Anna Wintour steps down as Vogue Editor in Chief: At 75, the It lady of fashion's morning routine includes walks, gym
In a move that has rocked the fashion industry, Anna Wintour is stepping down from her role as the editor-in-chief of American Vogue. The It lady of the fashion world has ruled the industry for many years now, and nothing happens in it without her involvement. Therefore, it is right to say that her departure leaves a bigger absence in the fashion world than would be left by the departure of any designer or supermodel. Despite her high-profile position, Wintour has always kept a relatively low profile. In an interview, the fashion icon had once said that what works best for her is 'a pretty consistent structure' that she follows daily.
According to CNBC, Wintour told Masterclass that she wakes up between 4 AM and 5:30 AM on workdays, and the first thing she does is read both the British and the American newspapers online to make sure she knows exactly what's happening in the world. Anna also likes to go to the gym every morning and take a walk. She also plays tennis and has breakfast, which mainly includes 'Starbucks.' 'I go to the gym. I walk through Washington Square Park, which is always an interesting experience,' she revealed. Then, she heads into the Vogue offices in downtown Manhattan, usually arriving between 8 and 8:30 AM, where she meets with the teams, conducts meetings, and also plans events. Anna Wintour's departure from the editor-in-chief position
Meanwhile, for the uninitiated, Wintour has held the official title of editor-in-chief of American Vogue for more than three decades. She will still remain the chief content officer for Condé Nast and global editorial director of Vogue.
According to the Associated Press, she broke the news to Vogue staff in a meeting earlier Thursday. 'Now, I find that my greatest pleasure is helping the next generation of impassioned editors storm the field with their own ideas," she said. The 75-year-old transformed Vogue during her decades at the magazine. She was named creative director in 1983, served as editor in chief of British Vogue from 1985 to 1987, then rejoined the American title as editor in chief. Emma Raducanu, Katie Boulter's and your favourite Tennis stars' post-match meal choices revealed
Image credits: Instagram/bbcsport Sports is a field that requires constant discipline and effort. Be it practice or diet, every aspect of life needs to be monitored and tailored to ensure efficient performance in games. This is even more serious for professional players whose careers depend on every match they play and their love for the sport trespasses all horizons. In a video going viral on the internet, BBC Sport asked popular tennis players what their after-match meal looked like and their answers were definitely what we expected. For sports players who monitor every calorie intake for optimum energy, strength and performance, one would think a diet would be full of healthy meals and dishes. However, the reality seems far away. What do popular tennis stars eat post-match? Image credits: Instagram/bbcsports For star Emma Raducanu, a British professional tennis player with a world ranking of 10 and a British ranking of 1, steak is "always" a post-match meal. "I've been kind of experimenting with my diet, and I've been having a lot more steak recently. It's a good diet," said the 22-year-old star player. For Katie Boulter, a 28-year-old tennis player, a post-match meal begins with a protein shake followed by a carb-loaded dish which is either pasta with Bolognese or a little bit of salad on the side. Daria Kasatkina, a Russian-born Australian professional tennis player is a fan of brunches followed by coffee- oat milk, flat white and avocado toast with halloumi cheese. "That's like a must-have," she said. Emma Navarro, an American professional tennis player, prefers deciding her meals on the basis of the result of her match. "Did I win or lose?" asked the 24-year-old sportswoman. "If I won that means I may have to play tomorrow or the next day, so I'm going to keep it simple, maybe a steak, some rice and some veggies." "If I lose, I'm probably going to eat something unhealthy, maybe a burger or some fries or maybe a beer, we'll see," she added. For Czech player Barbora Krejčíková, a post-match meal is simple with some steak with some rice. However, for Jodie Burrage, a meal after a match seems to be therapeutic in a way as she prefers having pasts that she made herself, along with chicken, chorizo and a load of veggies such as peas, asparagus and onion.

Beyoncé faces backlash over Juneteenth concert t-shirt: Who were the Buffalo Soldiers and what is the controversy?
A shirt Beyoncé wore during her Juneteenth concert in Paris has earned the singer backlash from fans and Indigenous voices across the US. According to The Associated Press, the T-shirt featured a description of the Buffalo Soldiers that referred to their enemies as 'warring Indians, bandits, cattle thieves, murderous gunmen, bootleggers, trespassers, and Mexican revolutionaries.' That wording appeared on the back of the shirt and Beyoncé's official website. The pop star made history by becoming the first Black woman to top Billboard's country chart. At the 2025 Grammys, the album won Album of the Year. A post from popular Indigenous platform @ summed up the online reaction in one question: 'Do you think Beyoncé will apologize (or acknowledge) the shirt?' Who were Buffalo Soldiers? The Buffalo Soldiers reportedly were Black US Army regiments formed after the Civil War in 1866. They served in major wars through 1951. While many admire their role in US military history, the soldiers also participated in violent campaigns against Indigenous tribes and Mexican groups during America's westward expansion. Critics say the wording on Beyoncé's shirt echoes harmful historical narratives, AP reported. Cale Carter, the museum's director of exhibitions, said earlier versions of the story romanticized the frontier and ignored the harm done to Native peoples. 'You really didn't see a change in that narrative until recently,' he told The Associated Press. Michelle Tovar, the museum's education director, added that honest discussions about American history are becoming harder to have in schools. Tad Stoermer, a historian at Johns Hopkins, believes Beyoncé used imagery like the Buffalo Soldiers to reclaim space in American culture. However, historian Alaina E. Roberts said their legacy is more complicated. FAQs Who were the first Native Americans?
