YouTuber Trisha Paytas welcomes new baby Aquaman, joining siblings Malibu Barbie and Elvis

Yahoo5 days ago
Paytas has shared every aspect of her life on her YouTube channel since 2007.
The Paytas-Hacmon clan is officially a party of five.
Beloved YouTuber, podcaster, mukbanger, TV star, recording artist, Broadway performer, and poet Trisha Paytas has given birth to her third child, Aquaman. Paytas announced the child's July 12 delivery on Tuesday with an Instagram post featuring 14 images of herself with baby Aquaman, husband Moses Hacmon, and their two other children, Malibu Barbie and Elvis.
"💙AQUAMAN MOSES PAYTAS-HACMON💙 Born 07.12.25 @ 12:40 am 🙏" she wrote in the caption of the post.
In one image, Paytas cheekily nodded to the roots of her enduringly viral fame shooting mukbangs (videos in which Paytas would consume enough food to last a family an entire day) by giddily posing with five trays of sushi, Aquaman under her arm in a hospital bed. Another plays up baby No. 3's unusual name, picturing the infant blissfully slumbering while clad in a child's onesie version of the suit originally worn by the DC character in his 1941 More Fun Comics debut.
Paytas has been a full-time content creator since 2007, when she launched her YouTube channel, @blndsundoll4mj. 2,300 videos, 5 million subscribers, dozens of pop singles, and numerous appearances on TV series like Modern Family, America's Got Talent, Dr. Phil, Celebrity Big Brother UK, and Saturday Night Live later, Paytas has become a pop culture staple.
She began dating Israeli content creator Moses Hacmon in 2020, after meeting on an episode of the podcast Frienemies, which Paytas co-hosted with YouTuber Ethan Klein until 2021. Hacmon is the brother of Hila Klein, Ethan's wife since 2012. The pair grew close while quarantined together during the COVID-19 pandemic, with Hacmon first appearing in a Paytas video one month after the March 2020 lockdown order. The pair were engaged (on camera) in Dec. 2020 and married (also on camera) in Dec. 2021. Exactly nine months later, Paytas' first child, Malibu Barbie, was born. She had previously discussed being told she wouldn't be able to concieve a child after a past chlamydia infection led to pelvic inflammatory disease, which then led to fertility issues.
Paytas opened up earlier this month about what it meant to be able to have not just Malibu Barbie in 2022, but her brother, Elvis, in 2024. "From being told I wouldn't be able to conceive on my own to being pregnant 3 years in a row, I share this as a story of hope," she wrote on Instagram. "While this baby was a surprise, we welcomed the abundance."
In an episode of her Just Trish podcast released Tuesday, Paytas and Hacmon explained how they landed on Aquaman's name. "We watched three movies to really solidify this name," she said, explaining her special connection to the DC hero, and noting that she "knew it was the right name" when she spotted an Aquaman poster at a doctor's visit during her pregnancy.
You can watch the rest of Paytas and Hacmon discussing Aquaman on the Just Trish podcast above.

James Gunn Reveals What Peacemaker S1E1 Scene Isn't Canon to DCU

DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has confirmed which scene from the first episode of Peacemaker Season 1 won't be canon to the DC Universe. This comes ahead of the John Cena-led DCU series' HBO Max return on August 21 for its long-awaited second season. Peacemaker is created, written, and directed by Gunn, who also serves as its showrunner. Season 2 will feature the return of Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick. Joining them are new cast members Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows. Which Peacemaker Season 1 scene isn't canon to the DCU? In the debut episode of the Peacemaker Podcast, Gunn shared some new behind-the-scenes stories and interesting details from Peacemaker Season 1 Episode 1. One of these details includes clarifying which scene from the episode was going to change due to the DCU. When asked about the opening scene from the first episode, which featured Cena's Peacemaker hilariously arguing with a hospital worker about Aquaman, Gunn confirmed that fans will have to disregard the scene since Aquaman won't be a famous superhero during the current timeline of his DCU. 'One of the things that people are most confused by, as Peter Safran and I took over DC is, what is part of the DCU? This is the world that Superman lives in. This is the world that the Creature Commandos lives in. Up until this point, those are the only two things that are fully 100% canon. And the same thing is going to be true about Peacemaker Season 2. It's fully 100% canon in the DC, but we did have to go back and change a few things from Season 1,' Gunn clarified. 'Is Aquaman canon? We don't know. But my guess, I don't think Aquaman's canon. It's unlikely that Aquaman is a famous hero in the DCU as Superman and Peacemaker Season 2 is happening. That's unlikely. But other than that, I really think everything in this episode, I think, is canon.' (Source: Threads) Solve the daily Crossword

