Call it Party of Five meets Virgin River. And mark your calendars for season two of My Life with the Walter Boys, which drops on Thursday, August 28. The announcement was made by the show's stars, Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, and Ashby Gentry, at the Calgary Stampede, an annual rodeo, exhibition, and festival held every July in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The scoop: Looking to capitalize on the success of the sudsy Virgin River with an eye on the younger demographics, My Life with the Walter Boys, based on Ali Novak's 2014 novel of the same name, follows recently orphaned Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez), a teenage girl from Manhattan who relocates to rural Colorado after she is taken in by the Walters, a family of eight children - seven sons and one daughter. The series was developed by Melanie Halsall.
There Jackie finds herself attracted to two of the Walter boys. The first is Noah Lalonde as the hunky 'rebel without a cause' Cole Walter, the fraternal twin of Danny (Connor Stanhope) who used to be quarterback at Silver Falls High School but suffered from a career-ending injury. Then there is Ashby Gentry as Alex Walter, the more bookish type who also pines for Jackie.

By the end of season one, Jackie decides to leave for New York, and away from this lingering love triangle. After a kiss with Cole, leaves a note for Alex and departs with her uncle, leaving viewers to wonder about her future with the Walter boys. Will she return? Will Cole or Alex go after her? Will the brothers mend their broken fences?
Inquiring fans (including this 60+ writer who is not the target audience) want to know, and we will start getting answers by summer end! More good news: My Life with the Walter Boys is already renewed for season three in 2026. So, there will be plenty of emotional mishegoss (translation: craziness, foolishness, or nonsensical behavior) to keep us hungry for more.

Presumed Innocent season 2: everything we know so far about the Apple TV+ show's return

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Presumed Innocent season 2: key information - Renewed in July 2024- Rachel Brosnahan cast as lead star- Jake Gyllenhaal to return as executive producer- Release date currently unknown- Plot to follow Jo Murray's Dissection of a Murder- No official trailer yet Presumed Innocent season 2 is on the way, which is not surprising given the prodigious success of Apple TV+'s dark and twisting adaptation of the Scott Turow novel of the same name. And while viewers had yet to find out whether Rusty Sabich (Jake Gyllenhaal) did or didn't murder his mistress, it seems they never will. A new lead star has been cast with a whole new plot to follow. So, there's plenty to talk about that doesn't concern Rusty at all. It's one of the best Apple TV+ shows and as we look ahead to what season 2 has to offer for this gripping procedural drama before it returns to one of the best streaming services. Here's what we can expect from release date, plot details, confirmed cast, trailer speculation and more. There's no Presumed Innocent season 2 release date just yet, but with the official renewal from Apple TV+ happening back in July 2024, it doesn't feel too far away. I'd predict we'll be seeing season 2 around early 2026, but I'll be sure to update here as soon as I hear any news. Unfortunately, it's not going to take a district attorney to work out that a Presumed Innocent season 2 trailer won't be expected until a few weeks before the show drops on Apple TV+. But, I'll post it here when it does. Full spoilers to follow for Presumed Innocent season 1. The only confirmed Presumed Innocent cast member so far is Rachel Brosnahan as Leila Reynolds. In June, it was officially revealed by Apple TV that she would be taking on the lead role for season 2. Despite Gyllenhaal playing the lead in this series, it seems very unlikely that he'll return as Rusty for season 2 given there will be an entirely new storyline (more on this below). But, he will be staying on as an executive producer alongside David E. Kelley, J.J. Abrams and Scott Turrow. And while Peter Sarsgaard played Tommy Molto in season 1, he was very clear about his position on returning for season 2, as reported by IndieWire: 'I'm not really that interested in sequels. I think I've only ever done one season of anything… I think I'm a one-season person.' That doesn't mean there can't be any crossover though, as Deadline revealed: "There had been an idea for a character or two from Season 1 to carry over for continuity in the vein of HBO's The White Lotus; it is unclear whether that is still a possibility". Though reps from Apple TV+ and WBTV declined to comment. As discussed in the cast section, Presumed Innocent season 2 will be based on an entirely new source material. While Scott Turrow is on board as co-executive producer, it won't be another of his books that season 2 will follow. Instead, it has been confirmed that it will be based on the debut legal thriller Dissection of a Murder by Jo Murray. And that is, in part, due to the fact there was no clear path for season 2. As per the Pan Macmillan's official synopsis, we have a great insight into the plot: "When Leila Reynolds is handed her first murder case, she's shocked at how high-profile it is: the murder of a well-respected, well-known judge. "This shouldn't be the kind of case she's leading; it's way beyond her expertise. But the defendant, Jack Millman, is clear. He wants her, and only her. "To make things worse, he's refusing to talk. How is she supposed to prove herself on what appears to be an unwinnable case?" Oh, and Deadline also revealed that the prosecutor in Leila's case is also her husband. Adding: "Things are still in flux but Dissection of a Murder is expected to serve as inspiration for the second season of what is shaping up to be a true anthology series." There's no news of any future seasons of Presumed Innocent, but that shouldn't come as a shock since there's not even a season 2 release date yet. What we do know is that the popular Apple TV+ drama is shaping up to become an anthology series, which does create a much wider scope for any future seasons and their subsequent plots. As always, I imagine it'll depend on the success of season 2 before a decision is made around more. But, since season 2 was renewed two weeks before season 1 concluded, there's every hope that there'll be more to come. How to watch the Superman movies in order: the ultimate guide to streaming the Man of Steel's films (chronological, release date, and more)

