Grigor Dimitrov's Girlfriend: Eiza Gonzalez Isn't the First Famous Woman He's Dated

Yahoo08-07-2025
Actress Eiza Gonzalez is turning heads at Wimbledon, but she's not the only famous woman who Grigor Dimitrov has dated. He has dated women from the tennis, modeling and music worlds.
The Bulgarian tennis pro had a dramatic exit from Wimbledon on July 7 when he retired mid-match with a pec injury while in the lead against the world's #1 tennis player, Jannik Sinner.
His current girlfriend, the Baby Driver and Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw actress, gave him a big shout-out on her Instagram story after that injury.
"Love of my life. I couldn't be more proud of you. You are BEYOND outstanding," she wrote after Dimitrov was injured. "This is just a moment that will pass and will make you even stronger. But watching you today alongside the world was a reminder of who YOU are. You're a winner. We all saw it. And you'll do it again. ❤️ I love you @grigordimitrov."
He previously dated Pussycat Dolls alum Nicole Scherzinger. In 2018, they were spotted kissing on a yacht.
They lasted for about two years, and she posted a cryptic Instagram message when rumors swirled that they had broken up, according to US Weekly. It read, in part, "I am love. I am worthy. I am abundant. I am loved. I am magic. I matter. I am generous. I am alive..."
"It's not easy,' Dimitrov said in an interview then, about balancing tennis with his relationship with Scherzinger, according to US Weekly. 'The schedules are very heavy. But she's doing a better job than I am of being able to come to most of the places I'm at.'
For several years, he was linked to tennis superstar Maria Sharapova.
According to the New York Post, Dimitrov and Sharapova "were the sport's power couple between 2013 and 2015 before they parted ways."
He was asked about her at a news conference in 2020 and said, according to the Post, 'No, no, she's good. We have always kept a good friendship, good relationship."
He added: 'I'm not worried about her. I think she's in a good place, I think in her life. She's also the type of person that when you make such a, you know, such a decision and transition, you know it's for the right (reason) and for the good. I don't know. I wish I could tell you more.'
Dimitrov also was rumored to be dating tennis legend Serena Williams at one point. That rumor dates back to 2012 and was never confirmed, according to Wales Online.
Wales Online reports that he also dated Romanian actress Madalina Ghenea, who played Sophia Loren in House of Gucci.Grigor Dimitrov's Girlfriend: Eiza Gonzalez Isn't the First Famous Woman He's Dated first appeared on Men's Journal on Jul 8, 2025

Hulk Hogan Real American Beer is selling out after WWE wrestler's death

Only a pro wrestling legend like Hulk Hogan could beat the alcohol sales slump. Real American Beer, co-founded by Hulk Hogan, is quickly selling out across stores nationwide following the news of his death. He passed away on July 24 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter From his recognizable bleached-blond hair, signature mustache, and iconic bandanas, Terry Gene Bollea, known in the entertainment industry as Hulk Hogan, was one of the most legendary professional American wrestlers in history. He rose to fame for his time with WWE and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Founded in 2024, Real American Beer is the official beer and sponsor of Real American Freestyle, a new pro wrestling league co-founded by Hulk Hogan in April. Related: Guinness beer partners with ice cream brand known for wild flavors The demand for the beer has been so high that the official website now has an announcement with the following message to customers: "We're experiencing high order volume and working hard to get every package out. Shipping may take 2-4 weeks to begin tracking." Real American Beer has become Hogan's fans' way to commemorate his legacy. Following the passing of Hulk Hogan, Real American Beer took to Instagram to honor him with a heartfelt post. "When we set out to launch Real American Beer one year ago, it was with Hulk's vision and mission. He said he believed that Real American Beer and its message to America could leave an even bigger legacy than his wrestling career," the post stated. Related: Netflix makes another major change subscribers will hate Hundreds of Hulk Hogan fans flooded the Instagram post with messages about the beloved pro wrestler and his beer brand. A netizen commented, "I will be drinking a few today in his memory. Rest easy, Hulkster, we love you." Another user commented, "Now we bring his legacy to every bar, every billboard, and every beer-drinking American in his honor!! My condolences." A loyal fan even revealed he would be breaking his sobriety by commenting, "I don't drink at all, but I will be going to the supermarket today to get a case and have one for him." Alcohol sales have fallen since their peak during the COVID-19 pandemic, as economic uncertainty and rising inflation have led consumers to reduce their spending, and now tariffs have become yet another factor affecting the already challenged alcohol industry. Additionally, changing consumer habits are reshaping the market. Younger generations, particularly Millennials and Gen Z, are becoming more health-conscious, driving a 6% year-over-year increase in non-alcoholic beverage consumption in the U.S. U.S. beer products and imports declined by 1% in 2024, while craft brewer volume sales dropped 4%. This has slightly reduced small and independent brewers' share of the U.S. beer market by volume to 13.3%, according to data from the Brewers Association. Beer sales might be down overall, but the success of Real American Beer is a testament to Hulk Hogan's strong influence and long-lasting legacy. Baby in 'newborn era' named after Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift

