Race-by-race preview and tips for Thursday meeting at Wyong
RACE 1
3. Twinkling Star missed narrowly in two provincial runs before being turned out for five weeks. Was strong through the line in a recent and good class Randwick trial, and with first use of the inside draw she rates clear on top. 2. Satin Sparkle can improve third-up back in provincial company, although up sharply in weight for a drop in depth. 6. Our Jewel ran home well when resuming in a deeper field at Gosford, and is an improver. 7. Celtic Sin resumes off two improving trials from a handy draw.
How to play it: Twinkling Star to win
RACE 2
1. Limburg is a talented four-year-old by Justify resuming for his first run for the Joe Pride stable. Was close up in three game efforts in Melbourne and Sydney last prep against deeper opposition when hard in the market before being turned out. Drawn to hit the ground running here, with blinkers coming off. 5. Carnegie Hill emerges as the big threat resuming off three trials, with a 1.5kg claimer booked to ride and the blinkers back on. Gap to the rest headed by 2. Space Ace also resuming behind two trials, while at much bigger odds, home tracker 6. Matete second-up can add value into trifecta and first four plays.
How to play it: Limburg to win
RACE 3
7. Ninette is a talented filly who held her ground okay on debut behind a smart winner at Canterbury, and this looks a lovely follow-up assignment back against provincial opposition carrying half a kilo less. 1. Apollo Ridge fought on strongly when only beaten a long neck first-up at this track, and the more the track dries out, the better placed he is. Big watch at good odds on 6. Indefensible resuming for only her third start off two forward trials, and drawn to get a handy run. 3. Justice Warrior is over the odds third-up for a prominent local stable after beating all bar the winner in two runs back. 8. Oakfield Universe drawn inside for her second start is a clear improver and the best of the rest.
How to play it: Ninette to win
RACE 4
2. Formal is progressive, and finished less than a length from the winner in two runs back from a freshen-up. Drawn to sit right behind the speed, and gets in well at the weights after the jockey's 2kg claim. 3. La Signora Dane shoots for a third straight win stepping up in quality, and can run the quinella. 4. Wingardium is a sparingly raced mare coming back a level at the right time; while 5. Mr Trackside is very fit and honest and the best of the rest.
How to play it: Formal to win

Snowden hoping Canterbury meeting a final midweek outing for promising pair
Trainer Peter Snowden says there's potential in lightly raced fillies Amreekiyah and La Roja as they kick off fresh campaigns at Canterbury today and would like to think it's the last time they'll appear at a midweek meeting. Amreekiyah is unbeaten in two provincial starts and makes her city debut in the Broadsiding @ Darley Handicap (1250m) on the back of a barrier trial win at Hawkesbury. Snowden said he's seen a good level of improvement in the Justify filly since her all-the-way win at Newcastle back in March. 'She's grown, bigger and stronger all over,' he said. 'She changed a lot last prep, but she's grown up again. She did need to furnish a bit. I'm glad we stopped when we did because she's certainly benefited.' While Snowden is confident Amreekiyah has taken the steps he wanted to see since her first campaign, he's a little cautious ahead of a first-up run. That has nothing to do with her potential, given she's by Justify and a half-sister to 2000m group 2 winner Yaletown he says there's scope for her to reach a middle distance. 'She's a quality filly, and she'll be better again when she gets out over a mile and probably further,' he said. 'It could be a little short for her, but she's still very fresh and early in her prep. We have a good draw there, so I'd be expecting her to run well.'

Via Sistina, Fangirl and more headline star-studded Randwick trials
The build up to Via Sistina's spring campaign is well and truly underway, with the nine-time Group 1 winner blowing out some cobwebs in a star-studded Randwick trial on Tuesday. It was Via Sistina 's first public appearance since claiming the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) on Day 2 of The Championships and she wasn't out there to break any records. Star stablemate Fangirl was also present in the 850m hit out and both were given quiet trials as Chris Waller aims them towards the Group 1 Winx Stakes (1400m) at Randwick next month. 'The 23rd of August they will be racing … if everything goes to plan,' Waller said. 'We allow an extra week just in case for a temperature or sore foot and things like that. 'Nine times out of 10 you need it and sometimes you will see them have an exhibition gallop if they haven't had a problem. 'It's just about being careful. You are a month away so you can imagine how much fitness is going to be done in the next month.' 1⃣ The Novelist 2⃣ More Territories 3⃣ Full Count Felicia The @GaiWaterhouse1 & Adrian Bott gelding too speedy in an 850m Kensington trial on Tuesday - behind them were Extractor, Zardozi, Tom Kitten, Fangirl and Via Sistina. @tabcomau — Racing NSW (@racing_nsw) July 21, 2025 The Novelist won the 850m hit out in a time of 51.48 seconds, covering the final 600m in 33.67s. Godolphin's Tom Kitten and Zardozi also featured in the trial – their final time heading to the races under the James Cummings banner. The second heat of the morning also featured a handful of Waller's spring brigade with Autumn Glow, Wodeton, Aeliana and Lazzura returning. The unbeaten Autumn Glow settled up on the pace and finished third in the 850m hit out, won by Palmetto in 51.20s. The last 600m was covered in 33.69s. 1⃣ Palmetto 2⃣ Beiwacht 3⃣ Autumn Glow Basically all the way for @jsargentracing 's Canberra Cup winner in the second 850m Kensington trial on Tuesday - also in this heat Manaal, Pericles, Wodeton, Lazzura and Aeliana. @tabcomau — Racing NSW (@racing_nsw) July 21, 2025 • Autumn Glow is headed towards the Group 1 Epsom Handicap, for which she's rated the $3.50 favourite in futures betting. 'She would resume in one of the sprint handicaps or set weight fillies and mares races to get to the Epsom third-up,' Waller said. Meanwhile, Waller has the Group 1 Golden Rose circled on the calendar for Wodeton, with that run to decide the rest of his spring campaign. 'He (Wodeton) looks like he has come back really well and we will go to the Golden Rose. 'Then it will be Coolmore or (Caulfield) Guineas but I think 1400m will suit him better. 'He will be ready to go before the Run To The Rose. 'We could run two or three weeks before, being up this early 'But because he went out after the Golden Slipper, they actually had a long break so he is up ready to go.' Nepotism at $4.
