Who's in the Royal Box at Wimbledon? David Beckham among celebrities on Centre Court on day one

Sir David Beckham was among the first famous faces spotted at Wimbledon as the world's most prestigious tennis tournament got underway in SW19.
The former England football captain, who was recently knighted, arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club with his mum Sandra.
The 50-year-old looked effortlessly stylish in a sharp navy suit as he posed for photos and greeted staff before taking his seat in the Royal Box.
Beckham also posed for a selfie with tennis legend Maria Sharapova, which was shared on X account OneTennis.
'Sharapova. Beckham. #Wimbledon. Enough said.' the accompanying caption said, along with a tennis ball and strawberry emoji.

The pair were among the early celebrity arrivals helping to launch the opening day of this year's tournament.
It marked a special outing for Sandra Beckham, who appeared delighted to be enjoying a day courtside with her son. The pair have often been spotted at Wimbledon over the years, with David calling it one of his 'favourite events of the summer.'
Also in attendance was former England football manager Sir Gareth Southgate, who arrived solo and gave a friendly wave to spectators.
He shared a joke with Beckham in the Royal Box.
Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne was seen arriving in a smart suit with wife Hannah and appeared in good spirits as he joined the action from the stands. A long-time Wimbledon fan, Redmayne is regularly spotted at Centre Court throughout the fortnight.
Cricket star Stuart Broad, who retired from professional play in 2023, also made an appearance. Now carving out a career in commentary, Broad looked relaxed as he chatted with fellow guests and enjoyed the sunshine.
Wimbledon is famed not only for its elite tennis but also for its A-list spectators – and with the likes of Beckham and Sharapova kicking off the festivities, this year's tournament promises glamour, drama, and plenty of star power.

Man United reject chance to sign former Premier League star Jhon Duran

Manchester United were reportedly offered the chance to sign Colombian striker Jhon Duran on loan but rejected the chance. The Red Devils are scouring the market for a striker and it was reported yesterday that they have made inquiries for Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins. Advertisement They also have been tracking Viktor Gyokeres all summer and maintain an interest in Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike. One name that they weren't really linked to in the wider media is former Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran who signed for Al Nassr in January of this year. Nonetheless, Fabrizio Romano revealed on his YouTube channel last night that the Red Devils were in fact offered the chance to sign the Colombian star this summer. The Italian journalist revealed, 'Man United were also offered the possibility to sign Jhon Duran from Al Nassr on an initial loan deal.' They were asked to cover his salary but 'Man United decided to turn down that possibility to focus on different targets.' Advertisement Romano claims that United have decided to prioritise different players and are now fully focused on 'advancing for Bryan Mbeumo.' It is perhaps surprising that United would have rejected the chance to sign such a young talent who has a proven record in the Premier League. The Colombian scored 12 goals in 29 appearances for Villa last season before moving to Saudi Arabia. The forward continued to bang in the goals in Saudi Arabia as he netted 12 in 18 appearances for Al Nassr. Romano has since reported that after United rejecting a loan deal, Duran's move to Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce is a 'here we go'. Advertisement He posted on X, 'Al Nassr let Durán leave on an initial loan with full salary covered until June 2026.' 'Durán has accepted Fenerbahce's proposal after director Devin Özek travelled to Colombia.' Follow us on Bluesky: @
