The Owls are already under embargo for missing pay days for players and failing to settle transfer bills.
But the biggest snag is the taxman, with HMRC due a huge £2.2MILLION for June and July.
There seems little scope for a deal there, so the cash will have to be found or serious action could come Wednesday's way.
Chansiri hopes to raise funds by selling Djeidi Gassama to Rangers and Anthony Musaba to Turkish side Samsunspor.

CASH WEDNESDAY Sheff Wednesday in advanced takeover talks with wealthy Donald Trump ally
US sports entrepreneur Tilman Fertitta, 68, has made an offer to Chansiri.
The cost of the deal is being kept secret and will be subject to the usual due diligence phase.
Fertitta may lodge cash to help settle some bills in the short term as the process is bound to take weeks.
But he seems a far more credible candidate than many who have chased the Yorkshire club ownership.

Chansiri says he is willing to sell the club to 'the right individual, or group, to take it forward'.

The club's dire financial situation is now having an impact on a sporting level after six stars reportedly handed in notices, with Chansiri refusing to inject any more cash into the coffers.
While manager Danny Rohl hasn't returned to pre-season training and is seeking a way out of his contract amidst interest from other clubs.

Sir Alex Ferguson spotted with Rangers star at club's training centre as beaming Gers ace says ‘met a legend today'
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THERE are plenty of new faces at Rangers' training ground this summer amid major changes at the club. But there's also been a surprise appearance from an iconic footballing figure at the Ibrox club's Milngavie base. 2 Legendary footie boss Sir Alex Ferguson Credit: Getty 2 Sir Alex has been at the Rangers training ground Credit: INSTAGRAM/@NICDOC11 Russell Martin's Rangers squad have been back in pre-season training for almost a month and they're just a week away from the real stuff getting started. The Light Blues face Panathinaikos in a crunch Champions League qualifier at Ibrox next Tuesday. New boss Martin has seven new players at his disposal, with winger Djeidi Gassama the latest new recruit. There's been plenty of change on the women's team too with boss Jo Potter leaving her role. They've also bid farewell to key players including Kirsty Maclean, Chelsea Cornet, Tessel Middag and Jane Ross. There has, of course, also been the US takeover of the club. But amid all of that change, a VERY familiar face has been spotted at the training centre. None other than Sir Alex Ferguson. The footie great, 83, of course had a two-year spell as a Rangers player - his boyhood club - between 1967 and 1969. Sir Alex is of course much more famous for a glittering managerial career, in which he led Aberdeen to league title and European glory before going on to become the greatest Manchester United boss ever. Rangers boss Russell Martin opens up on transfer plans as he delivers updates on Dessers and Igamane Govan-born Fergie has made the odd trip back to Ibrox in recent years. In fact, he was a guest of honour just last month when he was given the honour of a tour at the Rangers Museum. During his walk around the New Edmiston House shrine, Sir Alex spotted a letter he'd written to Dick Advocaat after the Gers' treble triumph back in 1999. Just a few weeks on, Sir Alex has been back at Rangers AGAIN. Rangers Women captain Nicola Docherty shared a picture of herself alongside the legendary boss in the training centre. Buzzing Docherty posted the snap to her Instagram stories and said: "Met a legend today, Sir Alex!" She also added: "His greatest quote - 'there was no way I could contemplate taking the England job. Can you imagine me doing that? A Scotsman? 'I always joked that I would take the position and relegate them: make them 150th rated country in the world, with Scotland 149'." Ferguson revealed in his autobiography that he HAD been offered the chance to become England manager during his career. Exactly what he was doing at the Rangers training centre remains to be seen. The rivalry has yet to explode into all-out animosity. But there is a growing sense of tension between the two protagonists - USA v Europe; the PGA Tour v LIV Golf; the artist v the scientist. The friction first became apparent during the US Open last year, when McIlroy's dramatic collapse over the closing holes opened the door for DeChambeau to win. The man from Northern Ireland reportedly left the course without stopping to congratulate DeChambeau, only doing so on Instagram a day later. read more in golf SCOT TO GO 'What is the point' - Emotional Scheffler reveals reason he could quit golf Things soured even further in December last year, when they met in Las Vegas for the Showdown, which saw McIlroy team up with Scottie Scheffler for the PGA Tour, to take on DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka from LIV. The pair met on the range before the event and McIlroy told a TV crew: 'I'd like to go up against Bryson and try to get him back for what he did to me at the US Open.' And DeChambeau replied: 'Well, to be fair, you kinda did it to yourself.' McIlroy is thought to have been upset by the quip, which was considered cruel. McIlroy famously won in a play-off over Justin Rose, after one of the most white-knuckle gut-wrenching final rounds in history. DeChambeau later gave a sparky response when asked how Rory had coped, saying: 'No idea, he didn't talk to me once all day.' McIlroy later fired back: 'I don't know what he was expecting. Inside Rory McIlroy's whirlwind love life RORY MCILROY enjoyed a high-profile romance with former tennis world number one Caroline Wozniacki before their split in 2014. The following year, the golf ace began dating Erica Stoll, who he had first met on the PGA Tour in 2011. Erica often interacted with players through her role as the PGA's manager of championship volunteer operations. She even prevented McIlroy from missing his tee time at the 2012 Ryder Cup after some confusion over the time zone. The incident began a firm friendship between the pair, four years before their relationship turned romantic. McIlroy and Erica were spotted on a string of dates in Rochester, New York, in the early days of their relationship. Just eight months later, the couple got engaged in Paris and walked down the aisle at Ashford Castle in Ireland in 2017. The pair then welcomed daughter Poppy into the world three years later. Throughout their time together, McIlroy and Erica have kept their relationship to themselves, with the golfer keen to protect his family from the cameras during filming of Netflix's Full Swing documentary series. However, after seven years of marriage, McIlroy filed for divorce from Erica. The reasons for the divorce were not disclosed, but the Northern Irishman submitted documents to a court in Florida. However, a few weeks later, performed a U-turn on their decision to divorce. McIlroy told the outlet: "Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.' They have been pictured sharing a buggy at a LIV event. DeChambeau had previously dated another college golfer, Hunter Nugent, but she revealed that they had parted in 2022 and that Schneider was now with the American. Last year his marriage to wife Erica Stoll looked to be over as they prepared to divorce, before a surprise change of heart and a dramatic U-turn on legal proceedings. Before that, he spent three years with Danish tennis beauty Caroline Wozniacki before breaking off their engagement in a phone call that lasted just three minutes. In 2014, McIlroy was romantically linked with Meghan Markle, before she married Prince Harry. The pair flirted in a video shared on social media, as he helped her take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge, a viral trend adopted by many celebs to raise money for ALS.
