Rock Band Rips Kristi Noem's DHS For Using Its Song With NSFW 3-Word Demand
The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club issued a blistering condemnation of the Kristi Noem-led Department of Homeland Security, alleging the unauthorized use of its recording of 'God's Gonna Cut You Down' in a government-produced video. The rock band told the DHS to 'go f... yourselves.' The track, a folk-gospel song popularized by Johnny Cash, was featured in what the San Francisco rock band slammed as a 'propaganda video.' In a scathing public statement directed at the DHS, the band wrote on social media: 'It has come to our attention that the Department of Homeland Security is improperly using our recording of 'God's Gonna Cut You Down' in your latest propaganda video. It's obvious that you don't respect Copyright Law and Artist Rights any more than you respect Habeas Corpus and Due Process rights, not to mention the separation of Church and State per the U.S. Constitution.' The group continued: 'For the record, we hereby order @DHSgov to cease and desist the use of our recording and demand that you immediately pull down your video.' And it witheringly concluded: 'Oh, and go f... yourselves.' For the record, we hereby order @DHSgov to cease and desist the use of our recording and demand that you immediately pull down your video. Oh, and go f... yourselves,-BRMC — BRMCofficial (@BRMCofficial) July 10, 2025 The band joins a growing list of musicians who have pushed back against the unauthorized use of their music, especially by Donald Trump and his White House, ranging from Adele to The Rolling Stones. Kendall and Kylie Jenner declined invites to half-brother Brody's wedding to Tia Blanco: report
Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner reportedly turned down invitations to their half-brother Brody Jenner's wedding to Tia Blanco on Saturday. The 'Kardashians' stars were invited to the ceremony at Brody's mom Linda Thompson's house in Malibu, Calif., but thought their presence would take the spotlight away from the happy couple, an insider told TMZ Monday. The source confirmed there was no bad blood between the siblings and they share mutual love for each other. Kylie, 27, confirmed she wasn't attending Brody's nuptials over the weekend when she shared photos of herself on a yacht in Greece. The Khy founder also shared a video of herself dancing in a robe and hair towel with her 7-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster. However, Kendall, 29, and Kylie did attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's extravagant Venice nuptials last month. Reps for the sisters weren't immediately available for comment. Brody, 41, and Blanco, 28, tied the knot in front of around 70 of their loved ones after getting engaged in June 2023. The 'Hills' alum sported a classic tux for the ceremony, while the professional surfer donned a lace long-sleeved gown. The couple shares a 1-year-old daughter, Honey, though the little one wasn't photographed at the wedding. According to TMZ, Brody's father, Caitlyn Jenner — who was married to Thompson from 1981 to 1986 — attended her son's special day. Caitlyn and Thompson also share son Brandon Jenner, 44. The former Olympian is shares Burt Jenner, 46, and Cassandra Marino, 45, with her first ex-wife, Chrystie Scott. Caitlyn welcomed Kendall and Kylie with her third ex-wife, Kris Jenner. Caitlyn, 75, attended Brody's wedding despite their strained relationship over the years. The 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test' alum shared earlier this year that he received a 'real, sincere apology' from Caitlyn after feeling neglected amid the Olympian's growing fame with the Kardashians. 'It was the first time in my life that I've ever gotten an apology,' Brody said on the competition series in January. 'You know, 'I'm sorry for not being there.''
