Although the president and Watters have thrown their support behind Sweeney, some people were left uncomfortable by the anchor's comment - considering Trump's son is eight years her junior. Waters' bizarre comment came as he and his co-hosts discussed the controversy surrounding Sweeney's recent American Eagle ad (pictured) 'Gross, could you imagine,' one user wrote. 'Threw up in my mouth,' wrote another. Someone else questioned: 'What makes him think that Sydney would even be interested in Barron?' 'Cringey,' another commented. 'A perfect match,' another commented. Clothing brand American Eagle has been under fire for days after running a 'racially charged' ad featuring the White Lotus star. In the advert, the blonde-haired, blue eyed actress was seen donning denim with the tagline 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans.' In the commercial, Sweeney said: 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye jeans are blue.' It almost immediately sparked a conversation about eugenics and racism online, with many people disowning not just the brand, but Sweeney as well. Sweeney is a member of the Republican Party of Florida, according to public voter records reviewed by Daily Mail. She registered in Monroe County, Florida in June 2024. Buzzfeed was the first outlet to report Sweeney's voter registration. President Trump was elated to discover Sweeney was registered as a Republican after her controversial jeans ad set off a political firestorm. Daily Mail asked Trump for his reaction to Sweeney's surprise voter registration after he landed in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and the president didn't shy away from his excitement. 'Oh, now I love her ad,' Trump responded. 'You'd be surprised at how many people are Republican. That's one I wouldn't have known, but I'm glad you told me that,' he continued. 'If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic.'

ITV have announced that Love Island: All Stars will return in 2026 for a third season and this time it will be longer than usual ITV have announced that Love Island: All Stars will return for an extended third series on ITV2 in January 2026. The news comes after the intense finale of the 12th series, which saw American beauty Toni Laites and Cach Mercer take home the win and 50K cash prize. This year's show was dubbed 'TV gold' by fans who branded the series as 'iconic' with its summer of jaw dropping twists and turns. And it looks like ITV are continuing with that momentum with the return of Love Island: All Stars. One again, fan-favourite Islanders from across the 12 seasons of the show will return to the villa in hopes for a second chance at finding love, while navigating the relationship dilemmas of bombshells, heads turning and what it truly means to be open. The hit show will return to the stunning villa in South Africa, with more Islanders hoping to find love. The series will launch in the new year and run for six whole weeks instead of the five which the past two seasons ran for. The previous two seasons saw couples from multiple series find love with each other, with several couples still together to this day. Season one in 2024 saw Molly Smith and Tom Clare crowned as the winners, and the pair are still going from strength to strength having recently bought their first house together. Other returning Islanders include Sophie Piper, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Curtis Pritchard, Scott Thomas and Anton Danyluk. The Love Island franchise has proved to be one of ITV's biggest shows for 16-34 audiences. The show has also continued to be streamed on ITVX when off air, being watched over two billion times. The show celebrated its 10th anniversary this year with season 12, and it is expected to be the biggest since season nine (which aired in January 2023). This show's streams on ITVX, currently at 163 million, are up 9 per cent year-on-year, making it the biggest series since the launch of ITVX. Field Of Gold to miss International assignment at York
John and Thady Gosden's Irish 2,000 Guineas and Royal Ascot hero was discovered to be lame after tasting defeat for just the second time this season in the Sussex Stakes and although there are encouraging signs in his recuperation, a step up to 10 furlongs on the Knavesmire has been ruled out by his team. The son of Kingman will undergo X-rays on Wednesday which will give a clearer indication of the prognosis, with Juddmonte's European racing manager Barry Mahon saying: 'The horse is doing well and was back sound, which is good. 'He's got a little bit of swelling in his fetlock but John and Thady are much happier with him so the plan is to do the X-ray on Wednesday – they've just pushed it back a day, as the longer you can leave it, the clearer the picture is. 'That will give us some more insight and if the X-ray is clear, we can hopefully start back into some light exercise towards the end of the week or early next week. 'York though is definitely not going to happen at this stage.' Having dazzled when claiming Classic honours in Ireland and scorching to St James's Palace Stakes victory at the Royal meeting, there has been plenty of conversation over whether Field Of Gold will try to repeat those heroics up in trip or continue to be the stand out performer of the year at eight furlongs. The Juddmonte star holds entries in both the Prix du Moulin (ParisLongchamp, September 7) and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Ascot, October 18) at a mile later in the campaign, while he could yet test the waters up in distance in Leopardstown's Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes on September 13. However, the colt's name was notably missing from the entries for the Qipco Champion Stakes over further on the same afternoon as his engagement in the QEII, with race planning currently taking a backseat until one of the season's top performers returns to full fitness. Mahon added: 'It was the plan pre-Goodwood to stick at a mile for the time being and obviously there has been no chat about potential races since Goodwood, we're just going to have to let the dust settle and let him get back into exercise and then when he is fit make a plan from there. 'You are getting into that time of year when there is not an abundance of opportunities and there is the Moulin, QEII or you go up to a mile and a quarter for the races at that distance. 'So I wouldn't say there is a huge amount of options, but we'll just wait and see and let the horse tell us.'