In a joint Instagram post on Sunday, Brown shared a stunning wedding photo with Woolard, introducing themselves as "Mr. and Mrs. Woolard 🤍." The nuptials took place on Saturday at Domaine du Mont Leuze in France, attended by 101 guests, according to People. "We wanted something really timeless and classic, and really just the celebration of our love with our friends and family," Brown told the outlet. For the special day, Brown wore a corseted ball gown with intricate leaf embroidery, paired with Jimmy Choo Staz Mesh Bow Pointed Pumps, while Woolard looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo. "I feel like it is so classic, timeless, but also feels a little unique. I love it," Brown shared. "I always knew I wanted to take up space on my wedding day because there's so many times in life, especially as women, that we feel like we need to be smaller. On my wedding day, I didn't want to feel that at all. I feel like a princess, and I feel like that's exactly how you should feel on your wedding day." Woolard also expressed his excitement, telling People he had always envisioned the moment of seeing Brown walk down the aisle. "I have always had a very clear picture of standing up at the altar and looking out at the audience and really connecting with everybody," Woolard said. "But then seeing Hannah walk down, I think is something that I've always had a very clear picture of and how I would feel in that moment. And I just, as a man, knowing that I'm going to get married, I've always had that image in my mind." The couple, who chose to live apart before their wedding, shared that they're looking forward to moving in together and "putting down roots" in Nashville. "We're really focusing on making this house a home together," Brown shared. "Spending time with our families and just having a little bit of a slower pace for just a little bit." Brown first gained recognition on season 23 of "The Bachelor" in 2018, finishing in the top seven, before becoming the lead on season 15 of "The Bachelorette." Brown met Woolard on a dating app, and they announced their engagement in August 2023, sharing a sweet carousel of photos on Instagram, including one where they touched foreheads as Brown showed off her engagement ring. "so happy," she wrote in the caption at the time. "i love our steady love. ❤️." British Comic Nish Kumar on How YouTube Helped Him Achieve Success Outside of the U.K.

British comic and podcast host Nish Kumar knows the value of Netflix specials for A-listers like Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle. But he sees emerging comedians like himself with slow-burn careers often getting their biggest boost globally from YouTube after years playing clubs big and small back home. 'I'm primarily known in North America because of a British show called Taskmaster, which people outside the UK watch on YouTube,' Kumar told The Hollywood Reporter while performing at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal. The podcast gig followed Kumar appearing on stage at a live London comedy show produced by Crooked Media, which was followed by that proverbial chance call from Hollywood. Soon after he walked off stage, he got a call from Los Angeles asking if he could be at a meeting in London in 20 minutes. 'And I was like, I'm already there. I'm literally in the audience. So I got pulled out of the crowd like Courteney Cox in the 'Dancing in the Dark' video,' Kumar recalled. Later, Crooked Media asked if he'd be interested in launching and hosting a British show, which he did. Kumar's Pod Save the UK offers a weekly fix on U.K. politics. That means Kumar and co-host Khan got to cover the downfall of British prime minister Boris Johnson over his rule-breaking parties in No. 10 during the COVID-19 pandemic. 'In terms of historic failures of leadership, I think Johnson's conduct in the pandemic is one of those things that people will study for years,' Kumar says. But while the U.K.'s Conservative Party sent Johnson packing, Kumar has a take on why Donald Trump, also judged by many as a political buffoon whose erratic style endears him to followers, was restored to the White House for a second term. 'Trump has killed the broad church in the Republican Party. It's no longer a political party. It's a delivery system for a single man and that's a huge problem,' he insists. As Nigel Farage, a protégé of Trump, challenges Britain's current Labor government in the polls, Kumar doesn't look forward to his Reform UK party coming to power to reinvigorate his political comedy. 'The thing with (Farage) and Trump is there is a shamelessness. It actually makes it harder to make fun of them. Politicians in theory are supposed to conduct themselves with a level of dignity that means there's something to prick for principles. Farage and Trump are congenitally shameless men,' Kumar said. The Just For Laughs comedy festival continues through Sunday.
