One of the best investments you can make in content creation is a decent microphone. However, many of the best USB microphones can be expensive, often exceeding what you need to get started. However, the Blue Yeti USB is one of the best starting microphones you can get.
In our review, we praised how easy to use the Blue Yeti is, mainly since it can be used without requiring any additional software. To start using the mic, all you need is a USB connection on your PC or Mac. Even with its ease of use, the Blue Yeti microphone offers stellar sound quality that benefits from being able to switch between Cardioid, Bidirectional, Omnidirectional, and Stereo microphone patterns.
The ability to quickly switch between patterns, each of which changes the microphone's sensitivity to sound waves from specific angles, makes this ideal for those with multiple projects. You'll be able to capture an interview or record your latest stream with a simple turn of the dial.

Beats Headphones Back in Stock on Amazon at Record Low Price, Now Six Times Cheaper Than AirPods Max
Apple-owned brand Beats has built its reputation on delivering quality across its offerings, and the Beats Solo 4 headphones are no exception. This may not be the latest model but it's a regular headphone market mainstay, consistently praised for its good performance and comfort. Right now, Amazon is running a flash sale on the Beats Solo 4, just days after Prime Day, and it offers these wireless on-ear headphones at an all-time low price: For $97, down from the regular $200, you're getting a massive 51% discount. See at Amazon The lack of active noise cancellation or personalized spatial audio might be a drawback for some, but the Bose Solo 4 more than makes up for it with excellent sound and phenomenal battery life. For less than $100, it's hard to think of a better balance of performance, comfort and brand reliability – especially from an institution with Apple's track record. The Solo 4 is designed for seamless compatibility with both Apple and Android devices, which makes it a great choice regardless of your smartphone ecosystem. Pairing is quick and effortless and the connection remains stable thanks to Bluetooth technology. The headphones are lightweight and feature plush ear cushions that provide comfort even during long listening sessions. What's probably most impressive about the Beats Solo 4 is the battery life: A whopping 50 hours of playback on a single charge sees these headphones outlast most in their price range with ease. And if you do find yourself low on battery, a quick charge feature gives you hours of use from minutes of being plugged in so you can stay connected to your tunes throughout the day. Audio performance is another area the Beats Solo 4 is exceptional: The headphones deliver punchy bass, crisp mids, and clear highs that cater to a wide variety of music genres. Whether you listen to hip-hop, rock, or podcasts, you'll appreciate the clarity and depth these headphones provide. The onboard microphone delivers clear voice calls while the earcup controls enable you to manage playback, volume, and call answering. I would walk 500 miles (and I would walk 500 more) in the On Cloud 5 sneaker — and it just hit its lowest price after Prime Day!
Amazon Prime Day is over, but deals are still available on a range of products, including the hugely popular On sneaker range. Right now, you can grab the On Cloud 5 sneaker for $117 at Amazon on selected colors and sizes for a limited time until stocks sell out — that's almost $100 off and the lowest price, even after Prime Day! Remember, the deal varies depending on size and color. Check out the options below to shop. The On Cloud 5 is versatile enough for everyday wear, and looks pretty darn good, too. I'd happily walk the miles in these sneakers, and customers highly rate them for being lightweight, high quality and perfect for long periods of wear. Men's are on sale, too! As a range, On is seriously taking off. I've noticed that many of my clients and others at my classes are opting for these sneakers over the likes of Adidas and Nike these days. And as we are all aware, the cost of living is hardly affordable right now, so any money we can save on our favorite sneakers is a bargain. You'll need to check the sizes and colors for the On Cloud 5, but the payoff could be worth it for a little post-Prime Day discount. The On Cloud 5 is rated as an everyday sneaker, and some happy customers have said it's perfect for long hours of walking or standing, due to its lightweight design and super cushioned collar. I even read that someone transitioned from Brooks to On, which is a huge testament to the shoe's quality. I really love the On design; it's stripped back, and the color palette is simple and understated, making the shoe look stylish and versatile. On includes a removable insole and a patented CloudTec sole with a 7mm heel drop. Zero-Gravity foam provides plenty of cushioning, and the molded heel gives you immediate comfort with zero break-in required. A little touch I like is the speed lacing system, which basically means you can forget tying knots as you're ready to go. On do provide classic laces in the box if you prefer them too. I strongly recommend shopping before this shoe disappears.

Are you worried about the impact of AI on the jobs market? Have your say
UK companies are cutting back on hiring for jobs that are more likely to be disrupted by artificial intelligence (AI), a study has found. The analysis by consultancy firm McKinsey & Co found that the overall number of job postings were down 31% in the three months to May, compared to the same period in 2022, according to a Bloomberg report. However, the drop in postings was found to be the most pronounced in roles expected to be more impacted by the rollout of AI, such as tech or finance. Listings for these roles declined 38% in that three month period, which nearly double the fall found elsewhere. Tera Allas, a senior adviser at McKinsey, reportedly said: "The anticipation of significant – albeit uncertain – future productivity gains, especially as the technology and its applications mature, is prompting companies to review their workforce strategies and pause aspects of their recruitment." Read more: Bank of England could cut interest rates faster if jobs market slows, Bailey says Some major companies have already suggested that their workforce will be impacted by AI. For example, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy recently warned that the rollout of AI across the tech company would likely result in jobs cuts in the coming years. Meanwhile, BT Group (BT-A.L) CEO Allison Kirkby said last month that advances in AI could deepen job cuts already underway at the telecoms company. McKinsey's study comes as data points to a broader slowdown in the UK jobs market. Figures from the Office for National Statistics, released in June, showed that the UK's unemployment rate rose to 4.6% in April, the highest level since July 2021. Meanwhile, an early estimate of payrolled employees for May 2025 fell by 109,000, or 0.4%. In addition, the ONS data showed that the estimated number of vacancies in the UK fell by 63,000 on the quarter, to 736,000 in March to May 2025. Bank of England governor Andrew Bailey said in an interview with The Times, published on Sunday, that the central bank ready to lower interest rates further if the UK job market begins to show clear signs of slowing down. Are you worried about the impact of AI on the jobs market? Vote in the poll below. Yahoo UK's poll of the week lets you vote and indicate your strength of feeling on one of the week's hot topics. After the poll closes, we'll publish and analyse the results each Friday, giving readers the chance to see how polarising a topic has become and if their view chimes with other Yahoo UK readers.