A baby born in Missouri has been named after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Liberty Hospital shared in a social media post Friday, July 25 that they were "so excited to announce the birth of the youngest Swiftie and newest member of The Kansas City Chiefs Red Kingdom!!" "Kelce Taylor is officially in her newborn era," the hospital happily announced. The news follows the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's first public Instagram photos with the pop superstar after two years of dating. The NFL star player — widely considered to be one of the greatest tight ends in history — wrote on Instagram that he "had some adventures this offseason," which included ice skating with Swift and rare glimpses into the couple's date nights. 'Happy Gilmore 2': The wildest celeb cameos, from Travis Kelce to Eminem The A-listers have stayed lowkey since Kelce's Super Bowl loss with the Chiefs in February, when the team fell short of a three-peat trophy win. Swift, too, is in a career offseason, recently wrapping her globetrotting, record-setting Eras Tour in December which spanned nearly 150 shows. Despite their newfound lowkey nature, it has been an exciting year for the pair. On her Instagram account, Swift announced that she reclaimed ownership of her entire music catalog in May. She posted a photo of herself sitting on the floor surrounded by her first six albums with the comment, "You belong with me," a nod to her hit from 2008's "Fearless" album. In 2019, Swift first said in a Tumblr post that she "wasn't given an opportunity to buy" the original recordings of her first six albums. Contributing: Bryan West, Melissa Ruggieri

Inside Zohran Mamdani's posh multi-day Uganda wedding bash with phone jamming system, armed guards

