Corrie exit story confirmed in early ITVX release as sad decision is made

Corrie exit story confirmed in early ITVX release as sad decision is made

Metro2 days ago
This article contains spoilers for tonight's Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.
A Coronation Street exit has been confirmed as Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) received news from a social worker in tonight's episode.
Sally and husband Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) have been fostering the Michaelis kids, following their parents' arrests.
Mick Michaelis was arrested and charged with the murder of Craig Tinker earlier this year, while Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) was arrested for her assault on Gary Windass (Mikey North).
In tonight's scenes, Sally found out that Lou planned to plead guilty to the assault, meaning she would be facing a lengthy prison stretch.
Following the news, Sally agreed to take Joanie and Shanice to see their mum, and asked Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) if he wanted to join them.
Brody agreed to go along, though once they arrived at the prison he was clearly hostile toward Lou.
With the kids out of earshot, Lou defended Brody to Sally, pointing out that this was his way of showing that he was upset.
She went on to confess that she knew she was going to be behind bars for a long time, and asked Sally for a favour.
Lou had previously asked Sally to pay for an expensive lawyer, and Sally reiterated that she couldn't afford one, though Lou insisted that wasn't what she was going to ask for. More Trending
Emotional, she requested that Sally not bring the children to see her anymore, explaining that she didn't want their prison visits to be their core memories of her.
Determined to do right by Brody, Joanie and Shanice, Sally agreed.

With Lou having put a stop to all visits, Metro can confirm that these scenes are the last time we will see Lou, with actress Farrel Hegarty having finished filming earlier this year.

The scales fall from Lisa's eyes in Corrie as she makes discovery about Kit

Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) has had a lot on her mind recently on Coronation Street as the recent death of a colleague brought up a lot of feelings for her about her late wife, Becky. Becky was also a police officer and she was killed while chasing a suspect. She was run over and killed by a getaway car in a tragic incident that has haunted Lisa ever since as it was veiled in a certain amount of mystery. Becky had been under investigation for corruption at the time of her death, something which meant that she and Lisa had argued on the morning she died. It also meant that Becky was denied the kind of funeral that would have seen her honoured by her fellow officers. There's also the possibility that her death might not have been an accident at all, but could have been a deliberate act arising from whatever she was involved in. Lisa has never been able to get answers to her many questions concerning Becky's death as a wall of silence seems to block all her attempts to get to the truth. In upcoming episodes she's feeling the pain of her grief even more acutely because it's the eve of her and Becky's anniversary. She skips her therapy session and goes to visit Becky's grave instead. On the anniversary itself, Carla (Alison King) and Betsy (Sydney Martin) are worried about how Lisa's coping. She insists she's fine and goes off to her therapy session. Finally she allows herself to open up to the therapist and talk about her wife. She says that she's sure there was more to Becky's death than she was ever told and worries that it was something to do with the corruption investigation. Meanwhile Carla has secretly been visiting Logan Radcliffe (Harry Lowbridge) in prison, trying to find out more about what happened to Becky. He and his brother Matty (Seamus McGoff) were involved in the incident that led to Becky's death. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? After her therapy session Lisa decides to do some digging herself and she sneaks into her boss Costello (Daon Broni)'s office, searching his email to see if there's any mention of Becky. More Trending She's disturbed to see something else, though – a request on the computer asking for access to Becky's file. It's from DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts). Lisa is puzzled about why Kit would do such a thing and why he's apparently delving into Becky's background behind her back. She tells Carla that she no longer trusts Kit and she can't work with him any more. What is Kit up to? And will Lisa ever uncover the truth about what happened to her wife? Major Emmerdale couple ‘set to reunite' as Lewis works his magic

Having just managed to turn around the fortunes of the café with his Midas touch, Emmerdale's Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) is about to go into Cupid mode as well. There is nothing this kid can't do, from growing medicinal weed to making the villagers Shakshuka eggs, now he's about to solve his brother's love woes to boot. Lewis learns about Ross Barton (Mike Parr) failed relationship with Steph (Georgia Jay) and resolves to do something about it. Ross and Steph had an unexpected relationship that flourished for a while but quickly became doomed when she learned that she was the product of sexual abuse and that her grandfather was really her father. Something like that can really put a dampener on a fledgling relationship, and for her and Ross it was too much. Steph was distraught to learn of what happened to her mother and became fixated on her looks, claiming that every glance in a mirror she saw Anthony looking back at her. After several failed attempts at plastic surgery, Steph finally broke down and despite all his support, dumped Ross to focus on herself. She told him she couldn't be the person he needed, and she was setting him free. Steph hasn't been seen much since then, but she's back. More Trending Lewis digs into Ross' relationship and finds himself intrigued by the story with Steph. It doesn't seem to have had a proper ending; it was more like bad timing. The smoking gun needed to take down John uncovered by Robert in Emmerdale twist

Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has uncovered a huge piece of information that proves Owen Michaels (Simon Haines) did not kill Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) in Emmerdale. Of course, we know he didn't, but the residents believe he did after DS Walsh found a note on his laptop confirming to the murder. This discovery was made at the same time Walsh and Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) found Owen dead. It looked as though he had ended his life, but John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) let him die after finding him unconscious last week. With the so-called developments now village gossip, Robert grew suspicious yesterday when Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) mentioned Owen planting Nate's phone in Frankie's playhouse. He though it was unbelievably strange for Owen to do this, and wondered why he'd take such a risk – surely you'd just lay low? With this in his mind, Robert was given another reason to grow curious about his brother in tonight's episode, when Claudette (Flo Wilson) said that John visited Owen before he died. A theory being fuelled, Robert was then seen outside Mill Cottage, watching John in his van. The medic was emptying a very full sharps bin into a cardboard box. Robert couldn't understand why John would have so many medical items in his van – but made a mistake by not following John to the scrapyard. There, John poured the sharps bin contents into a metal container and set fire to it. He was caught by Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), but managed to create a cover story by saying he needed to dispose of them for the surgery, and cut corners so they could get on the road for their camping trip quicker. While this was happening, Robert was busy making contact with Owen's brother. Outside The Hide, Steve wasn't really in any mood to talk about Owen. Let's not forget this man spiked Robert a few weeks ago – he was hardly a pillar of the community. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? But Robert needed information to back up his thoughts on John. Eventually, Steve confirmed that he was with Owen the day Nate was killed – and they were in Hull. More Trending This was massive. It was proof that Owen did not kill Nate but the problem? Steve didn't want to tell the police. This was because the job the siblings were doing in Hull was apparently something the police didn't need to know about. Because of this, Steve walked away, not wanting to get involved.
