Will Lewis Hamilton move out of Ferrari? Here's what report says amid rumours of team reshuffle & uncertainty
Rumours of a major team reshuffle, including potential exits of key figures like team principal Frederic Vasseur and technical director Loic Serra, have raised questions about whether Hamilton might leave Ferrari.
Lewis Hamilton's transition from Mercedes to Ferrari was expected to spark a championship charge, but the 2025 season hasn't delivered. Despite a fourth-place finish at the British Grand Prix, Hamilton has struggled with the SF-25 car's performance, calling it the toughest he has driven at Silverstone due to issues like tire wear.
He has publicly urged Ferrari to stop trying to focus on the current car and start working on their 2026 car instead, a sign of his growing impatience with the team's inability to match McLaren's pace.
Italian media, including major outlets like Corriere della Sera and La Gazzetta dello Sport, have reported that Ferrari is considering a leadership change before 2026.
Team principal Frederic Vasseur is under pressure for failing to deliver a car capable of fighting for wins. Technical director Loic Serra, who joined Ferrari with Hamilton from Mercedes, is also reportedly at risk due to the underwhelming results.
The most surprising rumour involves former Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, who was recently sacked by Red Bull. Italian press and F1 insiders have speculated that Horner could be brought in to lead a rebuild at Ferrari, with Ferrari chairman John Elkann reportedly a fan of the controversial figure. However, this potential move has raised concerns about its impact on Hamilton's tenure with the team.
F1 insider Will Buxton, now a FOX IndyCar commentator, gave his take on the speculations during The Sports Agents podcast.
'If they replaced Fred with Christian Horner, I don't think Lewis would be a Ferrari driver for much longer,' he said.
Buxton suggested Horner might be a better fit for Alpine, but the possibility of him joining Ferrari has sparked debate about Hamilton's future.
Lewis Hamilton hasn't hidden his frustrations, stating, 'There are things with this car that we absolutely cannot carry over to next year.' Yet, he's also said he is 'here for the long haul' at Ferrari.
The team insisted its 2025 car was not built to favour Hamilton or teammate Charles Leclerc, focusing instead on overall performance. Still, strategic missteps and inconsistent results have kept the pressure on Vasseur's leadership.

Ribhav first from Chd to climb to no. 1 rank in U-16 tennis
Chandigarh: In a proud moment for Chandigarh and Indian tennis, 14-year-old Ribhav Saroha climbed to the pinnacle of junior tennis by becoming the All-India Rank No. 1 in the U-16 category as on June 16. Currently ranked no. 2, Ribhav is the first player trained entirely in Chandigarh to reach this national milestone. The young player trains under Marco Seruca, a former Portuguese Davis Cup player and now a full-time coach in Chandigarh. "Some days, I split my training into three hours in the morning and two in the evening. Other days, it's a solid five-hour stretch, depending on what Marco sir plans," said Ribhav. "I'm hoping to continue this form and make a strong transition into the men's circuit soon." Ribhav's admiration for the sport isn't limited to just the technique, he's even mirrored his hero, Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner, by sporting a hairstyle just like his. Ribhav credits his coach for not only building his game but shaping his mindset. Talking about his philosophy, Marco said, "It's very simple. Tennis is a sport that is based on time. Gaining time to perform the best quality shots you can and taking time away from the opponent. Ultimately, it's about the rhythm of the play." Talking of the tennis ecosystem in India, Marco said, "India has just as much talent and potential as any other country. However, parents here are more focused on academic careers and building a safety net rather than letting them take risks." He emphasized how consistency with a coach is important for the players to realise their full potential and that due to limitations of infrastructure and methodology, a player's growth can be hampered.

Cifuentes confirmed as Leicester manager
London, July 15 (UNI) Leicester City have named former Queens Park Rangers head coach Marti Cifuentes as their new manager on a three-year deal. The 43-year-old Spaniard replaces Ruud van Nistelrooy at the Foxes' helm with less than a month until the season starts. Cifuentes takes charge of a Leicester side that finds itself in the Championship for the second time in three years, having been immediately relegated from the Premier League after going up as second-tier title winners under Enzo Maresca in 2024. Cifuentes now joins Maresca, who left Leicester after promotion to take the job at Chelsea, as one of the six permanent managers the Foxes have had in just over two years. Just as the Italian was tasked with returning the East Midlands club to the top flight during his tenure, promotion will also be expected of Cifuentes. In his time at QPR, the Spaniard oversaw 18th and 15th-placed finishes. Leicester say they feel the Spaniard will bring "a modern, progressive footballing philosophy" to the club, while chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha says that Cifuentes "is an excellent fit", according to a BBC news. "We felt strongly that bringing him to the club would help us to create the success we all want in the years ahead," Srivaddhanaprabha added. Cifuentes took charge of QPR when they were second-from-bottom in the Championship in October 2023 and escaping relegation was first asked of him at Loftus Road. His latest campaign ended with him on gardening leave after the Hoops suffered a 5-0 defeat by already-promoted Burnley in April. UNI BM
