This single VR upgrade makes the Meta Quest 3 better — and it's at its lowest price in early Prime Day deal
We're already seeing some of the best early Prime Day deals in the lead-up to the big event, and thankfully, that also includes my favorite VR accessory that gives my Meta Quest 3 a massive upgrade in comfort and battery life.
Anyone who owns a Quest 3 or Quest 3S will know the pain of being thrown out of their VR session when the headset's short, 2-hour battery life goes kaput. And the included headstrap isn't exactly comfortable for those longer gametimes. An upgrade is essential, and Kiwi Design has just the head strap on sale.
The Kiwi Design H4 Boost Halo Battery Head Strap is down to its lowest price yet on Amazon, taking it down from $99 on the company's site to $67. For those looking to extend their VR gaming sessions to up to 5 hours in superior comfort on their Quest 3, Quest 3S and even the upcoming Quest 3S Xbox Edition, this is the VR accessory for you.
The Kiwi Design H4 Boost Halo Battery Strap is the VR essential the Quest 3 and Quest 3S deserve, and I now can't imagine playing without it. With its silicone pads offering improved, secure comfort and its 5,300 mAh capacity offering nearly 3 hours of additional battery life, it's an easy upgrade to get. Now that it's $30 off compared to its original price, this is a valuable VR accessory to give your headset a much-needed boost.
I've spent a lot of time using the Kiwi Design H4 Boost Halo Battery Strap, and it made me realize that Meta's VR headsets require some add-ons to make the most of them. With this head strap, I now use my Quest 3 far more than I usually would have, and that's because it solves two major problems: battery life and comfort during longer sessions.
There are many brilliant VR games and apps to use on the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S, whether it be pummeling thugs in Batman: Arkham Shadow or learning how to draw in Pencil, and using this battery head strap meant I could do it all for longer. Not only that, but its silicone face pads feel incredibly comfortable for those longer sessions.
With the Quest 3S Xbox Edition coming, offering plenty of Xbox Game Pass games to play with its included subscription (and Xbox controller), this head strap will deliver plenty more gameplay potential — all without needing a wired connection to keep it charged.
With the head strap, you're getting nearly 3 hours of battery life added to the Quest headsets. That allowed me to delve further into some of the best Quest 3 games (especially Asgard's Wrath 2, which can take well over 60 hours), as getting up to 5 hours doesn't disrupt a VR session — unlike the usual 2 hours.
It also offers DualFast Power Charging, which simultaneously charges the H4 Boost and the Quest 3. With a 45W charger, both devices get 22.5W each, and I found that it takes just over two hours to fully charge them. So, double the battery life in the same time it takes to charge the Quest 3 / 3S on its own.
That alone makes me want to pick up my Quest 3 far more often, but its adjustability and added comfort also make wearing the headset far more snug. No more irritations on your face from the strap that comes in the box, or having a looser fit for those frantic VR games that require a lot of movement.
All that without being tethered to a cable? It's a valuable VR upgrade to have, and now that it's down to $67, the Kiwi Design H4 Boost Battery Strap is a worthwhile investment for any VR user.
That's only one of the many early Prime Day deals you can grab right now, so get shopping for plenty more limited-time deals!

I'm certain all our recommended Mini LED TVs are about to get hefty discounts, but something better may be on the horizon
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. As one of the members of the team who tends to review Mini LED TVs, having done more than I care to count at the end of 2024 and start of 2025, I like to think I've got a pretty good read on the category. It's also why I'm frequently the member of the What Hi-Fi? home cinema team that keeps an eye on Mini LED TV prices, which in turn helps us offer accurate buying advice. So, when I tell you, with Prime Day 2025 my deals Spidey Sense has dialled up to 11 on some of the top options in our best Mini LED TVs guide, it hopefully means something. Specifically, I'm expecting Amazon, as well as specialist retailers, to offer huge discounts on two key sets. The first is the Award-winning, five-star TCL C805K, which is the top option we recommend to most people right now. This is because the set is great value at full price, but is coming to the end of its lifecycle with new sets from TCL hitting the market. We've already seen a wealth of hefty discounts on it over the past few months, and traditionally Prime Day brings 'best ever' prices to TCL's outgoing models. This was the case with the now retired TCL C845K last year, which was one of Prime Day 2024's best Mini LED bargains. If history repeats with the C805K, people looking for a fantastic big screen TV that won't break the bank. If that sounds appealing, I'd suggest keeping a particularly close eye on the 85-inch model, which we reviewed. The second, and in some ways bigger deal (see what I did there), is the Amazon Fire TV Omni Mini LED. Sure, it isn't perfect, hence the four-star rating. But when I tested it against similarly priced rivals, it proved to be the grown up in the room thanks to its focus on authenticity and consistency. This lets it offer a much more true to life, distraction free, experience than rivals, including the Hisense U7N, which is the main other Mini LED this price I recommend to most people. The main reason I think this one will be the bigger deal is that, as an event hosted by Amazon, Fire devices tend to get the biggest discounts during Prime Day. This has always been the case since I started covering the event. Last year the regular Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED, which was the firm's flagship at the time, was nearly half price during the event. If anything close to that happens to the Fire TV Omni Mini LED, it could be the affordable TV deal of the year, so far. My only word of caution on pulling the trigger now is that we're about to test a fresh batch of Mini LED TVs, so our advice may change in the not too distant future. If you walked past our review rooms this very second you'd spot key sets forming an orderly line, including the TCL Q6C, Panasonic W95B and Samsung QN90F. These are three key sets that left a very positive impression when we saw them at their respective launch events. Which is why, if you want to get the best Mini LED TV money can buy, it may be worth waiting and seeing how the new models compare to their predecessors and our current recommendations, when our full reviews to go live. Select NordVPN two-year plans now come with Amazon Gift Cards of up to $50. That's quite a gift! The bad news is that the promotion is temporary, and you don't have a year to take advantage of it. This guide will explain the promotion and instruct you on how to get your NordVPN + Amazon Gift Card in a few minutes. Snatch the Exclusive NordVPN Bundle NordVPN is a master of cheap VPN subscriptions. This time, you can take it to the next level if you select one of the three plans: Plus, Complete, or Prime, all discounted by at least 70%. OpenAI reportedly ‘recalibrating' compensation in response to Meta hires
With Meta successfully poaching a number of its senior researchers, an OpenAI executive reportedly reassured team members Saturday that company leadership has not 'been standing idly by.' 'I feel a visceral feeling right now, as if someone has broken into our home and stolen something,' Chief Research Officer Mark Chen wrote in a Slack memo obtained by Wired. In response to what appears to be a Meta hiring spree, Chen said that he, CEO Sam Altman, and other OpenAI leaders have been working 'around the clock to talk to those with offers,' and they've 'been more proactive than ever before, we're recalibrating comp, and we're scoping out creative ways to recognize and reward top talent.' Over the past week, various press reports have noted eight researchers who departed OpenAI for Meta. Altman even complained on a podcast that Meta was offering '$100 million signing bonuses,' a description that Meta executives have pushed back against internally.
