Dad slammed for fleeing as 7yo son gets kidnapped in broad daylight
The footage obtained by WISN shows little Jamal White riding his bike near his Milwaukee home when a white Jeep circles back and blocks his family's driveway.
In the video, two people jump out of the vehicle and grab the child as his dad, Jamal Sr, sprints inside the house, before coming back outside to slam the trunk of his car in frustration.
'Hell yeah I ran,' the dad later wrote on Facebook as he was ripped for failing to stop and help his seven-year-old son.
'I ran in thinking they tryna rob me not take my damn baby,' he wrote.
Jamal was snatched at 7pm. Friday Milwaukee time, but an amber alert wasn't issued until almost five hours later, WISN noted.
He was eventually found nearly 24 hours later at a house seven miles (11km) from where he was taken — and after his uncle allegedly opened fire at two people during the hunt.
'Yalll slow we both alive n my baby tried to get away like I taught em,' the dad said, suggesting he should be praised for his son surviving his kidnapping.
'God had us the whole time obviously I did right my baby safe!'
Many commenters slammed the dad's actions.
'Your son gone beat on you when he get older and find out what you did buddy,' one user wrote.
'Bro you ran in the house and slammed the door,' a second wrote.
'I mean did you at least jog after the car?' a third asked.
Three people have since been arrested — including the missing boy's 27-year-old uncle, Jamel K. White, who allegedly opened fire at a man and his son during the search, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
He shot at them when they drove past in a car, the docs said, hitting a tree and an abandoned house.
The uncle blamed it on him being scared for his family, the complaint said.
He faces two charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety with a dangerous weapon. He appeared in court on Tuesday, where his bond was set at $20,000 and he was ordered to have no possession of firearms or dangerous weapons, according to court records seen by the outlet.
Two other men were also arrested — a 27-year-old at the house where the boy was snatched from outside, and a 25-year-old at the one he was eventually found in.
Neither was otherwise identified and a motive was not given.

Man in critical condition after police shooting at Townsville shopping centre
A man allegedly wanted for serious crimes has been taken to the hospital in a life-threatening condition after being shot by police in a shopping centre loading dock in north Queensland. It is the second police-involved shooting in the region in a little over a week. Officers were called to Carthew Street in Townsville at around 3.15pm on Sunday following reports that the 31-year-old man had been sighted. Police say the Townsville man was shot at Willows Shopping Centre before being taken by paramedics to Townsville University Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. Townsville District Acting Superintendent Damien Crosby said there was no threat to the community. "The male was wanted for alleged serious criminal offences requiring specialist police attendance," he said. "This is a tragic incident and we pass on our thoughts to all those involved. "Police officers immediately rendered first-aid … before [paramedics] arrived." Police said there were two current crime scenes, including the loading dock where the shooting took place and another location where the man's vehicle was parked. "The male person was well known to police; he confronted police in the loading dock, shots were fired, and the male person was injured," Acting Superintendent Crosby said. "The matter is being investigated by the Ethical Standards Command." Police said they could not comment as to whether the man was armed or provide any further details while the Ethical Standards Command investigation was underway. Investigators are appealing for anyone with information, dashcam footage, or who may have seen anything in the area around Carthew Street to contact police.
