Khloe Kardashian On Why She ‘Chose' To Take Care Of Ex Tristan Thompson's Brother Amari
Khloe Kardashian has opened up about the heartfelt decision to become the primary caretaker for Amari Thompson, her ex Tristan Thompson's younger brother. In the latest Ask Me Anything episode of her podcast Khloe in Wonder Land, released on July 30, the Kardashians star got candid about why she stepped in to help Amari after his mother Andrea Thompson passed away in January 2023.
'For those who don't know, Tristan has a younger brother who is 18 years old, and he is severely disabled," Khloe explained. She added, 'Amari has LGS (Lennox-Gastaut syndrome), which is a form of epilepsy, and he is disabled. He can't walk or talk. He's never been able to talk."
Andrea would take care of Amari when the family lived in Canada. After her sudden death, the family brought Amari to Los Angeles. 'We — me, Tristan, my whole family — took Amari back with us to the States," she further shared.
Amari Stays With Khloe Kardashian
According to Kardashian, Tristan's NBA schedule keeps him constantly on the move and it does not allow him to care for his brother. This prompted Khloe to step in and stay with Amari. She continued, 'Tristan is in the NBA, and he is in a different state literally every other day or every few days, and it's just not conducive for Amari to be on that many planes. Amari has a handful of seizures a day with the type of epilepsy that he has."
'So Amari stays in LA with me, and I have chosen to take care of him and be there for him, because it's not good that he travels," Khloe went on.
Khloe Kardashian Calls Amari 'Blessing'
Khloe Kardashian had more to say about Amari's presence in her household, calling him a 'blessing' for her children True and Tatum whom she shares with Tristan. 'I think it's so important for my kids, my nieces and nephews, to be exposed to all different types of people in the world," she said. According to her, the presence of Amari teaches her kids about compassion and understanding.
The Good American co-founder is proud and honoured to have Amari in my life. Although Amari cannot verbally talk with those who know him well enough, he can express himself, as per Kardashian. She then went on to address the inevitable questions about why she stepped in despite her breakup with Tristan. Khloe said, 'People are always like, why did I do that? Me and Tristan aren't together, why would I take on helping Amari?"
Her answer included details about her longtime bond with the Thompson family. 'When I met them, Andrea, Tristan's mom and I, we became such good friends. I would help her with Amari medically." She said that her decision comes from a place of deep compassion and commitment to giving Amari the love and stability he deserves.

On day two, Dhadak 2 showed a slight bump at the box office, raking in Rs 3.75 crore. The film had opened with Rs 3.5 crore on its first day, and with this new figure, its total collection has now reached Rs 7.25 crore. While the numbers aren't huge, the film seems to be holding steady heading into the weekend. Dhadak 2 isn't having it easy at the box office. The film is facing tough competition from Son of Sardaar 2, which also released this week. The Ajay Devgn-starrer comedy sequel earned Rs 7.5 crore on its second day which is double of Dhadak 2's Day 2 collection. With this, Son of Sardaar 2's total now stands at Rs 14.5 crore. Meanwhile, Saiyaara continues to rule the box office in its third week. The romantic drama is all set to cross the Rs 300 crore mark by Sunday. Also holding strong is the animated mythological film Mahavtar Narasimha, which is doing very well in its second week. The film narrates the story of a law student who falls in love with his classmate, only to face harassment from her family due to caste differences. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, and backed by Dharma Productions, Zed Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, the romantic drama dives deep into themes of caste discrimination, love, and social resistance, offering a raw and emotionally charged cinematic experience. A spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, this version is a remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. To solve this issue, a creative Instagram user stunned the internet with his out-of-the-box idea. Any guesses? The said person upcycled an old fridge from a trash station into a vibrant, handmade shoe cabinet exclusively for his Crocs. Yes, you read that right. In a video shared on Instagram, the creator revealed that he often used to throw his Crocs around the house. Spotting an abandoned fridge at a trash station, he decided to give it a new lease of life and give his shoes a proper home. Step-by-Step Process The transformation process to make his new cabinet began with a thorough wash of the fridge. Enjoying the monsoon rains, the man cleaned the fridge nicely. Next, he swapped out the original fridge shelves for custom wooden sliders. He then treated the dents and rusty flakes coming off with iron-based putty, which he recommended picking up from any local hardware store. After allowing the surface to dry overnight, he lightly sanded it smooth, applied a white primer, and then sanded once more for an even base. The painting process brought the cabinet to life. Using chalk paints, he painted a colourful Madhubani art design, a traditional Indian folk art style. The piece was finished with matte varnish or lacquer, peel-and-stick tiles, hooks, decals, and wooden legs, making it look nothing like a former kitchen appliance. Social media reactions The cabinet's bold look and creative reuse didn't go unnoticed. Bollywood actor Aparshakti Khurana commented, 'Tooo good! Whatta Collab." While Jheel Mehta from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah praised the innovation, writing, 'Amazing creativity!" Social media users across the platform also echoed the sentiment. As of now, the upcycled masterpiece has racked up more than 20.3 million views and over 1.5 million likes. 'Dude, this is so good," read a comment. Another added, 'Wow, that's incredible!!!!" 'Sometimes the aesthetic is more valuable than the cost. No doubt a cheaper shoe rack was easier to buy, but the handmade art and efforts put into this rack are more valuable than anything out in the market, not to forget how beautiful that rack is," said a user. An account posted, 'Broooo!!! This is something extraordinary." 'Damn!!! How can someone be so creative?" an individual remarked.
