Qatari Hajj Mission to return home today
MAKKAH AL MUKKARAMAH
The Qatari Hajj Mission will arrive in Doha on Wednesday from Makkah after performing the Hajj's rituals easily and comfortably.
Deputy Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri confirmed that the current season has witnessed unprecedented success in terms of organisation, coordination, and services provided to the pilgrims of the State of Qatar. He noted that the country's pilgrims returned home safely today and yesterday, and their arrival will continue on Wednesday, via several Qatar Airways and Saudi Airlines flights.
He added that the Qatari mission worked around the clock through its various support units, including coordination, follow-up, and airport services, the communications, the medical unit, the holy sites services unit, the monitoring and inspection unit, the Sharia unit, and others. These units worked within an integrated system to ensure the best Hajj experience for the country's pilgrims.
The Deputy Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission indicated that the facilities and quality services Qatari pilgrims experienced from their departure to their return after performing the rituals were due to a number of factors that combined to provide a distinguished Hajj experience.
He explained that the Qatari mission played a pivotal role in managing pilgrims' affairs, through direct coordination with the specialised Makkah Hospitality Company, to fully equip the camps for pilgrims in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, utilising the best capabilities and highest quality standards.
This enabled Qatari campaigns to fully devote themselves to serving pilgrims in an atmosphere of spiritual comfort and reassurance.
Al Misifri also pointed out that the mission ensured continuous coordination with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the relevant security authorities.
This contributed to facilitating the movement of pilgrims during the Day of Tarwiya and from Arafat to Muzdalifah, then returning to Mina to stone the Jamarat. This reflects the depth of fraternal cooperation and joint support in serving the Guests of God.
The Deputy Head of the Mission praised the constructive cooperation of the 17 accredited Qatari campaigns, appreciating their significant efforts in coordinating with the mission and their commitment to adhering to the movement of pilgrims' plans, security and safety requirements, and full integration to ensure an ideal Hajj season, including providing the utmost comfort and support for the country's pilgrims.
He emphasised that the effective partnership between the mission and the campaigns reflected the success and represented a model to be emulated in serving pilgrims, commending the extensive efforts made by the advisory committee as well as all heads and members of the mission's administrative, technical, and service units, working around the clock. These efforts have positively impacted the quality of the equipment, services, and facilities provided to Qatari pilgrims across all campaigns.
In this context, Al Misifri highlighted that upon its return to the homeland, the mission will begin preparing for the upcoming Hajj season by studying challenges, leveraging feedback from pilgrims and campaigns, and developing operational and logistical plans to achieve the growing ambitions of providing the best services according to the highest standards.
The Deputy Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission praised the tremendous efforts made by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to facilitate the performance of Hajj rituals. He commended the efforts of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and all security and service bodies, whose positive cooperation had a profound impact on the success of the season.

QA and Kenya Airways ink strategic partnership deal
Tribune News Network DOHA Qatar Airways (QA) and Kenya Airways have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), confirming the intention to enter a strategic partnership which will include a comprehensive codeshare agreement and increased flights between the East African state and QA's award-winning Doha hub, Hamad International Airport. The MoU signing took place on Monday in Doha between Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer and Kenya Airways Group Managing Director and CEO, Allan Kilavuka. The partnership will see Qatar Airways introducing a third daily frequency between Doha and Nairobi in codeshare with Kenya Airways, with flights due to be available for booking over the coming days. The new offering will be complemented by the launch of Kenya Airways operated, and Qatar Airways marketed, flights between Mombasa and Doha during the coming winter season. The two airlines will also codeshare on both networks to offer seamless connections and greater choice for travellers from around the world. Additionally, both Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways will look to develop collaboration in other parts of the business, including cargo, airport and ground services, product development, loyalty programmes, procurement as well as maintenance, repair and overhaul. Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer said: 'This partnership is yet another demonstration of our deepening ties with the African region. Today's agreement – which comes as we celebrate 20 years of flying to Kenya – is coupled with our recognisable record of partnerships across the continent, most recently through our investment in Airlink. Our growing collaboration with our African counterparts ensures that Qatar Airways continues to contribute to the continent's rapidly evolving aviation and economic ecosystem.' Allan Kilavuka, said: 'This partnership perfectly aligns with our airline's robust turnaround strategy, which saw Kenya Airways' return to profit for the first time in more than a decade earlier this year. The collaboration will also help expedite Kenya Airways' efforts to boost tourism and air cargo activities, turning these and others into pivotal economic growth propellers for Kenya and the East Africa region.' The partnership highlights two leading airlines collaborating to bring excellence to their global community of travellers. Kenya Airways, for the fourth consecutive year, has been recognised as Africa's Leading Airline and Business Class by the World Travel Awards 2025. Qatar Airways – the only five-star global airline based in the Middle East and the reigning World's Best Airline as voted by Skytrax in 2025 – offers over 170 weekly flights to 30 cities across Africa. Over the past year, Qatar Airways has also optimised its schedule in most African destinations to improve connectivity to key destinations, including Brussels, Guangzhou, London, New York, and Washington through its award-winning hub, Hamad International Airport.
