Hera Pheri 3 director Priyadarshan reacts to Paresh Rawal joining film again: 'There was a difference of opinion...'
Priyadarshan says he doesn't believe in the politics of cinema
In an interview with HT City, Priyadarshan opened up about things getting back into their place and moving positively. Reacting to the recent development about Paresh joining Hera Pheri 3 as Baburao, Priyadarshan said, 'I am living in South India, whenever a film is signed, I will go to shoot it. I am only committed to Akshay Kumar to do this film (as a maker), I don't know anybody else."
The director went on to add that he didn't comment on the fiasco as he dislikes the politics of cinema. 'Suniel, Akshay, and Paresh are my best friends. There was a difference of opinion between them that has been sorted out. This is all I know. I don't think anybody else is involved in it,' Priyadarshan told the portal.
Priyadarshan addresses Firoz Nadiadwala's claim that his brother Sajid helped resolve the issue
In the same interview, the 68-year-old also remarked that the three actors discussed the matter among themselves and agreed to do the film. Although he didn't name anyone, the Hera Pheri director likely addressed Firoz Nadiadwala's claim that his brother helped Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh resolve the issue.
'Somebody is saying so and so is involved, but there's nothing. To the best of my knowledge, the three actors decided to do the film and informed me,' Priyadarshan concluded.
When asked about when Hera Pheri 3 will finally go on the floors, the veteran filmmaker explained that he recently wrapped up Bhoot Bangla. There's a possibility that the upcoming installment of Hera Pheri will start full-fledged filming from next year.

Setback for Saif & family over 15,000 crore ancestral property as HC orders retrial
Saif Ali Khan (PTI photo) JABALPUR: In a setback to actor Saif Ali Khan and his family, who inherited Rs 15,000 crore properties owned by Bhopal's erstwhile rulers, Madhya Pradesh HC has set aside the trial court's verdict given over two decades ago, and ordered a retrial in the case. In its order passed on June 30, the single bench of HC of Justice Sanjay Dwivedi set aside the judgment and decree of the trial court which upheld Pataudis (Saif Ali Khan, his mother Sharmila Tagore and his two sisters Soha and Saba) to be the owners of the properties. It also directed the trial court to make all possible efforts to conclude and decide the matter within one year. Nawab Hamidullah was the last ruling Nawab of the princely state of Bhopal. He and his wife Maimoona Sultan had three daughters - Abida, Sajida and Rabia. Sajida married Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi and became the Nawab Begum of Bhopal. Their son, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, former Indian cricket team skipper married Sharmila Tagore. After Nawab Hamidullah's eldest daughter Abida migrated to Pakistan, Sajida became the owner of the properties. Later, her son Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi (Tiger Pataudi, who married Sharmila Tagore) became the successor of these properties estimated to be valued at nearly Rs 15,000 crore, which were inherited by Saif Ali and his siblings. In their pleas, they stated that the Bhopal district court's judgment and decree dated Feb 14, 2000 dismissed their suits unfairly. Their lawyers pleaded that the partition of his (Nawab's) personal property should have been done between them and defendants Saif Ali, Sharmila and 16 other heirs as per the Muslim Personal Law. The appellants opposed the defendants (Pataudis) for citing the certificate issued by the Govt of India on Jan 10, 1962 in favour of Sajida Begum as the sole successor of all the private properties. Justice Dwivedi said, "The matters are remanded back to the trial court for deciding it afresh." "And if so required, the trial court can allow the parties to lead further evidence in view of the subsequent development and changed legal position," the court ordered.

Filmistan Studios sold for Rs 183 crore, AICWA urges Devendra Fadnavis to stop redevelopment into luxury towers: 'Save the livelihoods of lakhs of workers'
Filmistan Studios, one of Mumbai's oldest and most iconic film studios, has been officially sold to Arkade Developers for Rs 183 crore. The transaction was registered on July 3, marking the end of an era for a studio that helped shape the golden age of Hindi cinema. Once a thriving base for actors, technicians, and production houses, the Goregaon West property is now set to be redeveloped into ultra-luxury residential towers. Founded in 1943 by Sasadhar Mukherjee, grandfather to Kajol and Rani Mukerji , along with actor Ashok Kumar, Gyan Mukherjee, and Rai Bahadur Chunilal, Filmistan Studios emerged from a split with Bombay Talkies and quickly became a cornerstone of Hindi filmmaking. Back in the day, studios like Filmistan weren't just shooting spaces, they were full-fledged production houses employing actors and crew on monthly salaries. AICWA urges Devendra Fadnavis to intervene In the wake of the acquisition, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has written an open letter to Maharashtra's CM Devendra Fadnavis, urging him to halt the demolition and protect what they call a 'symbol of cinematic legacy.' The association has called for a Government Resolution (G.R.) to preserve the studio as a public cultural asset. 'Filmistan Studio... by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Dommershausen: Gutes Hören sucht 700 Testhörer für Hörgeräte ohne Zuzahlung Gutes Hören Undo has been a workplace for lakhs of technicians, artists, junior artists, and workers… It is not just a physical structure; it is a symbol of cinematic legacy and the sweat and hard work of the working class behind the camera,' the AICWA letter read. Dharmesh Yelande Spotted At Filmistan Studio The association further warned that the loss of Filmistan, and other heritage studios at risk, would severely impact employment opportunities for daily wage workers, technicians, and artists who form the backbone of the entertainment industry. 'This is not just a fight to save land—it is a fight to protect dignity, heritage, and the livelihood of the backbone of our industry. Filmistan Studio was built with the blood, sweat, and dedication of workers... Unfortunately, the current owners have chosen profit over people.' Filmistan Studios to be turned into luxury towers Following the acquisition, Arkade Developers announced plans to redevelop the four-acre SV Road plot into a high-end residential project. The project will reportedly feature 3, 4, and 5 BHK residences and exclusive penthouses across two 50-storey towers. With a projected gross development value of Rs 3,000 crore, the project is slated for a tentative launch in 2026. Known for its sound stages, outdoor sets, and central location, Filmistan was once a go-to destination for Bollywood films, television shows, and ad shoots. However, with newer, tech-equipped studios sprouting across the city, Filmistan gradually fell out of favour.
