Boxing legend dad Chris Eubank Sr lost his own brother, Simon, in 2023 and claimed boxing "killed him".

Chris Eubank Sr - Dad
One of the most recognisable people in boxing, Eubank, 58, enjoyed a 13-year professional career in which he held the world middleweight and super-middleweight titles between 1990 and 1995.
BoxRec even rank him as the third-best British super-middleweight boxer of all time, retiring with a record of 45-5-2 after three straight defeats to end his career.

Sebastian Eubank - Brother
Following in his father's footsteps, Sebastian also took up boxing, but tragically passed away in 2021 aged just 29.
His widow, Salma Abdelati, later revealed he suffered a "massive heart attack", caused by a pre-existing condition the family were unaware of.
At the time, Jr shared a touching message on Instagram - complete with pics of of him with his younger sibling - saying: "My brother was a special man… a righteous man… who always put others before himself.
"A man of many talents, boxing, MMA, poetry, music, coaching, cooking the list goes on but the most important thing to him was helping others less fortunate than himself & that's what I admired most about him.

"I haven't cried since I was 12 years old… yesterday I cried the whole day. I'm sorry I wasn't there to watch your back like a big brother's supposed to.
"Can't believe you're really gone man but you'll always be in my heart, mind & spirit & now your legacy will live on through your beautiful new born son & I will treat him like my own."
Sebastian's death hit the Eubank family hard and Jr admitted it had only further pushed him and his dad apart.
Jr claimed: "With my brother passing away, that affected him in a deep way — affected all of us — mental health is a real thing.

'That incident, coupled with the fact that we were already not seeing eye to eye, destroyed a large part of the relationship and it still hasn't recovered."

Emily Eubank - Sister
The 31 year old is somewhat controversially in a relationship with Frank Smith - CEO of Matchroom and, therefore, Benn's promoter.
The couple have officially been together since November 2016 having met a year earlier at Chris Jr's fight with Tony Jeter.
So, ahead of this fight, Emily will certainly have split loyalties.
Smith even admitted she once called him an "a**hole" and revealed he has to be careful what he says on the phone.

He told
"And trying to get the fight over the line was the point where I probably got in the most trouble.
"I had to say things I'd say any other time, but obviously my missus is next door listening to me calling me an a**hole.
"Sometimes I have to say 'wait a minute I've just got to leave the room' or be like 'right, Emily's in the car so I can't talk yet.'

"This is a fight that obviously means so much because of the history, but for me I'm probably a bit too close to it to be honest."

Simon Eubank - Uncle
Chris Sr's brother, Simon, was also a professional boxer - although managed just seven wins and 20 defeats in his career.

He was a super-welterweight who enjoyed a good start to his time in the ring, winning four of his first five fights, before going on a run of just one win in 13 across three years.
He tragically passed away aged 61 in September 2023.
Ahead of Saturday's fight, Chris Sr told SunSport: "I don't want my son getting down to 160lbs. And that is why I have spoken about people trying to murder my boy by boiling him down to 157lbs.
'Trying to boil my son down to 157lbs a few years ago, would have killed him.

'Simon saved my life once. He is the one who truly loved me and that is why I recited Corinthians 1:13 at his funeral.

