Shalaby, born on July 24, 1981, is the daughter of former belly dancer and actress Zizi Mustafa. She is one of the brightest actresses among the younger generation of Egyptian stars.
The actress showed a passion for acting from a very early age, no doubt due to the exposure to the industry her mother's fame provided.
Shalaby made her film debut in 'Al Saher' (The Magician) as Nour in 2001. She scored her next role alongside prominent actress Layla Elwy in the 2004 film 'Baheb El Seema'.
Since then, she co-starred with many talented actors and directors such as renowned director Youssef Chahine in the film 'Heya Fawda' (2007), Ahmed Abdallah in the film 'Microphone' (2010), and Yousry Nasrallah in the film 'Baad el Mawkeaa' (2012) about the infamous Battle of the Camel during the January 25 uprising.

Egyptian film Aisha Can't Fly Away to hold its African premiere in Durban Film Fest - Screens - Arts & Culture

The Egyptian film Aisha Can't Fly Away is set to screen at the upcoming Durban International Film Festival in South Africa, taking place from 17 to 27 July 2025. The screening will mark the film's African premiere. Directed by Morad Mostafa, the film had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section at the 78th Cannes Film Festival (13–24 May). Aisha Can't Fly Away tells the story of Aisha, a 26-year-old Somali woman living and working in Ain Shams, a working-class neighbourhood in eastern Cairo that has become home to many African refugees in recent years. The film was written by Mostafa, Mohammad Abdulqader, and Sawsan Yusuf and stars Buliana Simona, Emad Ghoneim, Mamdouh Salah, and Egyptian rapper Ziad Zaza. During its production phase, Aisha Can't Fly Away, and another Egyptian film, garnered the majority of prizes awarded by the Venice Film Festival's Final Cut 2024. The jury at Venice's Final Cut described the film as 'a powerful and authentic story filled with the environment's challenges and complexities.' 'Despite being Mostafa's first feature film, it showcased confident direction and a distinct cinematic voice. The film's gritty realism, attention to detail, and impactful storytelling left a strong impression on us,' the jury added. The film also received awards from Titra Film (Paris), Rai Cinema (Italy), the Cinémathèque Afrique of the Institut Français (Paris), and the Festival International du Films de Fribourg (Switzerland). Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud visits children's cancer hospital

Local media shared a series of photos capturing the Aladdin star interacting with young patients. During the visit, Massoud spoke with children, their families, and hospital staff. He expressed his deep appreciation for the experience, emphasizing that supporting sick children is a human duty before it is a media responsibility. Massoud's official statement reads: 'My visit to Hospital 57357 was one of the most moving moments of my life. These children are true heroes, and just being among them gives me a different kind of energy. I'm proud that such a medical institution exists in my home country, Egypt, and I'm happy that I was able to be a part of their day.' Mena Massoud Born to Egyptian parents and raised in Canada, Massoud began his acting career in Canadian cinema and television. He appeared in Nikita (2011–2013), playing a member of Al-Qaeda, and had roles in Combat Hospital (2011) as well as the Canadian-American series Open Heart (2015). In 2014, he starred in the Canadian short comedy Americanistan, portraying a character named Mohammed Ali. He went on to take leading roles in Canadian films, including the short drama Final Exam (2017) and the drama-mystery Ordinary Days (2017). He was also cast in Strange but True. Massoud broke into Hollywood with a starring role in Aladdin, opposite Will Smith and Naomi Scott. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film was shortlisted for Best Original Song at the 92nd Academy Awards, though it was not ultimately nominated. Aladdin performed well at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards, winning several categories, and also received the Favorite Family Movie award at the 2019 People's Choice Awards. The film is an adaptation of the popular tale Alaa El-Din and the Magic Lamp, one of the stories from the 18th-century collection Alf Laila wi Laila (Arabian Nights). Following Aladdin, Massoud appeared in a short video with Will Smith titled Friend Like Me, as well as in the TV series Reprisal. His more recent work includes roles in films such as Wish You Were Here, The Sacrifice Game, and The Royal Treatment, as well as TV series like Evolving Vegan and History of the World: Part II, among others. He recently completed filming In Broad Daylight, his first project shot in Egypt, in which he plays a young Egyptian caught up in an international mafia. In Broad Daylight is written by Karim Sorour and directed by Marcos Adel. Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:

"The Batman 2" Script Is Finally Complete

Yara Sameh DC fans have finally received some good news about the future of the highly anticipated 'The Batman' sequel. Writer-director Matt Reeves shared a photo of the completed script on Friday after several delays. 'Partners in Crime (Fighters),' Reeves wrote in a shared Instagram post with co-writer Mattson Tomlin. The first page of the script is blurred out, but a Batman logo can be seen very clearly at the top. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Matt Reeves (@mattreevesla) It's been a long wait for an update on 'The Batman Part II,' which was originally announced in April 2022, a month after the original Robert Pattinson blockbuster soared into theaters. After several delays, the sequel is now scheduled for October 1, 2027 — five and a half years after the original made more than $772 million at the global box office. The news comes just a couple weeks ahead of the big-screen debut of James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC Universe with 'Superman.' Gunn addressed DC fans' online outrage over 'The Batman' Part II' script delay in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. 'Listen, we're supposed to get a script in June. I hope that happens. We feel really good about it,' Gunn noted. 'People should get off Matt's nuts because it's like, let the guy write the screenplay in the amount of time he needs to write it. That's just the way it is. He doesn't owe you something because you like his movie. I mean, you like his movie because of Matt. So let Matt do things the way he does.' He added, 'I am irritated by people. I mean, it's just that thing people don't need to be entitled about. It's going to come out when he feels good about the screenplay. And Matt's not going to give me the screenplay until he feels good about the screenplay.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
