The waterpark will have over 30 waterslides, a wave pool and waterslide tower measuring more than 170ft tall called Jaguar's Peak.
There will also be hydrolaunch slides that shoot riders into the air and the world's first sombrero slide, modeled after Mexico's iconic sombrero.
The park will feature adventure pools and slides for younger kids too.
At Splash Cove, another central neighborhood on the island, there will be the longest lazy river in the world.
Along the hour-long float there are multiple entry and exit points and there will be a number of float up bars.
Each tube will even have a cupholder for beverages.
And for those who feel a little more daring, there is the option of venturing through a crazy section of the river that has twists and turns with waves, rapids and spins.
In the centre of all of this is a 100,000sqft pool - which is one of 10 across the island.
Smaller children will be able to enjoy Royal Caribbean's largest Splashaway Bay with the first-ever Splashaway Cabanas nearby.
The cruise line has partnered with Legacy Entertainment - a US-based design firm responsible for theme parks and attractions - to create the waterpark.

The destination spans over 200 acres on Mexico's Caribbean Coast and in total will have seven neighbourhoods, with 12 dining options and 24 bars.
Other neighbourhoods include El Hideaway - an adults-only neighbourhood.
The neighbourhood will be the party zone with a party pool, swim-up bar and in-pool DJ.
There will also be a new Ultimate Party Cabana for 20 guests, with its own pool and bar.
In the Costa Beach Club neighbourhood, guests can make the most of the white sand beaches, heated infinity pool and Costa Beach Club restaurant.
At Chill Beach North and South will be two miles of white sand beaches.
Then at Fiesta Plaza, guests can make the most of live music and dance inspired by Mexico with live music and dance.
Plus, the world's largest sombrero will be found on top of the Tipsy Sombrero bar which will serve classic Mexican drinks such as margaritas and cervezas.

Free-to-use loungers, umbrellas and towels will be at all of the beaches and pools at Perfect Day Mexico.

Royal Caribbean is also due to launch the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in December 2025.
The first-of-its-kind Royal Beach Club in The Bahamas will combine the stunning beaches of Nassau's Paradise Island with Royal Caribbean's signature experiences.
Visitors can purchase an all-inclusive day pass and enjoy unlimited dining, drinks and amenities, from The Floating Flamingo – the world's largest swim-up bar.
Also opening, in 2026, is the Royal Beach Club Cozumel – which features stunning beaches, pools with swim-up bars, cabanas, snorkeling, kayaking and more.
A closed UK waterpark will also finally reopen after shutting 17 months ago.
Plus, a massive European waterpark with 14 themed lands opens new outdoor pool and 150-seat swim up bar.

The announcement of the emergency came two months after the Scottish Government laid the Housing (Scotland) Bill before the Scottish Parliament. The Bill continues to work its way through Holyrood and is expected to come into force later this year. Of particular concern to investors are proposals around rent controls. Colin Brown is a Partner at TLT To give one example that has occurred recently – a London-based investment firm, was about to commit many millions of pounds to its first Scottish investment before discovering that a committee considering the Bill had voted to include purpose-built student accommodation as subject to statutory rent controls. All of the financial appraisals the firm had undertaken in making the decision to invest in Scotland were potentially being ripped up by MSPs and they had no power to do anything about this. In this situation, the Scottish Government moved quickly to make clear it would not support rent control for purpose-built student accommodation. Whilst the project is now starting to come out of the ground it remains to be seen whether they consider Scotland a safe haven for future investment. The rental income which institutional investors derive from their investments in bricks and mortar helps to fund many individuals' pensions. The investors need to understand that in exchange for making their money available they will get a return on their investment and this return has generally been left to market forces – the law of supply and demand. The housing emergency should make investment in new build housing in Scotland a win-win. The country gets much-needed new housing to alleviate the emergency, and the investment funds get to deploy their capital to deliver housing and make a return on their investment. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad In the UK in the first quarter of this year £1.2 billion was invested in private rental accommodation with the potential for £6bn to be invested by the end of the year. 76 per cent of this investment is being directed outside London, with Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds leading the way. Every penny of this investment creates new housing and sustains and creates job opportunities. The fact that Scotland has not been able to open the investment tap when cities in England are seeing private rental accommodation expand, could be seen as a missed opportunity. In launching the latest consultation, the Social Justice Secretary acknowledges that rental properties are a crucial element of the efforts to tackle the housing emergency. Government policy has slowed investment into the sector in recent years and resulted in lower investor confidence in providing much-needed housing. Rent caps and controls are of course not universally despised and a balance must be struck between protecting tenants and unlocking the investment that delivers the new housing. There will be investors with capital looking for a home waiting to see if the legislative and political environment in Scotland means they should be deploying more of this in Scotland or continuing to explore opportunities which guarantee a better return elsewhere.