Socialist NYC mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani celebrated his recent nuptials with a lavish, three-day affair at his family's ritzy, secluded Ugandan compound — complete with masked security guards and a cellphone jamming system, The Post has learned. The gates of the bustling, private compound, which sits in the wealthy Buziga Hill area outside the capital city of Kampala, were heavily guarded by military-style, masked men this week, with guests streaming in and partying until midnight, according to sources in the town who wished to remain anonymous for security reasons. Mamdani, 33, eloped with artist and animator Rama Duwaji, 27, in February. Advertisement He told his social media followers Sunday he was heading to his homeland to celebrate with his wealthy filmmaker mom and professor dad, who own the Buziga Hill property. The neighborhood is home to some of Uganda's richest, including billionaire businessman Godfrey Kirumira, a city tycoon with stakes in real estate, tourism, petroleum and infrastructure, and houses neighboring the Mamdanis easily fetch more than $1 million. 6 Rama Duwaji and NYC Mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani, who eloped in February, were celebrating their nuptials with a multi-day bash in his native Uganda. Instagram/Le Marché des Fleurs Advertisement The home is set back from the road and sits on two acres of lush gardens surrounded by trees, has breathtaking, panoramic view of Lake Victoria and features at least three security gates. This week, it was transformed into a party pad, with Christmas lights strung into the canopy of trees in the garden and music blaring, sources said. On Tuesday, buses, several Mercedes and a Range Rover 4 were seen driving to the compound. 6 Christmas lights were seen strung into trees inside the Mamdani property's garden. Katumba Badru/New York Post Security was extremely tight, sources said. Advertisement 'Outside the Mamdani house were more than 20 special forces command unit guards, some in masks, and there was a phone-jamming system set up — and all for the strictly invite-only Mamdani event,' one witness confirmed to The Post. 'One gate had around nine guards stationed at it,' they added. 6 Guards including government-style security were placed outside Mamdani's house as he celebrated his wedding. Katumba Badru/New York Post Mamdani's parents, Nair, 67, and her husband, Mahmood Mamdani, 78, an anti-Israel political theorist, live on the estate but also split their time between New York and New Delhi. Nair's Instagram page includes one post featuring a coconut tree planted when Mamdani was born. Advertisement A native of Kampala, Mamdani moved to New York when he was 7, becoming a U.S citizen in 2018. He'd announced his marriage to Duwaji, an illustrator, earlier this year. The pair met on the dating app, Hinge and now share a rent-stabilized apartment in Astoria. On Thursday, revelers enjoyed fruit juices, a typical addition for Indian-style events, as well as dancing to music from a local DJ, sources told The Post. 6 Mamdani and Rama Duwaji who spent three days celebrating their wedding at the Mamdani house outside Kampala. Getty Images One witness reported making out the NYC's Democratic mayoral nominee's voice on a microphone addressing guests later that night, with the party ending after midnight. 'Then on Friday, inside the compound, there were military style tents being taken down when the party had finished,' they added. 'Then what looked like Mamdani personal security guards took over at the gates.' 6 Flowers were left outside a closed gate at Mamdani's home after days of wedding celebrations in Buziga, Kampala. Katumba Badru/New York Post 'Flowers were also left in a pile on the ground near one of the security gates.' The property is isolated enough that some locals weren't even aware of the three-day wedding extravaganza. Advertisement 'Local children have been watching Mamdani on TV, and everyone was talking about him, but not about the wedding,' another resident said. 'For us, it's just about survival. We're just trying to win the bread and make sure our families are OK.' 'We had heard that Mamdani was going to be Mayor of New York, and he had made it over in America,' another added. 'We want to know now if we can get free visas to the U.S. and to travel to New York like he did.' 6 Expensive cars were seen arriving at Buziga Hill Road last week as Mamdani threw a party for his wedding. Katumba Badru/New York Post While the Mamdani family celebrated, neighbors were in mourning for former Ugandan Supreme Court Judge George Kanyeihamba, who had lived a stones throw from the Mamdani's place and died July 14. Advertisement Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni also came to pay his respects to Kanyeihamba and 'the street was blocked by the president's cars,' a local said. Some found Mamdani's wedding bash 'insensitive.' 'Because of the culture here, it was insensitive to have a wedding celebration in the same week as mourning – or 'Okukungubaga' – as it's called here,' one told The Post. 'People are still in mourning,' the person added, pointing in the direction of Kanyeihamba's house, about three minutes away from the Mamdani property. Advertisement 'He has not even been buried, and we have his friends coming to give last words and to mourn before the burial next week, yet Mamdani is celebrating his wedding for three days,' the source continued. It's unclear if Museveni also attended Mamdani's party. Mamdani did not respond to a request for comment from The Post. Advertisement The Queens assemblyman confirmed in an Instagram video that he would stay in Uganda until the end of the month. 'Since you will undoubtedly read about this trip in The New York Post —Inshallah on the front page—here are a few of my humble suggestions for headlines,' Mamdani quipped while holding a slew of newspaper covers, one which read, 'M.I.A.:MAMDANI IN AFRICA.'
