The ShopRite LPGA Classic is heating up at the scenic Seaview's Bay Course, where every shot is crucial in this 54-hole battle. With the bay breeze adding a touch of unpredictability, top players are rising to the occasion.

Currently leading the field is Ilhee Lee, whose consistent play has put her in a prime position heading into the final round. The stakes are high not just for the coveted 13th LPGA Tour title, but also for a winner's prize of $262,500 out of the $1.75 million purse.
Meanwhile, World No. 1 Nelly Korda is staging a strong comeback. Despite a slow start on Friday with an even-par 71, the American superstar roared back on Saturday with an impressive 66, featuring six birdies and only one bogey.

Korda, who recently became the first American woman to top the rankings for 100 consecutive weeks, is still chasing her first win of the season. After a heartbreaking finish at Erin Hills, she entered the ShopRite Classic sitting outside the top 50—but Saturday's round has reignited hope.

Speaking ahead of the final round, Korda emphasized the impact of better weather conditions: 'The weather was better. Wasn't as windy. When the wind is down, you can be a little bit more aggressive.'
She also reflected on the crowd's energy, saying, 'It's my favorite part of what I do—kind of inspiring the next generation.' Her return to the event after a few years has been met with great fanfare, and she's clearly soaking in the support.
"I think definitely seeing a trend in a really great direction with even just the fans that have been coming out so it's great to see and it's great to play in front of as well," Korda added.
Though six strokes behind the leader, Korda's surge has momentum and belief behind it. As she heads into the final round, fans and followers will be hoping for one more magical day from the World No. 1.

Warriors Reportedly 'Moving Away' From Long-Rumored Center Target

Warriors Reportedly 'Moving Away' From Long-Rumored Center Target originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Golden State Warriors entered the 2025 offseason with a key need towering above the rest: acquire a starting center. So far, nothing has materialized. Advertisement The Warriors have watched key names like Brook Lopez and Clint Capela sign elsewhere during free agency. Even a potential trade target like Jonas Valanciunas has found a new home in Denver. Despite the options quickly dwindling, the Warriors reportedly have no qualms about taking names off the board themselves. There is one name who has been tied to the team for a considerable duration that Golden State is losing interest in. That report heavily featured the Warriors, with Kuminga as a big talking point. The Chicago Bulls are one of the teams Fischer expected to be in on the sweepstakes to acquire the Warriors forward. However, hopes of a sign-and-trade bringing Kuminga to Chicago have lessened with the Warriors' fading interest in Nikola Vucevic. Advertisement Fischer wrote, "The Warriors, though, appear to have moved away from past trade interest they previously registered in veteran Bulls center Nikola Vučević, which might have helped spark something this summer." The NBA insider added some potential reasoning as to why the Warriors are pivoting elsewhere. It appears another name has taken the focus of their main interest, with regard to solving the frontcourt problems. Fischer added, "League sources say Golden State remains a leading contender to sign Al Horford away from Boston as a much-needed move to bolster a frontcourt rotation that is no longer home to Warrior-turned-New Orleans Pelican Kevon Looney." Vucevic remained productive in 2024-25. The Bulls center averaged 18.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 31.2 minutes per game, shooting 53.0 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from beyond the arc. Advertisement Vucevic's projected $21.5 million deal could have primed to be included in any sign-and-trade package for Kuminga. Warriors fans will need to wait to see if this fix to the frontcourt is truly off the board. ‘All Signs Point' to Warriors Landing Coveted Free Agent Target

'All Signs Point' to Warriors Landing Coveted Free Agent Target originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The frontcourt vacancy remains open for the Golden State Warriors after a few days have passed since the official beginning to free agency. However, that does not mean the Warriors do not have a plan. It is simply a waiting game at this point. Advertisement Golden State was forced to start Draymond Green at center after the arrival of Jimmy Butler to the Bay Area. That tactic yielded positive results before their eventual second-round elimination. Still, the long-term sustainability of having Green run the five full-time is highly questionable. It is something the Warriors have been looking to address since. Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert battles Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green for rebounding position during their playoff game at Chase Center on May 12, Edmondson-Imagn Images Jake Fischer dropped a rumor mill roundup ahead of the July 4 weekend. The NBA insider offered some reassurance to those Warriors fans hoping that Al Horford would be the answer at the center spot next season. Fischer wrote, "All signs, for the record, continue to point to Al Horford landing with Golden State … eventually. Sunday will be the first day of the 2025-26 salary cap year that NBA teams can make most free agent signings and trades official." Advertisement Horford has come up as a free-agent target for several contending teams previously. Michael Scotto reported earlier in the offseason there were six of those franchises linked to the former NBA champion. Scotto wrote, "Al Horford has received interest from several contending teams since the start of free agency, including the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers, league sources told HoopsHype." If Fischer is to be believed, the Warriors are emerging from the pack of those hungry teams. Horford would fit well in Golden State for a number of reasons too. Despite his advanced age, the 39-year-old remains effective on the defensive end. Horford even holds up as a relatively switchable defender for someone his size. Advertisement Offensively, the veteran center can provide a strong option to space the floor. The Warriors found success with that strategy when deploying Quinten Post in 2024-25. The Warriors and their fans will await eagerly, hoping to hear Horford's official decision in the near future. Caitlin Clark to miss 5th straight game for Fever with a strained left groin

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Caitlin Clark will miss her fifth consecutive game with a strained left groin for the Indiana Fever when they host Los Angeles. The Fever announced Clark's status on Friday, a day before their game against the Sparks. Clark's most recent absence came Thursday night when she sat out Indiana's 81-54 win over Las Vegas as the Fever snapped a 16-game losing streak against the Aces. She also missed the WNBA Commissioner's Cup victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday, which did not count toward the regular-season standings. Clark, the first overall pick in the 2024 draft and one of the two captains selected for the WNBA All-Star Game later this month, never missed a game in college at Iowa or with the Fever as a rookie. A strained quadriceps earlier this season kept her out for five games. ___ AP WNBA:
