Besides his telecoms ventures, Sir Terry owns the Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales.

The Newport businessman was the first billionaire in Wales and was the richest man in the country until 2012.
Sir Terry currently ranks 119th in the UK rich list and fourth in Wales.
The annual Sunday Times Rich List has seen a significant drop in the number of billionaires this year, from 177 in 2022 to 156.
Cardiff-born billionaire Sir Michael Moritz and his wife, Harriet Heyman, hold the top position on the Welsh list, despite their fortunes falling by £168 million to £4.435 billion.
Flintshire technology entrepreneur Simon Nixon, co-founder of Moneysupermarket.com, takes second place with a worth of £1.95 billion.
Llanelli-based Specsavers founder Douglas Perkins and his family are in third place with an estimated fortune of £1.539 billion.
The fifth spot goes to Cardiff-born property investor and West Ham United owner David Sullivan and his family, with a net worth of £1.118 billion.
Meanwhile, Alex Loven has been named the wealthiest person in Wales under 40.
The 37-year-old started out in business selling cricket bats to his schoolmates at the age of 13. He later founded Wrexham-based Net World Sports.
His net worth has increased to £262 million from £200 million last year, making him the 18th richest person under 40 in the UK.
The 2025 Sunday Times Rich List names the 350 richest people in the UK based on identifiable wealth, including land, property, and assets such as art and racehorses, and significant shares in publicly quoted companies.
The figures do not include bank accounts.
This year's list, which includes notable figures such as Sir Elton John, Sir Mick Jagger, and Sir Lewis Hamilton, holds a combined wealth of £772.8 billion.
This sum is larger than the annual GDP of Switzerland but is down three per cent compared with last year.
Robert Watts, the compiler of the guide, said: "Our billionaire count is down, and the combined wealth of those who feature in our research is falling.
"We are also finding fewer of the world's super-rich are coming to live in the UK.
"The Rich List's decline in billionaire numbers is the sharpest in its 37-year history, reflecting changing economic conditions.
"Despite this, the list remains a testament to the significant wealth held by a small number of individuals and families in the UK.
"The list highlights the ongoing concentration of wealth in certain industries, particularly technology and telecommunications, as exemplified by figures like Sir Terry Matthews and Sir Michael Moritz.
"The Rich List provides a snapshot of the shifting landscape of wealth in the UK, with the fortunes of its members reflecting broader economic trends.
"Despite a decrease in the number of billionaires and a dip in their combined wealth, the list continues to highlight the significant economic influence of its members.

Wrexham MP Andrew Ranger celebrates North East Wales

MP for Wrexham Last week saw the publication of the government's Industrial and Trade strategies. North-East Wales already has a huge amount to celebrate and the Industrial Strategy will promote its wide-ranging strengths to investors. For example, in Advanced Manufacturing: North-East Wales has significant strengths in Aerospace, clustered around Airbus' Broughton site, and Automotive, including Toyota's Deeside plant. Advance Manufacturing Research Centre Cymru provides a regional centre for innovation, and will complement the recently announced Advanced Manufacturing Investment Zone for Wrexham and Flintshire In terms of Clean Energy Industries, North Wales has significant assets to build on, with Crown Estate research finding that upcoming offshore wind schemes in the Celtic Sea could unlock up to 4.5GW of floating offshore wind supporting over 5,000 jobs, with the potential for up to 12GW. HyNet CCUS has the potential to generate thousands of jobs and billions in investment, including £2bn in supply chain contracts through its carbon storage and capture. The recent US trade deal is so important to Wales as the US is Wales' second biggest trade destination. The deal will enable the automotive industry and Welsh farmers to access more markets. The Free Trade Agreement with India will halve whisky tariffs from 150% to 75%. Wales has secure access for key exports such as lamb. The regeneration of Shotton Paper Mill which is within the Wrexham Flintshire Investment Zone will, thanks to investment last year, turn the area into the UK's largest paper manufacturing site. This will safeguard 147 jobs and create a further 220 when fully commissioned. Around 140 jobs will be created in North Wales after Knauf Insulation unveiled plans to invest £170 million in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Shotton. The impact of these investments will be felt in the supply chain in Wrexham and beyond. We are seeing the benefits of two Labour governments working together to further economic growth in Wales. Matsudai ramen pop-up heading to Anglesey's Halen Mon

Cardiff's Matsudai Ramen has teamed up with Anglesey's Halen Môn to launch a limited-edition ramen kit and one-off dining event on the Anglesey coast. The collaboration will be celebrated with a lunch and dinner club at Halen Môn's Tide café on July 10, giving ramen fans in North Wales the chance to try the exclusive bowl in person. James Chant, founder of Matsudai Ramen, said: "We've been using Halen Môn products in our cooking for years – salt-based shio ramen is a fundamental style in Japanese ramen – so, with Halen Môn's products being so untouchably brilliant, it felt like a perfect fit for us to collaborate. "We've made good use of Halen Môn's smoked salt and water, to accentuate the depth of the flavours that we bring from our long-cooked soups and marinated meats and vegetables. "We've wanted to do this for ages and I'm really pleased to bring this idea to life. "As a business that was founded on running pop-ups, we're looking forward to the experience of cooking on the beautiful Anglesey coast. "It's an opportunity for North Walian fans of our kits to taste what we do in-person, and to bring something a bit different to the menu at Tide." (Image: Supplied) The new shio (salt) ramen kit is designed to highlight Halen Môn's smoked salt and smoked water. It features a chicken and seafood broth, wild garlic oil, hand-pressed noodles, and pork loin chashu cured in smoked salt. The pop-up will serve the signature ramen from the kit, along with a richer soup alternative and a vegan option. Tickets include a bowl of ramen, with additional small plates and desserts also available on the day. Matsudai's ramen kits have been delivered across the UK and praised by chefs including Tim Anderson, Andi Oliver, and Melissa Thompson. The company opened Wales' first dedicated ramen shop in Grangetown, Cardiff, in August 2022. Jess Lea-Wilson, brand director at Halen Môn, said: "We're big fans of the Matsudai kits and always looking for new recipes, dishes and cuisines to showcase the versatility of our naturally-produced salts and seasonings. "Having invested in the visitor experience at Tide over the winter, we're really pleased to make the most of the opportunity this summer to welcome in the community around us here in Anglesey, showcase amazing Welsh culinary talent and bring new events to the island." The Matsudai x Halen Môn ramen kits will be available to pre-order from June 27, with deliveries taking place between July 18 and August 16. Tickets for the Anglesey pop-up are available to book now through the Halen Môn website.
