Fourth of July celebrations start bright and early in Boston
Paul Revere, three signers of the Declaration of Independence, and Crispus Attucks, the first colonist killed by British troops during the Boston Massacre, among others, are buried at the site.
The reading of the Declaration, formally known as The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, is slated for 10 a.m. from the balcony of the Old State House at 206 Washington St., the same balcony where the founding document was first read to Bostonians on July 18, 1776.

The Captain Commanding of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts will read the text.
The USS Constitution Museum will be open for tours all day and Old Ironsides will set sail at 10 a.m. for its annual voyage from the Charlestown Navy Yard through Boston Harbor to Castle Island.
The ship will fire a 21-gun salute when it passes Fort Independence on Castle Island at about 11:30 a.m.

At 12:30 p.m., the Middlesex County Volunteers Fife & Drums ensemble will take to the Summer Street Stage in Downtown Crossing for a two-hour concert.
For those set on snagging the best possible seating for the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular at the Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade, it's best to get there bright and early.
The free concert doesn't start until 7 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:40 p.m., but folks have been known to get in line as early as 6 a.m.

Jason Isaacs isn't here for all the muggle back talk. The "Harry Potter" alum, who played Lucius Malfoy in the wizarding drama franchise, weighed in on the controversy surrounding Paapa Essiedu's casting in the upcoming HBO series adaptation of the films. Sting forced to cancel concert over severe weather
Sting has been forced to cancel a concert due to severe weather conditions. On Monday, the British musician took to Instagram to explain that he had cancelled his show in Italy the previous night due to "dangerous" weather conditions. Sting was scheduled to perform in the Parco Ragazzi del '99 park in Bassano del Grappa, a city in north-east Italy, as part of his ongoing Sting 3.0 tour. However, the show was abruptly cancelled due to severe thunderstorm warnings. "The mayor of Bassano del Grappa wisely said it would have been too dangerous for the performance to take place with the possibility of lightning and extremely high winds last night," the 73-year-old wrote in the post. He continued, "The safety of my audience, band and crew is paramount. I promise we will return as soon as we can." The news comes weeks after the Every Breath You Take singer was forced to delay one of his shows in the U.K. after The Christians' drummer, Lionel Duke, suffered a cardiac arrest on stage. The incident occurred while the band was opening for Sting in Liverpool, England. Following the collapse, a privacy screen was erected on stage, and medics attended to Lionel. Sting, real name Gordon Sumner, later addressed the audience, stating that the drummer was recovering in the hospital. Sting kicked off his tour on 25 May 2024 and is set to perform in Rome, Italy on Monday, followed by a performance in Udine on Wednesday.
