'Trump is Netanyahu's puppet': Elmo's X account hacked in shocking political, anti-Semitic tirade
The breach led to the dissemination of offensive, politically charged, and anti-Semitic remarks.
The malicious posts included antisemitic remarks, explicit demands for the release of alleged Jeffrey Epstein files, and comments targeting US President Donald Trump.
One tweet from the compromised account explicitly stated: "Elmo says ALL JEWS SHOULD D**. F**K JEWS. JEWS CONTROL THE WORLD AND NEED TO BE EX**********" .
Another message read: "Donald Trump is Netanyahu's puppet because he is in the Epstein files," and a further post demanded: "RELEASE THE FILES @realDonaldTrump CHILD F****R" .
Sesame Workshop, the organization behind "Sesame Street," swiftly confirmed the breach, stating, "Elmo's X account was compromised today by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts. We are working to restore full control of the account".
The hacker's specific demand for "Epstein files" taps into a persistent discussion in the United States, despite federal agents, including the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), having "debunked the idea" that an "Epstein client list" exists.
This narrative has continued to circulate, with pro-Trump social media influencers and conservative media personalities referencing "The Epstein Files", most recently by Tucker Carlson.
Trump himself has publicly addressed the issue, defending Attorney General Pam Bondi's performance regarding the files .

Trump administration to burn food meant for 1.5 million children
The Trump administration has ordered the destruction of nearly 500 metric tons of emergency food rather than sending it to starving populations abroad, according to a report by The Atlantic. The stockpile, enough to feed an estimated 1.5 million children for a week, is set to expire, with plans already in place to burn it in the coming weeks. The high-energy biscuits, purchased by USAID during the final months of the Biden administration at a cost of roughly USD 800,000, were intended for children in Afghanistan and Pakistan. These rations are designed to meet the full nutritional needs of children under five in disaster or war zones and are often used by the World Food Programme (WFP) as an immediate measure to support displaced families. The biscuits were stored in a Dubai warehouse, awaiting distribution, but have been stuck there since January, when the Trump administration halted nearly all US foreign aid through an executive order. Career USAID staff repeatedly requested permission to ship the food before it spoiled, but according to two USAID employees, their memos went unanswered. Decision-making authority was placed in the hands of political appointees after the dismantling of USAID by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Initially, approval rested with Pete Marocco, a Trump-era official, and later with Jeremy Lewin, a young lawyer now overseeing both USAID and State Department aid operations. Neither provided authorization to move the food, aid workers said. The destruction order directly contradicts public assurances from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who told Congress in May that he would ensure food reached its intended recipients before expiring. By that time, however, the incineration order had already been signed. Taxpayers will now foot an additional USD 130,000 bill to destroy the biscuits. 'This is unprecedented,' said one longtime USAID worker, noting that typical food losses due to conflict or poor storage amount to only a few dozen tons a year. The loss comes as global hunger surges. The WFP has warned that 58 million people face extreme hunger this year, while in Afghanistan, only one in 10 people in urgent need receives food aid. According to one USAID employee's calculations, the biscuits slated for destruction could have fed every child facing acute food insecurity in Gaza for a full week. The biscuits are part of a wider backlog. USAID records show more than 60,000 metric tons of food remain stuck in warehouses worldwide, including 36,000 pounds of peas, oil, and cereal stored in Djibouti for Sudan and the Horn of Africa. With many supply-chain experts and humanitarian workers laid off, even food that has not yet expired risks meeting the same fate.

Legal expert outlines repercussions for Muslim Brotherhood financial scheme in Jordan
In the ongoing investigation by Jordanian authorities into the Muslim Brotherhood's illegal activities in Jordan, legal expert and former Minister of State for Legal Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Kharabsheh, stated that the group is 'fundamentally illegal,' a status affirmed by an earlier and definitive Court of Cassation ruling, the highest legal court in Jordan. Speaking to Roya, Al-Kharabsheh explained that the banned group allegedly used millions of dinars in illicit activities, with around 30 million dinars collected through various suspicious methods. This included registering funds in the names of individual members through direct ownership or company shares. Investigations have revealed that some of these funds were used to finance suspicious campaigns in 2020, as well as support activities and cells that have since been apprehended and referred to the judiciary. Al-Kharabsheh noted that authorities seized approximately 4 million dinars that an individual attempted to hide in a home north of Amman. He added that these collected funds, mostly gathered from citizens, were purportedly intended for Gaza. Expected Legal Consequences and Implications Regarding legal consequences, Al-Kharabsheh emphasized that the group is completely unlicensed and its existence is illegal. He anticipates that the judiciary will issue just rulings against the group, which exploited unofficial circumstances to violate the law. He highlighted that operations were conducted secretly, involving the transfer of funds abroad via currency exchange shops and investments in apartment purchases, among other methods. Al-Kharabsheh expects several laws to be applied against the group, including the Associations Law (which penalizes illegal fundraising), the Anti-Illicit Enrichment Law, the Anti-Money Laundering Law, and the Penal Code, which punishes such illegal activities. Concerning the potential impact on the Islamic Action Front Party, Al-Kharabsheh indicated that investigations revealed the banned group used the party's premises to cover its activities. Should a connection between the banned group and the party be proven, the Independent Election Commission would take appropriate legal action under the Political Parties Law.
