Stephen Curry recently wrapped up his 16th NBA season and marked the moment with a post on X (formerly Twitter). With the 2025 NBA Draft upon us, Curry had a brief but impactful message for the generation to come.
Even as the post celebrated his rise from an undervalued rookie to worldwide icon, it delivered a pick-me-up to young hopefuls on one of the most important nights of their lives.

, inspires next generation
On June 25, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry posted a message on his official X account. He began by reflecting on his long journey:
'16 years in the league. Grateful for every moment.' That simple phrase carried weight. It reminded fans how it all started, drafted in 2009 as the seventh pick, when he once felt overlooked.

Curry then celebrated his rise: 'From being underrated to receiving accolades beyond my wildest dreams.' Then came the next part of his post, which was directed at the hopeful newcomers:
'To the next generation hearing their name called tonight: trust the journey.'
He added one more nugget of advice: 'What feels uncertain now might be setting you up for something greater.'
This wisdom landed just as the 2025 NBA Draft was unfolding, making it a motivational moment for new talent.

Stephen Curry's message sparks emotional fan reactions
Curry's reflective post stirred an immediate response online. Many fans and NBA analysts shared the tweet, praising his humility and perseverance.
Online, supporters returned to his classic highlights, 2009 Draft Day, clutch playoff shots, and MVP awards, all recalling Curry's journey from an 'underrated' point guard to superstar.
Even though Curry did not list any of his wins, this message was deeply felt. When he wrote 'beyond my wildest dreams", fans took it as a quiet nod for all the hard work he did- his four NBA titles, two MVP Awards, and his place as one of the top three-point shooters in history.
Stephen Curry's brief, honest words today show why he remains more than an athlete. He's a mentor and an inspiration for the next generation of NBA talent.

Magnus Carlsen takes a fresh jibe at 19-year-old World Champion D Gukesh - 'In terms of impressing me...'

Magnus Carlsen from Norway, left, and Gukesh Dommaraju from India during the first game of Norway Chess in Finansparken in Stavanger, Norway, Monday, May 26, 2025. (Carina Johansen/NTB via AP) World No. 1 chess player has taken a fresh jibe at reigning world champion D. Gukesh after Day 1 of the SuperUnited Croatia Rapid & Blitz 2025. The 19-year-old Gukesh is in joint lead with points along with Magnus Carlsen , Wesley So, and Jan-Krzysztof Duda. Speaking to Take Take Take, Magnus praised R. Praggnanandhaa and said Gukesh has improved but he is not impressed by any of the young Indian talent yet. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! "Pragg has done very, very well for a while now," said Carlsen. "I mean, he's won three classical super tournaments this year, which is extremely impressive. The other kids, they have their ups and downs. "Normally, you would think in such a format, Alireza would be very strong. He probably has not had the best start, but I'm sure he'll be there. "Gukesh is showing signs of improvement as well. It's very hard to say who's going to do well. "But in terms of impressing me, well, that remains to be seen." Carlsen admitted after Round 1 that he was a bit rusty. "I feel like it was a little bit shaky today, especially in time trouble. Of course, in the first game, nothing really happened. In the second, I managed to eke out a win somehow against Wesley. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo "Didn't really feel that I had much at all. But then all of a sudden, I think he missed a little trick when I was able to keep the bishops on the board. And I think he got quite rattled after that. "In the last game, I didn't particularly mind the draw. But I also wanted to try. And I felt like I managed to get chances there out of nothing. "I don't know if I had serious winning chances. Towards the end, I was really flirting with a loss as well. But yeah, overall, the score is all right. I'll take that. But it feels a bit rusty." IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Ex-England cricketer reminded of legendary India captain when watching Shubman Gill bat