‘What is appropriate?' – Arne Slot opens up on coping with Diogo Jota tragedy and his advice to heartbroken Reds squad
ARNE SLOT admits nothing seems to be important at Liverpool following the death of striker Diogo Jota. The champions return to action at Preston this afternoon, still mourning the loss of their Portuguese international forward ten days ago. 7 Slot and Liverpool have been paying their respects to Jota, who tragically passed away Credit: PA 7 The news of the tragic passing of Jota and his brother Andre is yet to make sense to anyone Credit: Getty 7 Liverpool have decided to retire the number 20 at the club Credit: Shutterstock Editorial Jota, 28, and his brother Andre were killed in a car accident in Spain as they began their journey back to England for pre-season training. Slot has spoken for the first time since the devastating news and says the club has to find a way to move on and start focussing on football again. For now, he has told his players to be themselves as they come to terms with the sudden loss of their popular team-mate. The Anfield boss said: 'Nothing seems to be important if we think of what has happened. READ MORE FOOTBALL NEWS 'But we are a football club and we need to train and we need to play again, if we want it or not. 'What I've said to the players, I can say it here as well. It's very difficult to find the right words because we constantly debate what is appropriate. 'What is appropriate in our actions? What is appropriate for what we have to say? Can we train again? Can we laugh again? Can we be angry if there's a wrong decision? 'And I've said to them, maybe the best thing for us to do is handle this situation like Jota was. And what I meant with that is that Jota was always himself. Most read in Football Diogo Jota's classy act of humility left me and my U13s team stunned - he was a credit to his family and football 'It didn't matter if he was talking to me, to his teammates, to the staff, he was always himself. 'So let us try to be ourselves as well. So, if we want to laugh we laugh, if we want to cry we're going to cry. 'If they want to train they can train, if they don't want to train they can not train. But be yourself, don't think you have to be different than your emotions tell you.' Liverpool announced last week that they will retire Jota's No20 shirt in all their teams right across the club as a lasting tribute to him. Slot has welcomed the move, saying: 'We will always carry him with us in our hearts, in our thoughts, wherever we go. 'Maybe especially in difficult moments but in any moment we are here, we will carry him with us in our thoughts and in our hearts. 'To retire his shirt is the one thing we could, should and have done.' Slot and his wife Mirjam were among the thousands who have visited Anfield to pay their respects to Jota over the past few days. And he said the fact the former Wolves forward had been through such an unforgettable few weeks gave him some solace in the dark days. He said: 'What I take comfort in is that in the last month of his life he was a champion in everything. 7 Jota's passing shook the world of football Credit: Alamy 7 Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United at Jota's funeral Credit: Getty 'A champion for his family, which is the main and most important thing, because he got married. 'A champion for his country because he won the Nations League, [with] a country that he cared about so much. 'And of course a champion for us by winning the Premier League.' The outpouring of emotion since Jota's death has only reinforced Slot's own bond with the club and supporters. He said: 'In the title parade, it was only the Liverpool fans I assume. Now this time it was the complete city, it wasn't only Liverpool, it was also the 'And not only this city but also all around the country and in the world. Paul O'Connell hails Irish mentality after Portugal drubbing
Ireland's interim head coach, Paul O'Connell, confessed he felt sympathy for Portugal following his team's record-shattering 106-7 victory in Lisbon. Despite missing 17 players due to British and Irish Lions tour commitments, O'Connell's squad scored 16 tries in a lopsided thrashing, surpassing their previous largest win when they netted 13 tries in an 83-3 defeat of the United States in 2000. Speaking to Virgin Sports, O'Connell said: "I feel sorry for Portugal, but we were very clinical and took our chances. 'It is a unique summer tour given the Lions tour is on at the same time, but I am very happy with how our squad applied themselves. 'It is great to get some guys capped and scoring tries and training in an international environment.' Connacht pair Hugh Gavin and Shayne Bolton went over twice apiece on their debuts and there was also a brace each for club team-mate and flanker Cian Prendergast and Leinster wing Tommy O'Brien. With fly-half Jack Crowley landing 12 of his 15 conversion attempts – Ireland were also awarded a penalty try – the tourists also racked up 100 points for the first time. Captain Craig Casey, who went over for Ireland's ninth try early in the second half, told Virgin Sports: 'Our major takeaway from today is our mentality. We were very professional and played our game to get the result. 'It's a shame the stadium wasn't full, but seeing the amount of Irish fans here was special to get the result for them.' Ireland had 11 different try-scorers in addition to the penalty try, with centre Stuart McCloskey, forwards Thomas Clarkson and Alex Kendellen and replacements Calvin Nash, Ciaran Frawley and Ben Murphy also touching down. Ireland next face New Zealand in Chicago in a one-off Test on November 1.
