Nicola Peltz hits back at claims she's 'controlling' husband Brooklyn Beckham amid ongoing family feud

Daily Mail7 days ago
Nicola Peltz has hit back at claims she's 'controlling' Brooklyn Beckham amid a bitter fallout with her husband's family.
For months, rumours have been swirling about what sparked the feud, with some suggesting that billionaire heiress Nicola, 30, was at the centre.
This week, Nicola addressed the speculation after posting snaps with her family and Brooklyn, 26, celebrating her father Nelson's 83rd birthday.
The celebratory photos were the latest blow for David and Victoria, after Brooklyn snubbed his own dad's 50th birthday - with many flooding the comment section to accuse Nicola of being to blame.
Yet she hit back by 'liking' a fan's comment that suggested Brooklyn had made his own decision.
The comment read: 'The fact people are in this comment section talking bs about someone controlling a GROWN man is absurd. The guy is an adult and can make his own decisions, leave them be and stop blaming women for everything.'

In the snaps, Brooklyn looked right at home with his in-laws, happily posing with Nelson and Nicola's brothers at the party held at the Peltz family's huge home in Bedford, New York.
'happy birthday dad! i am so lucky to be your daughter, you're the most loving and supportive father i could ever dream of,' Nicola gushed in the caption.
'i love you more than i could ever begin to express - you're the wind beneath my wings,' the loving tribute continued.
'i loved celebrating you yesterday! thank you for always being there for us - our constant love and support.'
As Brooklyn celebrated his father-in-law over the weekend, his parents were enjoying their own bittersweet family time back in the UK.
Taking to social media Victoria posted a sun-soaked snap as she cosied up to her beloved parents Anthony and Jackie Adams.
In the emotional caption she wrote: 'Family weekends make me so happy'.
David and Victoria have reportedly become resigned to the fact that they have become estranged from their beloved son after he failed to attend any of the football ace's 50th birthday celebrations last month.
He also didn't wish either his mum Victoria or dad David a happy birthday on social media - an unusual move for the Beckhams, who are known for their loving posts.
This is in stark contrast to a post Brooklyn shared last week for his father-in-law and wrote on a picture of himself and Nicola with the billionaire: 'Happy birthday Nelson x We love you,'
Rumours of a rift between the eldest son and his parents began when Brooklyn was noticeably silent on his former Spice Girl mother's birthday last month, a far cry from his usual sweet posts about her.
Neither the former photographer nor his wife wished Victoria a happy 51st, while David, Romeo and Cruz posted gushing messages.
And as well as snubbing dad David's birthday online, he also was notably absent from all of his 50th birthday celebrations - including a boys' fishing trip.
Despite flying to London at the time, Brooklyn and Nicola also didn't attend the big family party at the Beckhams' Cotswolds home or an idyllic trip to France or a meal at Notting Hill restaurant, Core.
Brooklyn reportedly 'told his famous family that he wants no contact' with them earlier this month in the latest devastating turn of their ongoing feud.
While a source close to Brooklyn denied the claims, a source told Page Six: 'Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he's not responding to those that try to connect.'
According to the publication, the eldest Beckham boy has had no communication with his family following father David's knighthood being announced last week and only learned of the news in the media alongside the rest of the world.
Denying he'd asked for no contact, a source close to Brooklyn told the publication: 'Everyone's focus should be David Beckham 's great honour'.
Meanwhile a source close to Brooklyn also denied the claims as they told MailOnline, 'this seems to be another deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth, and it only serves to distract from this honor being bestowed on Brooklyn's father.'
MailOnline contacted David's reps for comment at the time.
But Brooklyn has proven that not all ties had been severed amid the family feud with his own birthday tribute to David's mum Sandra on her 76th birthday.
Sharing a throwback picture of him and his grandmother, he captioned: 'Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much.'
In his own post for his mum, David ensured absent son Brooklyn got a mention despite their widening rift.