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Working out how to watch the Superman movies in order doesn't need to be your Kryptonite. In fact, with my help, you'll be on your way to watching the Man of Steel's various big-screen outings in no time. Indeed, this guide is your one-stop shop for finding out how to stream the Superman films in the order of your choosing. Below, I've outlined the two best ways to watch them – those being chronological order and release date order – and which one you should stick to if you're a Superman newbie. That's not all you'll learn about. There's also information on which of the world's best streaming services they're available on, and what Superman movies are the best (based on their Rotten Tomatoes scores). So, throw on your blue spandex and red cape, and let's take flight together. This is a really easy question to answer. In short, it doesn't matter whether you watch the Superman movies in order of chronology or by their release dates. How come? Unlike the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the now-defunct DC Extended Universe (DCEU), whose movies and TV shows have different orders depending on whether you watch them chronologically or in release date order, the Superman films don't jump around. That's because there's no weird timeline shenanigans that mean you have to, say, watch 2013's Man of Steel before Christopher Reeve's first outing as Clarke Kent/Kal-El in 1978's Superman. No matter which method you pick, then, the Superman movies – which are also part of our much larger DC movies in order guide – are arranged in the exact same sequence. The only thing you need to be aware of is which era each of the Kryptonian's big-screen adventures are a part of. Speaking of which... Want to know how to watch the Superman movies in order of chronology? Here's how. As I previously outlined, it's not difficult to work out how to stream them in chronological order. All you need to know is that I've categorized the Man of Tomorrow's various live-action films via the actor who played them at the time. For example, Christopher Reeve portrayed one of DC Comics' most iconic heroes first, so I've grouped his four outings as Superman together. The same is true of the other actors – Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill – who've played him, too. Once James Gunn's Superman movie, which officially kickstarts the rebooted DC Universe (DCU) when it arrives in theaters in mid-July, I'll add the David Corenswet era below, too. For now, here's how to watch the Superman movies in chronological order: The Christopher Reeve era Superman: The Movie (1978) Superman II (1981) Superman III (183) Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) The Brandon Routh era Superman Returns (2006) The Henry Cavill era Man of Steel (2013) Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) Justice League (2017) / Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) Interested in streaming the Superman movies in release date order instead? This is the only guide you need. Again, it's not a difficult process to follow. Rather than round up the Man of Steel flicks into groups based on the actor who played them, they're simply listed in the order of the year they were released. So, 1978's Superman film is the first one you need to check out. Until its namesake Superman – aka one of 2025's most anticipated new movies – arrives, the Kryptonian's most recent movie appearance came in 2021's Zack Snyder's Justice League. Superman: The Movie (1978) Superman II (1981) Superman III (183) Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) Superman Returns (2006) Man of Steel (2013) Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) Justice League (2017) / Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) Now that you've learned how to watch the Superman movies in order, you'll need to know where you can stream them. Here's where fans in the US, UK, and Australia can currently watch them without having to rent or buy (NB: viewers in other nations can head to to find out where they're available where you live): Superman (1978) – Max (US), Sky/Now TV (UK), N/A (Australia) Superman II (1981) – Max (US), Sky/Now TV (UK), iView (Australia) Superman III (1983) – Max (US), Sky/Now TV (UK), iView (Australia) Superman IV: The Quest For Peace (1987) – Max (US), Sky/Now TV (UK), iView (Australia) Superman Returns (2006) – Max (US), Sky/Now TV (UK), N/A (Australia) Man of Steel (2013) – Max (US), Sky/Now TV (UK), Binge/Prime Video (Australia) Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) – Max (US), Sky (UK), Netflix/Binge/Prime Video (Australia) Justice League (2017) – Max (US), Now TV (UK), Binge/Prime Video (Australia) Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) – Max (US), N/A (UK), N/A (Australia) As supremely popular as Superman is, he's not exactly received his fair share of top-tier films. In fact, there's only one that's good enough to appear on my best superhero movies guide. Maybe Gunn's Superman, the first movie to be released as part of DCU Chapter One, aka Gods and Monsters, will change that. For now, this is how you could watch the Superman movies in order if you streamed them based on their Rotten Tomatoes scores. I've listed them in the order of their critical ratings first, but I've also included their general audience scores to give you a better idea of how ordinary cinemagoers perceive them. Superman: The Movie – 93% / 86% Superman II – 82% / 76% Superman Returns – 74% / 60% Zack Snyder's Justice League – 71% / 92% Man of Steel – 57% / 75% Justice League – 39% / 67% Superman III – 29% / 23% Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – 28% / 63% Superman IV: The Quest for Peace – 10% / 16% For more entertainment-based content, read our other 'how to' guides, including how to watch the Marvel movies in order, how to watch the Spider-Man movies in order, how to watch the X-Men movies in order, and how to watch the Batman movies in order.
