pacquiao in their WBC welterweight championship match in Las Vegas on Sunday morning. The Filipino is now 46 years old and lost his previous professional fight to Cuban Yordenis Ugas in 2021. Since then he has looked uninspired in exhibition bouts. Manchester United make improved bid worth up to £70 million for Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United have made an improved bid worth up to £70 million (€80 million) for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, the PA news agency understands. The 25-year-old has been a key target for Ruben Amorim's Red Devils, who made a first approach of £45m (€51 million) plus £10m (€11 million) in potential add-ons six weeks ago. Advertisement United followed that up with an improved proposal exceeding £60m a few weeks later but talks stalled as Brentford held on for a greater fee for Mbeumo. Manchester United have been desperate to sign Bryan Mbeumo (Nick Potts/PA) The Old Trafford club have now made a new offer that PA understands to be worth £65m plus an additional £5m in potential add-ons as they attempt to sign the player before their pre-season tour. Amorim's men head to the United States on Tuesday and have so far only signed Brazil international Matheus Cunha from Wolves for a fee of £62.5m. Mbeumo joined Brentford from Troyes in 2019 and has a year left on his deal, albeit there is an option to extend by a further year. United are looking to rebuild after slumping home 15th last season and losing the Europa League final to Tottenham, meaning they missed out on Champions League qualification and European football entirely. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia are searching for new homes. Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof have left on free transfers, while Jonny Evans has retired.