The former Manchester United and England midfielder shared a carousel of photos featuring himself with mum Sandra from childhood to the present day.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: 'Happy birthday mum we love you so much I hope u have the best day. Thank you for always being there for us all. Love you.'
He rounded off the tribute by including the Instagram handles of various family members, among them younger sister Joanne and the retired footballer's three sons with wife Victoria - Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz.

Bengals'Joe Burrow explains why he will no longer purchase the Batmobile

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow revealed that a December burglary at his Ohio home led him to abandon plans to purchase a $2.9 million Batmobile replica. The NFL star had previously discussed his intention to buy one of the limited edition Batmobile Tumblers before the break-in occurred. Burrow's home was invaded while he was away playing a Monday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys. Model Olivia Ponton, who was present at the time, reported the break-in to authorities, describing a shattered window and a ransacked room. The incident, discussed by Burrow in Netflix 's Quarterback docuseries, also sparked speculation about his relationship with Ponton, which they later appeared to confirm.

Full House star Candace Cameron Bure drops divorce bombshell as she admits to 'rough season' in marriage

Full House star Candace Cameron Bure dropped a bombshell about how her marriage nearly ended in divorce. The 49-year-old actress opened up about once going through a particularly 'rough season' with her husband Valeri Bure after 30 years of marriage. She admitted that she and her husband almost separated and nearly went through with ending their marriage back in 2020, but their son guided them towards reconciliation. On her Tuesday episode of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, she recalled: 'Val and I went through a really, really rough season in our marriage.' She said at one point, they both had thoughts about splitting up until their kids stepped in. 'It was going south quickly. And we were like, "I don't know, I don't think ... we're gonna make it through.' The pair have been married since 1996 and are parents to three adult children: Natasha, 26, Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23. She recalled how their middle child, their eldest son Lev — who was also recording the podcast with her and their pastor Jonathan 'JP' Pokluda — stepped in and guided them through the rough patch with religion. 'Lev came up to us and said, "We'd like to talk to you guys",' she recalled. 'Lev preached like a 45-minute sermon on marriage to us, like, had his Bible open on the couch and just talked to us about it.' She continued, 'And I'll never forget. He said, "I haven't been married and I'm just a young kid, and it's probably hard to take marriage advice from someone this young [who] never experienced it before. But I don't need to be married to know what the word of God says."' The actress said their son's perspective opened their eyes and reminded them of their family values. 'He was just such a calm voice that had so much wisdom behind it. And he looked us straight in the eye and individually asked me and asked Val, "Have you done everything you can?" 'We walked away from that, and Val and I were like, "We raised pretty good kids." On her Tuesday episode of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast , she recalled: 'Val and I went through a really, really rough season in our marriage.' She said at one point, they both had thoughts about splitting up until their kids stepped in 'That was, like, the pivotal moment,' she continued. 'It really changed for us after that talk. It's a whole different scenario when your kids sit you down to talk and say, "Are you being as mature as you can be?"' She added: 'I'm so grateful to Lev, and Maks and Natasha. They were so supportive of everything.' The Fuller House alum had previously opened up about how the COVID-19 pandemic affected her marriage. 'All the things that we have avoided for years talking about, they all surfaced and they were in our face,' she admitted during an interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle in March 2021. 'And it was unavoidable to actually have these discussions with one another and work through the real deal crap.' She first sparked a romance with the former NFL hockey player after they met through her Full House co-star Dave Coulier before getting engaged less than a year later. Last month, the Bures marked a milestone as they celebrated their wedding anniversary, proving they overcame any obstacles and resolved their issues. On June 22, she shared a gushing tribute dedicated to her partner on Instagram. '31 years ago, we went on our first official date at his practice rink in Fredericton, New Brunswick. @dcoulier introduced us at a charity hockey game in Los Angeles 4 months earlier,' she wrote. '30 years ago on June 20th, we got engaged in Paris. 29 years ago today, June 22nd, we got married. We grew a beautiful family. Happy anniversary to my love and best friend forever. And this was the song for our first dance.'
