3 men investigated over missing girl, 15 — including one trying to meet her while sharing sick sex chats: affidavit
Alisa Petrov, 15, from South Jordan, was reported missing on April 21, two days after her final message to a 41-year-old man with whom she had been having a series of sexual conversations, according to an affidavit obtained by KSL TV.
'I'M RUNNING AWAY. Please don't contact me,' Petrov wrote on April 19 at 12:34 a.m. in a message to the unnamed man from Herriman, Utah, whom she met on Discord, the report said.

Their chats had become increasingly sexual, including discussions about condoms and sex games, as well as planning to meet in person, according to the affidavit.

The man has not yet been charged, but the unsealed search warrant outlines probable cause for a search of his home and phone, citing evidence of possible enticement and exploitation of a minor, KSL reports.

Messages were discovered on Petrov's iPad, which she left behind in her bedroom.
She had shared her Snapchat username with him, and some messages may have been deleted, according to the warrant.

William Taylor Glines, 37, is in custody in Texas, while a second suspect, Matthew Nicholas Menard, 35, of Florida, still hadn't been located as of Wednesday.

Judge rejects request to suppress Google search information from Cohasset man who allegedly killed, dismembered wife
Walshe pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, disinterring a body, and lying to investigators in connection with the Jan. 1, 2023 slaying of his wife, On New Year's Eve 2022, the couple hosted Ana Walshe's former employer at their house, who left around 1:30 a.m., officials have said. Brian and Ana Walshe were in a good mood and everyone enjoyed themselves, the guest said. By 4:50 a.m., authorities allege, Ana Walshe, 39, was dead, and the disturbing Google searches started. They included 'how to embalm a body,' '10 ways to dispose of a dead body if you really need to,' 'how to stop a body from decomposing,' and 'how long before a body starts to smell.' They were made between 4:55 a.m. and 5:47 a.m. on New Year's Day, prosecutors said. In court papers last month, Walshe's lawyers said he and his prior counsel, Tracy Miner, had reached an agreement on Jan. 6, 2023, allowing authorities to conduct 'a limited search' of Walshe's iPhone and his son's iPad. Walshe's lawyers said the agreement covered 'all communications' between Dec. 25, 2022, and Jan. 6, 2023, the date the electronics were turned over. According to the memo, State Police began a forensic search of the devices on the night of Jan. 6, 2023, and continued into the early hours of Jan. 7. He also allegedly disposed her remains in dumpsters at apartment complexes in Abington and Brockton. Police also allegedly found blood in the basement of the couple's home. Inside, they found a COVID vaccination card for Ana Walshe, a Hermes watch, and clothing Ana Walshe was known to wear, according to prosecutors. Forensic testing showed her DNA on items found in the dumpster, prosecutors said. While Brian Walshe failed in his bid to get the Google searches suppressed, he did succeed in getting additional evidence tossed. On Friday, Freniere granted Walshe's request to suppress evidence gleaned from separate search warrants related to a 'GPS install on a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle' with Mass. plates, as well as 'Verizon Records of Cell Phone Number 617-939-8646 insofar it authorized ... location data obtained for December 30, 2022 and December 31, 2022,' records show. City commissioner in Florida asked 12-year-old Illinois girl for nudes, cops say
An elected official in Florida is facing two dozen felony charges after a mom in Illinois reported he had been sexting her 12-year-old daughter over Snapchat, authorities said. St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro Jr. announced July 24 that law enforcement conducted a traffic stop on Fort Pierce City Commissioner James Taylor, 38, and took him into custody. His arrest marks the culmination of a nearly yearlong investigation that began in August 2024 when the victim's mom filed a report with the Evanston Police Department, the sheriff said in a news conference. The mom of the now-13-year-old girl said a man had been inappropriately contacting her daughter over Snapchat beginning when she was 12, according to investigators. He sent her nude images of himself and asked her to do the same, Del Toro said. This went on for a couple months, investigators said. Detectives in Illinois traced the messages to a person in St. Lucie County and contacted the sheriff's office, which confirmed the suspect's IP address belonged to Taylor, the sheriff said. Investigators don't believe Taylor and the girl ever met in person. Taylor was pulled over during a traffic stop involving a 'ruse,' and was cooperating with detectives, according to the sheriff. 'I would say that he admitted his role in these and was very remorseful, obviously, I think mainly because he was caught,' Del Toro said. Taylor was elected Fort Pierce's District 2 commissioner in 2024 after serving on the county's planning and zoning commission for nearly a decade, according to his commissioner biography. He's involved in several local organizations, including the county's education board and theater advisory board. 'The City of Fort Pierce is aware of the recent arrest of Commissioner James Taylor,' a spokesperson for the city told McClatchy News in an email. 'We understand that this development may raise concerns within our community, and we want to reassure our residents that we remain committed to serving the public with integrity, transparency and accountability.' The 24 charges against Taylor include: transmission of materials harmful to minors by electronic equipmenttransfer or display of obscenity to a minorharmful communication to a minorlewd computer solicitationlewd computer solicitation of a child solicitation of transmission of child pornography by electronic device or equipment. Law enforcement officers are investigating whether there could be additional victims and ask anyone with information to come forward. Fort Pierce is about a 65-mile drive north from West Palm Beach.