Shubman Gill scored a Test century for second match running against England. (AP) Former England cricketer David Lloyd has drawn parallels between Shubman Gill 's batting style and that of Mohammad Azharuddin following the Indian cricket team captain's impressive century on the opening day of the second India-England Test at Edgbaston. The 25-year-old Indian skipper remained unbeaten at 114 runs off 216 deliveries, leading India to a strong position of 310/5 in 85 overs. Gill's performance came at a crucial moment when India were 95/2, demonstrating his ability to balance defensive and aggressive play throughout his innings. This century marked his fourth against England and seventh overall in Test cricket. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! The achievement placed Gill in distinguished company, joining Virat Kohli, Vijay Hazare, and Sunil Gavaskar as Indian cricketers who have scored centuries in their first two Tests as captain. IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Shubman Gill's statement ton, Jaiswal misses out & Karun Nair at No.3? "Shubman Gill has slotted in seamlessly at number four, with a century at Headingley and another hundred here. Batting looks effortless to him and he is wonderful to watch. He reminds me of Mohammad Azharuddin, who with his languid stroke play and relaxed mannerisms looked like nothing fazed him," Lloyd wrote in his Daily Mail column. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Lloyd also addressed Gill's leadership capabilities, noting the challenges ahead for the young captain. "At just 25, Gill's next challenge is to get comfortable with the captaincy because he looked a little confused at Leeds," Lloyd observed. The Indian team made three strategic changes for the second Test, bringing in Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, and Akash Deep to replace Shardul Thakur, Sai Sudharsan, and Jasprit Bumrah. Yashasvi Jaiswal press conference: On Shubman Gill, confusion in India team selection and more Lloyd criticised India's team selection strategy for the second Test, suggesting it reflected a conservative approach aimed at securing a draw. "India made three changes and what I'm hearing is that their camp would be happy to get to Lord's, just one-nil down. They lengthened the tail after the collapses at Headingley and my interpretation is that they've loaded this team with batters and would be happy with a draw. If you get into that mindset before you've even started, you're shooting yourself in the foot," Lloyd stated. Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story. Watch Episode 2 here.

'NSP's 360-degree approach can pitchfork India as superpower'

PT Usha (PTI Photo) The new sports policy, christened the Khelo Bharat Niti, could not have been better timed. Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's vision to transform India into healthy and sporty nation by 2047 is fundamental to becoming a global powerhouse. Implemented in totality, the 360-degree approach of Khelo Bharat Niti and its collaborative model can make India a force to reckon with. The definition of sports has changed. 'Olympism' is at the heart of sports. It is not about winning medals alone. It is about enhancing awareness, understanding your health, uplifting your body and mind to achieve excellence. Khelo Bharat Niti attempts to ride sports for social development and make it a people's movement. I must mention how PM Modi's Fit India movement is making a significant impact regardless of age and gender. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! One unique aspect of PM Modi's vision is that it is conservative in approach. No big talk and it does not sell dreams. The government attempts to channelize youthfulness into by-products that will help build a Viksit Bharat. Very important Somewhat important Not important One needs to set a process to achieve results and when we think of the several government initiatives like Khelo India, Target Olympic Podium Scheme etc., that process is already in place. Only some fine tuning, adjustments, a consolidated and positive approach among stakeholders are needed. One major aspect of the new sports policy is its alignment with the National Education Policy. I have personally felt the impact of sports at the school level. Before I excelled at the state, national and international arenas, I was first a school games champion. My roots were strong because I was honing my strengths from my school days. Additionally, block-level sports infrastructure will be developed to ensure that even the most rural or remote areas have access to facilities, fostering inclusivity and engagement. If this happens, we will have an infra pyramid and a well-oiled feeder line that can benefit the country in the long run. EXCLUSIVE | David Gower on Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah and India's England tour As Indian Olympic Association president, it gives me great hope that Khelo Bharat Niti will pave the way for Indian athletes to make a mark at the 2036 Olympics. We have bid for the Games and still have 11 years to prepare. It takes anything between eight to 12 years to develop into a potential Olympic medallist. If Khelo Bharat Niti is implemented in letter and spirit, we can see golden days ahead. Talking of the ecosystem, while athletes and their coaches remain our biggest priority, administrators have to play their roles as well. The sports policy attempts at complete transparency in governance and an effective process that is gender neutral, sustainable, impartial and believes in fair play. We can achieve great results if the ecosystem is seamless and we constantly find solutions to issues we face. Corporates need to look at the bigger picture and their main objective should be the welfare of athletes, nothing else. Every successful nation at the Olympics not only showcases great athletes but a unified Olympic committee that prides itself in meeting the objectives to attain excellence on and off the pitch. Khelo Bharat Niti will help reach the desired solidarity among National Sports Federations which make key decisions to make athletes shine. It is important that everyone is on the same page and there is a solution for every problem. Consolidation of ideas, opportunity at every age level, development of infrastructure and multiple platforms to express one's skills are fundamental to sporting development and the new sports policy is therefore a perfect roadmap to enhance the culture of sports in India.