Gary Shteyngart: Want to understand Russia? Then read this novel
Gary Shteyngart was born Igor Semyonovich Shteyngart in Leningrad in 1972. His family, he says, was 'typically Soviet' and they lived in a square with a huge statue of Vladimir Lenin. They emigrated to the US when he was seven but not before he had written his first book: a 100-page comic novel. After a degree in politics and several years working for NGOs, Shteyngart took a trip to Prague that inspired his first novel, The Russian Debutante's Handbook, which was published in 2002. The book, about young Russians living in Manhattan and the fictional Prava, won him awards and acclaim. Other books by Shteyngart include the novels Absurdistan, Super Sad True Love Story, Lake Success and Our Country Friends as well as the memoir Little Failure. He has also worked on television shows including HBO's Succession and The Regime. His latest book is Vera, or Faith, about a dysfunctional family in America told from the perspective of Vera, a ten-year-old girl who is half-Korean, half-Jewish. Barney's Version by Mordecai Richler. I read the book when I was deep in my fully satirical mode as a twentysomething man. You couldn't stop me from satirising everything in sight. Now I'm middle-aged and full of love. Dogs, children, baristas — I love everyone I encounter. But when my spleen was much more active I craved satire and Barney's Version fit the bill perfectly. It's the story of an old man losing his marbles in Montreal and it is, in some ways, a kind of loud Canadian lament. (Who knew that was possible?) It's also the story of an old man scrutinising his life and trying to figure out where it all went wrong, which, as a 52-year-old I can now begin to understand on a different level. • What we're reading this week — by the Times books team I really love Bombay, so I love Maximum City by my old friend Suketu Mehta. It's an over-the-top take on an over-the-top city. No person I know so embodies a place as does Suketu. When I went on a tour of Bombay with him a decade or so ago we were hanging out with Bollywood stars, drinking sodas designed to elicit a belch and being chased out of housing estates by gangsters. In other words the reality is every bit as nuts as the book makes it out to be. With the genocide being perpetrated by Russia against Ukraine I became more than weary of my Russian-born cultural self. Oblomov, the story of a Russian man who never really gets off his couch, is something else. It's what being a Russian is actually like. The instinct to let the world slide off your back (even as you lie on it) explains so much of why Russia is, was and always will be a nightmare. EU-US tariffs: five key takeaways from the trade deal
Donald Trump has announced a deal with the EU imposing tariffs of 15% on most goods entering the US from Europe and requiring the bloc to make huge investments in US energy products, averting a trade war between the two of the world's largest economies. Though the 15% rate is half of what Trump had threatened, many will be disappointed by it. When the UK accepted tariffs of 10% in its trade deal with the US in May, it was widely reported that European leaders considered it to be a bad deal. Brussels also agreed to buy, over three years, $750bn (£560bn) worth of oil, gas, nuclear fuel and semi-conductors, including liquified gas, while at the same time agreeing to invest $600bn (£446bn) in the US, including purchases of military equipment, according to Trump. One analyst suggested the deal was a 'big win' for the US president while it was less clear what the EU gained. 'A 15% tariff on European goods, forced purchases of US energy and military equipment and zero tariff retaliation by Europe, that's not negotiation, that's art of the deal.,' Prashant Newnaha, senior Asia-Pacific rates strategist at TD securities said. Here are five key takeaways: The US will keep in place a 50% tariff on steel and aluminium according to Trump, although European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said the tariffs on steel could be replaced with a quota system with further negotiation. There was also confusion over pharmaceuticals after Trump said the sector would not be included, however a senior US official later confirmed that they were in fact covered by the 15% tariff. According to von der Leyen, zero tariffs will apply to a range of sectors including 'all aircraft and component parts, certain chemicals, certain generics, semiconductor equipment, certain agricultural products, natural resources and critical raw materials'. But there was ongoing uncertainty for some industries – Sunday's announcement did not clear up what tariffs European wine and spirits producers will face in the US. Carsten Nickel, deputy director of research at Teneo, said Sunday's accord was 'merely a high-level, political agreement' that could not replace a carefully hammered out trade deal: 'This, in turn, creates the risk of different interpretations along the way, as seen immediately after the conclusion of the US-Japan deal.' On Sunday, a senior US administration official told reporters in Washington that Trump retained the ability to increase the tariffs in the future if European countries do not live up to the investment commitments contained in the deal. The deal creates a division on the island of Ireland, as traders in Northern Ireland can sell into the US on a 10% tariff rate, courtesy of the UK deal, while their neighbours in Ireland will be hit with the 15% rate. The disparity will make for difficult diplomatic conversations over guarantees to maintain stability on the entire island in the Good Friday agreement, which had already been rocked by the fallout from Brexit, when customs arrangements involving Northern Ireland became a huge headache for EU and UK negotiators. Ireland's deputy prime minister, Simon Harris, said he 'regretted' the 15% tariff rate but said 'certainty' was important. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz welcomed the deal, saying it averted a trade conflict that would have hit Germany's export-driven economy and its large auto sector. German carmakers, VW, Mercedes and BMW were some of the hardest hit by the 27.5% US tariff on car and parts imports now in place. But the powerful BDI federation of industrial groups was vocal in its disappointment. 'Even a 15% tariff rate will have immense negative effects on export-oriented German industry,' said Wolfgang Niedermark, a member of the federation's leadership. The country's VCI chemical trade association said the accord left rates 'too high'. The impact of the tariffs is likely to be substantial on some companies; automaker Volkswagen said it suffered a 1.3bn euro ($1.5bn) hit to profit in the first half of the year from the higher tariffs. Though von der Leyen framed the agreement as a 'good deal' that would bring 'stability' and 'predictability', Brussels' original aim in the talks was for a 'zero-for-zero' tariff deal and tariffs remain far higher than historically. 'The crippling uncertainty is largely over, the deal is bearable for the EU,' said Holger Schmieding, chief economist at Berenberg Bank. 'Trump can claim that the asymmetric deal is a 'win' for him. But of course, the outcome is still bad relative to the situation that prevailed before Trump started his trade wars.'
